Surprisingly thurough

I chose Nucamp because it seems to be a good value for its price. The price is very reasonable compared to many other bootcamps. I was afraid that I wouldn't learn enough material in the given amount of time for each section of the Web Dev Fundamentals course. Each section is short, but it forces you to build bridges and fill in gaps with outside learning. I really enjoyed my course. And I feel like it's a solid choice for anyone who has time/budget constraints. If you're willing to do the extra work on your own, then it is a good fit.

Review

I had a very basic understanding of simple HMTL concepts before this course, and not much knowledge outside of that. After this course I can code, style, package, and deploy my own website using the fundamental knowledge I gained. Highly recommended

How I got here.

I started building basic websites using gohighlevel and started to wonder how it was actually build on the backend and how to write html, css, etc. so I started with freecodecamp. Then started digging deeper into actual courses when I stumbled upon Nucamp. I asked a couple of friends who were in the tech/coding industry and they said that Nucamp would be a good option and with that I decided to enroll. I am very happy I did and I have already learned sooo much! My goal is to continue on so I can learn how to build an app.

Nucamp Review

"Nucamp is a great choice if you want to learn web development. The lessons are easy to follow, and you get to work on real projects right from the start. I found the flexible schedule super helpful, especially if you’re working or have a busy life. The instructors and classmates are really supportive, which makes learning a lot easier. Overall, it’s a bootcamp that cares about helping you succeed."

Through NuCamp i was able to see the potential i have for my future!

I was offered a scholarship for NuCamp and thought it sounded like an amazing opportunity to find a new career in coding. I just finished Web Development Fundamentals and it was better than i could ever have imagine. Not only have I've learned so much about coding, but I have also learned a lot about myself and the possibilities i have for my future.

Simple and highly effective

This camp solidifed my once hazy understanding of front end. Through the exercises and live workshops i was able to really put all the pieces together. Can't wait to put this skill to good use and make some money from it. Thank you Nucamp family <3

Nucamp = Awesome

Learned a lot more in 4 weeks than I could have imagined! Had Phil H as an instructor and he always knew how to get us to understand any topic we couldn’t get ourselves which was extremely helpful. Thank you Nucamp!

Exciting, Informativative and Transformative

NuCamp is a great bootcamp it cheaper and very accessible to anyone. It doesnt discriminate and one of the few bootcamps ive seen where you didn't have to know much code to begin with. I need a lil more experience but i would love to work for someone and also start a coding freelance

Excellent instructors and network of students and professionals.

I am an IT professional in with minimal coding experience.  My goal is to transition to becoming a Software Engineer.  I have learned a lot in this web fundamentals course and looking forward to continuing my learning with Nucamp.  The content taught in this course is a great value but the thing that I think is the most valuable is the connection with the other students and instructors.  Networking is crucial and Nucamp provides you with a great foundation of networking.

Web Dev Fundamental Graduate

I always wanted to learn code since I was getting into college and after.  Just different career opportunities came along the way and I never got to it.  I saw Nucamp when reserching Bootcamp's.  Nucamp had really good reviews and also worked really well with my schedule as I have a full time job and a Family with 2 little ones.  Even at that, I wondered if I could pull the trigger on it financially and mentally.  After speaking with a counselor or recruiter, they eased my mind and Nucamp's payment otpions really are great and make it afforable witht he loan options. Going throw the first step which was Web Development Fundamental(4 week course) was challenging since I really didn't know much about code.  But, the videos, curricuelum  and instructior we had really made it easier to learn from square one to the end. That being said, I still have a ton to learn and coding is no joke.  There is a lot to it and I know I just scratched the surface with the Web-Dev 4 week course.  I highly recommend doing this course if you have no experience in coding.  It really lays the foundation down which is html.  You need to know that before you go into anything else. I'm going to the Full stack next in about 3 weeks.  I fully believe I will go through the Web-Dev fundamental curriculum again to get as much practice as possible before the Full Stack starts. What do I aspire to achieve after the Bootcamps.. the path in the coding industry is still a little unclear but I love sports and I love golf nowadays.  So It would be great to get into a company such as Taylormade, Cobra, Callaway, etc.. in there web design branch.  That would be the dream.  I also I know that the tech industry is not going anywhere and really any path I can get my foot into will be a sustainable job and I can branch with more experience once I get my foot in the door.  I look forward to the next step in the Full Stack and can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

Affordable, Flexible, not great if you need your hand held

I chose NuCamp because it was by far the cheapest & most flexible program available. However, that does come with some downsides. I have only taken the Web Fundamentals course thus far, and cannot speak to the front-end or back-end sections. I found the first two weeks of curriculum to be very well put together and scaffold understanding in an effective manner. However, me and my classmates became more frustrated near the end of the course, as the materials were clearly becoming less thorough and often assumed we understood certain concepts that we had not yet learned. The course probably could have been a little bit longer to give more time with Bootstrap and deployment, but ultimately it felt that the curriculum just tapered off - many videos were absent and there were issues with following the code in the video vs written instructions that caused quite a bit of grief for me and my classmates. Our instructor was indeed helpful, but did not have the ability to answer all of our questions or help diagnose issues due to the limited meeting time. Ultimately, this is the type of camp that is great for the self-learner, but I would not recommend it if you are not already fairly comfortable with technology or don't know how to find answers for yourself. Not a good course if you need your hand held, but a good investment so far otherwise.

