If you are on the fence about it, my only advice is to go for it. It is completely worth it. Just know what you are signing up for. Codesmith does not babysit you. They give you the tools and the structure, but it is up to you to put in the work. They push you to step up, and that is exactly why you grow so much. It is the perfect mix of being hard enough to inspire you but never so hard that you want to quit.
When it comes to the curriculum, I graduated in November 2023, so I am sure some topics have shifted a little, probably more toward things like AI. But the way the course is structured is what makes it so powerful. In the first half you are getting new lectures every single day. It feels overwhelming and you might think you are not learning everything. Everyone feels that way. What you are really doing is collecting all the pieces of the puzzle. Then, when you hit the project stage, everything clicks. That is when your learning grows exponentially. I loved that stage and learned so much. It did not even hit me until I got my first job how prepared I really was. I realized I had skills that people already in the field were missing, like using the terminal and git properly. Trust the process because it works.
The job search stage was the hardest part for me. By that point I was already a little burnt out. But the great thing is Codesmith keeps supporting you even after you graduate. They offer resume reviews, interview prep, and career coaching. I had my resume reviewed twice and did four mock interviews. After my first mock interview with Alexander, one of the career coaches, I left with so many tips that every phone screen I had after that turned into a real interview. The support is there, you just have to take advantage of it.
Another part that surprised me was the community. I did not think it would matter much, but it ended up being one of the most important things. Your peers are the ones who help you through the tough moments, especially during the job search. I am also grateful to Eric who helped me negotiate my offers and guided me in the right direction.Looking back, I would do it all over again. Codesmith gave me everything I needed to succeed and the support did not stop once the program ended. If you are serious about becoming a software engineer, this is the program to choose.

I am currently working with Job Placement to get hired. I learned many programming languages and frameworks and graduated with plenty of knowledge and experience to get hired in the field. Tech Academy has a robust curriculum that can take even the most novice students with no coding experience and give you the tools to be a legitimate developer. They have very encouraging and motivated staff that are ready and available to help out when needed. This was a very intensive program(that is the whole point of a Bootcamp) where you must really be dedicated and willing to put in the time and effort to succeed. With so many lower cost options The Tech Academy can get quite expensive. That being said, there are so many lower cost options that you may dip your toe into the pool of software development but The Tech Academy is really a one-stop shop if you are really serious about being a full-fledged developer. Their curriculum is very extensive. It at times can get a bit repetitive with some of the content but also it is a way to really make the information sink-in. I had a great experience at The Tech Academy and would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about jumping into this field.

Avant l'entrée en formation, l'école invite les futurs élèves à se préparer grâce à des contenus en ligne sur leur plateforme (remise à niveau en maths, découverte de Python, bases de données SQL ...). Je recommande vivement cette école et le cursus suivi.

This program helped bridge that gap by providing a structured, end-to-end understanding of fairness in AI.What I appreciated most was the strong focus on applied fairness, not just theory. The program covered the full lifecycle — from bias detection and fairness metrics to causal analysis, intervention strategies (pre-, in-, post-processing), and governance frameworks.One of the most valuable parts of my journey was building a Fairness Implementation Playbook. It helped me move from just understanding concepts to actually thinking through how fairness decisions are made in real systems — including risk classification, validation, and audit-ready documentation. This really changed how I approach AI systems today.The learning experience also felt very human and interactive. We had regular standups and reviews with JTLs and STLs, where we received feedback, guidance, and practical workarounds. Some sessions were about how we were progressing and coping, while others were open discussions based on questions (including anonymous ones).I personally enjoyed asking a lot of “what if” questions — sometimes random, sometimes very specific — and I was pleasantly surprised that many of them were actually discussed. It created a space where curiosity was encouraged, not dismissed. The mentors were patient, supportive, and very accommodating, which made it easier to explore complex ideas without hesitation.There was also an optional implementation sprint. Initially, I was hesitant, but the STL encouraged me to give it a try and explore the coding side. That push made a big difference, and I’m glad I took that step — it added a practical dimension to everything I was learning.The sprint-based structure kept me accountable, and the continuous feedback helped me grow both technically and analytically. I also appreciated how the curriculum connects fairness concepts to governance and regulatory contexts, which is especially important for high-risk AI systems.Overall, I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to go beyond surface-level AI ethics and build a deeper, more practical understanding of fairness in real-world applications.Thank you to the Turing College team for the support and learning experience — I’m truly grateful for it.(P.S. I had a great time watching and taking part of the presentations. Never thought, an online course could be so intense. Sometimes it was difficult to follow with all the content in detail. So something is left to train after the course. But I rather have more content than less! Great to know that the material will be left open for us. And I was impressed about the many high-quality final projects my camerades created.

Fast forwarding three months later, I'm able to look at certain systems and analyze them in my head! I'll point things out in reference to my lessons and I'll run to my family when I've learned how to do something like a child showing off a new drawing. The support was immaculate too! Any time I had an issue, I received assistance within a day. If I had to go back in time, I would still choose to enroll!

On the 17th week I was accepted into an internship and it's because of this bootcamp. During the full-time bootcamp it is up to you and how hard you are willing to apply yourself during this time. If you need to recharge, recharge. However, if you have free time, commit it to learning new technologies or improving existing skills. As I write this, I am now familiarizing myself with an entirely new codebase and beginning work with 40 other developers. The curriculum keeps you moving and lays an important foundation for new developers. Also, I would recommend Veronica as an instructor. If you're willing to work hard and you aren't just trying to "get by" - this bootcamp will be great for you.
