I successfully participated in the Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions programme offered by MIT Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) and facilitated by Great Learning, and I consider it one of the most academically rigorous and professionally enriching learning experiences in my data and analytics career.The curriculum is exceptionally well-structured, progressing logically from foundational statistical concepts to advanced machine learning applications. Core topics such as regression and predictive modeling, classification techniques and hypothesis testing, supervised versus unsupervised learning, deep learning architectures, recommendation systems, and ethics in artificial intelligence were delivered with clarity, depth, and strong practical relevance.A major strength of the programme lies in its hands-on, applied learning approach. The use of Python-based implementations, real-world case studies, well-designed projects, and frequent quizzes ensured that theoretical concepts were immediately translated into practical competence. This approach significantly strengthened my ability to design, evaluate, and interpret data-driven solutions in real business and policy contexts.Equally impressive was the emphasis on decision-making, not just model building. I know coding, I am very good at coding and it has shocking to me that suddenly people leaning on AI are better than me. Of course I have to type and they just tell the machine what to do. Dang it!, and what else could we expect? For decades we have been working on making things easy. Easy for the user, easy with new solutions we come up with. Science Fiction movies portrait a future with robots and smart things helping us with our chores. Well, that future is here and we'd better embrace it!

I started with the "No Code AI and Machine Learning" precisely for that, I want to expand my vision and be able to function, as an IT professional in this new AI environment. When I talked to the recruiter, she said that the course was exactly what I was looking for, MIT and Great Learning promised it, and they have been delivering on the promise. I am learning how AI work, first with the Machine Learning technologies (ML) and later with the Unsupervised Learning Neural Networks (NN). You see?, it sounds like Science Fiction, now I understand the phrase "it is learning from experience", when Ultron was getting self-created in the Avengers movie saga. Yes, he did it by means of Neural Networks, what else?   

In all seriousness, The course is comprehensive and has a clear view of the position these technologies have in the industry. I find it very useful for Prediction, Optimization, Risk Management, Medical solutions, Research, Banking, etc.

One more thing: When I registered, I noticed the "No Code" adjetive in the title. At first I noticed some friendly friction in between the coders and no coders, having No-Code tools expands the scope. Think about it, the focus is not your ability to code, the focus is that, as long as you understand your data, you find solutions and are able to deliver. If you do not code, you are still ahead. And if you know coding you can create a solution - using your creativity and the same principles and knowledge learned in the course.

I have recently completed MIT No-code AI with Great learning 12 weeks traing courses. It was wonderful experience.  The courses are designed very practical. Many hands on sessions and wide range  of industrial examples. 3 hands on projects were nessary and helped me to understand the statistics theory and hands on experience. Great Learning teams managed whole training courses very well. Kept us informed. Kept communication lines open with learners. As a medical professional with no formal background in coding, I was initially hesitant about diving into AI. However, this No Code AI course by MIT USA delivered through Great Learning exceeded every expectation. Curriculum:

The curriculum is exceptionally well-balanced—introducing core AI concepts without overwhelming you. The mix of recorded lectures, live sessions, peer discussions, and hands-on projects was instrumental in building my confidence. The real highlight was how the program made AI accessible without writing a single line of code.

Job Assistance:

After completing my master's in Data Science and Engineering, various life circumstances made it difficult for me to immediately apply what I had learned. First of all, I was skeptical about online classes since I have been in college since 1998 and I had been used to take my classes in person. However, covid changed the way we see education and online education boomed in 2020. I decided to wait until 2025 to start taking classes for AI and math and all the beautiful scientific discoveries in IT. I picked this No code for AI since everyone I work with (mostly uppermanagement) is not code savy and I wanted to bring them up to speed with this No code approach. The instructors and mentors are amazingly knowledgeable. The materials are challenging and very well designed. I can say that this is the best online class I have since I took a couple with MIT xPro and there are not as good as this No code for AI class. I have a statistics minor in my Bachelors degree and everything came together with this class and making AI work. I am so blessed of this learning opportunity and the superb materials and knowledgeable experienced staff for this class. Looking forward to potential MIT PE IDDS classes in the future. Read less

My overall experience on this program was awesome - from the video lectures to mentored learning sessions to the hands-on sessions, i could have asked for more. The Program was excellent  from the point of application, through the Program proper and the graduation. The Program Manager was available almost 24 hours, seeking to provide  support, elicit feedback and provide timely reminders for assessment submissions and project.

Embarking on MIT’s Data Science and Machine Learning course, I had high expectations, and they were not only met but exceeded. My primary objective was to expand my knowledge of advanced modeling techniques and refresh my Python skills, and this course delivered on both fronts. As a working professional in analytics with experience in regression models, I gained invaluable insights that enhanced my skillset and gave me a new ‘playbook’ for approaching problems. I’ve been able to immediately apply what I learned to hypertune models I use professionally, optimizing them for accuracy, computational efficiency, and adaptability to evolving business needs.

This program offers a comprehensive overview of data science, delving into statistics, regression, classification, deep learning, and recommendation systems. The curriculum was supplemented with practical Python case studies, which proved invaluable in refreshing my Python skills after years of predominantly using R. The emphasis on real-world applications and the digestible presentation of materials made the course immediately applicable to my work.

Through live coding demonstrations, mentors effectively connected the weekly lessons and assignments, showing students how to move from data exploration to actionable insights. This course required a significant time commitment of over 10 hours per week, in addition to my 60+ hour work week. However, the knowledge and skills I gained were invaluable. My strengthened analytical abilities now enable me to independently design impactful, statistically sound, data-driven solutions that inform executive leadership and shape organizational strategy. If you're looking to enhance your data science expertise and confidently harness the power of data into actionable insights, I highly recommend this course. The skills you'll acquire will not only elevate your analytical abilities but also empower you to improve existing methodologies within your organization, amplifying the impact of your work and likely accelerate your professional growth.

The journey doesn't stop here! I had such a great experience with this program that I'm already planning to enroll in another MIT course to continue building on the strong analytics and data science foundation I've gained from this experience.