Excellent Web Development Bootcamp

I really enjoyed the Web Development Fundamentals class.  I have past experience in development but was out of the game for nearly a decade.  I took this course as a refresher and to catch up on changes within the industry.  The class really helped me get back into development.  The exercises are self-paced and give you an opportunity to practice what you're learning.  The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful and are very willing to answer any and all questions whether in the weekly class or during the week on Discord.  I highly recommend this class for both newbies and people with some experience.

Completely Satisfied!

Nucamp is the perfect comination of self-paced study during the week and live workshop on the weekend. The Web Development Fundamentals course gave me the skills, and confidence, to build and deploy a webiste on my own. That is something I have been interested in for years, but never would have accomplished on my own. I will definitely recommend to others!

Worth Every Penny

I have now completed the Web Fundamentals course. I am looking for a career change and that is what led me to NuCamp. I would say that this was a great experience.  Along the way, the instructor took the time to explain things clearly, and to help us think of the way we should be searching when we do have a question. The topic covered were delivered in easily digested section as to not overwhelm.I hope to continue on with the other selection of courses to become a full stack developer. I also want to revisit some of the purchased online courses now that I have a better understanding of the basics.

Worth the time and money

I was attracted to the program because it is financially attainable, and possible for those with busy schedules to complete. I have a full tiem job and two little girls, so flexibility with scheduling is important for me. I liked the course, although I wish the JavaScript section was longer. We did a lot in just two weeks. I believe nuCamp has changed the fundamentals course so accomodate this request from many students.

Nucamp - Good first impression

I chose the Nucamp fundamentals bootcamp. It provides a structured way to learn with instructor support, additional resources, and a weekly live session.  I learned the essential things I needed to learn at a price that was cost effective.  I plan on learning more with Nucamp (their full stack & mobile) and would recommend them anyone looking for more learning structure than being self taught but also looking for a more economical way to do it.

NuCamp Web Development

I have been out of school for over two decades and in the service industry. Looking for ways to change my career were all 5+ years of school and 30-80k in funds. Some wanted 20% of my salary after I got a job in the field. NuCamp to end up with the same certificates, and what we want is a foot in the door, costs 6k with all the bells and whistles. I feel that there is a community that will help me with whatever my needs in the future and in 6 months will have the same if not better hold of the job field when I am finished from instructors that are actively working currently and sharing this knowledge.

Good Experience Overall

I joined the Web Dev course because: 1) I wanted to learn how to code on a flexible schedule while still working, 2) I wanted to have live instruction/workshops, and 3) I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I did have some previous knowledge of HTML/CSS before joining, but as someone who didn't have much experience in Javascript, it got pretty intense for me during Week 3-4. I think this course gives you a good "feel" into coding and that it's OK to use resources to deepen your knowledge. I appreciated the career advice too. The video recorded lessons were kinda bland and monotone -- so my hope is that they make these more engaging in the future. Overall, it's a great value for the price. I learned a lot and plan to hone in on my JS skills before I enroll in the next Full Stack bootcamp.

Nucamp web development

I ultimately chose to enroll in Nucamp due to the affordability of it. I’ve signed up for the complete Software Engineering Bootcamp path, so it’s hard to give it a thorough sense of "was this the right decision," but it seems good so far.I didn’t understand that Nucamp is part time learning. It did take time to go through the video lessons and code challenges, but the workshops meet only once a week. For me it feels like there’s a lot of "waiting for more." Had I realized, I probably would have opted for something faster, as I currently have the time and energy to focus on learning. Having made the choice, I’m going to see where this goes. The instructor for my class was experienced in the field, and was, in my opinion, an effective and patient teacher. I know I would take a class with him again if given the opportunity. The WebDev course, which I finished, followed a very logical order, starting with the introduction of HTML and Visual Studio Code. After that, CSS, and then an introduction to JavaScript. I came to the course with some knowledge of JavaScript already, which made it more about "finding the challenge" rather than the curriculum itself being the challenge. It also helped me find my big gap in JavaScript (DOM manipulation). After the course, I feel distinctly more confident in my trajectory and ability with regard to changing careers.
