The server can be unstable sometimes which will disconnect the session or automatically log you out when you turn off your computer so a good practice is to submit your work before going on to do other things.

I have been taking DataCamp online courses for R for last 4 months and all the courses are very well strucutred. Every chapter starts from very basics and gradually covers all the topics in-depth. Time flexibility is the biggest advantage of this online platform.

DataCamp is a really nice tool to learn. It's iterative and the way they plan the course feels (to me) like a very smooth progression. The courses are not in depth in details, but they do present the tools and possibilities very well, and make you go through and use of it in different scenarios.
I've done a few courses related to R and I keep coming back for more as they are always adding new interesting courses.
Recently they added some career tracks for R and Python for Developers, Data Scientist and Data Analyst and Quantitative Analyst.
I recommed this tool to anyone that wants to start using R or Python in the data analysis/science world.

I really recommend Data Camp for most of my collegues, because of its pioneering work in teaching data science online in a feasible way. Maybe the greatest about it is the fact courses are completely flexible so that you can handle with your learning schedule the way you want it. In busy weeks I slow my pace at Data Camp without loosing much. It is also very interesting that you doesen't need to have R or R Studio installed in your computer to do the courses exercises. This allows you to keep studying in every platform you have in hand: may it be your cell phone, notebook or a college PC. In a summary, I'm very satisfected with Data Camp and I will continue to support the project even when I finish all the courses I had in mind at the first moment, because there are always new and more specific courses available. I have to congratulate Data Camp developers for their commitment with us (users). If it was a privilege of few students in the past to learn data science, thanks to Data Camp it is becoming easier today to spread learning about state-of-the-art tools and techniques for scientific research.

I find DataCamp's lessons quite useful and easy to learn. The courses are challenging and get you thinking about the possibilities that can be done with Python and R. I have taken one R course and 5 Python courses so far. I will definitely be pursuing more as time allows.

I was able to use Python at my work almost immediately and have been able to manipulate data with codes that I learned from DataCamp. I highly recommend DataCamp to beginners like me. The steps of learning Python and R are quite logical and have a nice progression of knowledge and skill building.

I took the course "Writing Functions in R" at DataCamp. It was pretty good and I was very satisfied with the contents. The teachers were both excelent.

But problems came when I tried to cancel my subscription. First I did it from the account settings and apparently was all right. End of story. But a few months later I unpleseantly found out that my subscription had been automatically reactivated!! I wrote an email to the DataCamp support team. They replied to me arguing that I had been to select the option "Forever" within the "Pause subscription" menu.

So, if you do not select “forever” in that hide option within the account settings–whose existence you could not know beforehand–, your account automatically reactivates. It is definitely a tricky ugly ruse to force the customer to pay. Unbelievable and unaccpetable. Very disappointing.

R is fairly difficult to learn, especially if you don't come from a strong statistics/programming background. Through taking all of their classes, you can go from a beginner to competent, but the path won't be easy.

The DataCamp interface is very glitchy - there are quite a few answers that I thought were right, couldn't solve, and after seeing what the actual answer was, still don't see any difference whatsoever. Additionally, if you run into any problems and e-mail the DataCamp team, they probably won't bother responding - I've sent multiple e-mails and followed up each time, never got a reply. They also sometimes ask you to use functions and knowledge they haven't taught you, and their built-in hints are sometimes useless.

In short, this is a very good resource to go from beginner to adequate with R. Just don't expect the road to be easy, and don't expect to have your hand held at all.

 I recently started using DataCamp as part of a scholarship program, and so far, my experience has been positive. The platform is well-structured, especially for beginners who are just getting into data analysis and programming. 
The lessons are broken down into short, interactive segments, which makes it easier to stay engaged. I also like that you can practice immediately after learning a concept instead of just watching videos passively. 
One thing I noticed is that some topics can feel a bit confusing at first, especially if you’re completely new to programming. However, with consistency and practice, it starts to make more sense over time.Another advantage is that it doesn’t consume too much data compared to other learning platforms, which is helpful for students.Overall, I think DataCamp is a solid platform for building foundational skills in Python and data analysis. I have had a few weeks of experience using the DataCamp platform, following a scholarship award from Data Community Africa. It has been a good interactive session. I previously had tried learning data science in diffeerent platforms- linked in learning, youtube, and all had the same problems- I didnt feel like I was having a good and nice flow of concepts right from the beginners guide to the intermediate and to the advanced levels. Before enrolling in Le Wagon, I had heard glowing reviews about the school's training programs from numerous sources. However, it wasn't until I actually joined that I truly understood why it was so highly regarded. The curriculum is meticulously designed, with a perfect balance between theory and practical application, allowing students to grasp complex concepts in a relatively short span of 9 weeks.

What struck me the most was the intensity of the program. Each day was packed with lectures, coding exercises, and collaborative projects, leaving little time for leisure. Yet, it was this very intensity that pushed me to learn and grow at an accelerated pace. The challenges presented during the course forced me to stretch my limits, testing my problem-solving skills .
