UX/UI Design Foundations

I recently completed the UX/UI Design Foundations course with Avocademy and it was a great career change experience! With unlimited mentorship and flexibility, Avocademy offers the basics of UX/UI design to work on your first foundations project! The best part is definitely the mentorship! Many boot camps don't provide feedback or mentorship and Avocademy does just that! Mentor reviews are definitely needed for any boot camp! Job is not guaranteed but they do offer a Career Jumpstart program post foundations! 

I came into the foundation program not knowing a thing, but with the help of the mentors and other staff I've gain a lot of knowledge that I feel can help me with the  next steps. I honestly recommend anyone who is interested in a UI/UX bootcamp to apply for this, with many other bootcamps avocademy is not only tremendously cheaper but very well structured. Thank you again avocademy for the such an amazing bootcamp experience.

This bootcamp has been the most straightforward way for me to understand UX and UI Design by far! I have tried to learn through the Google certification before this, but it lacked the mentorship that I got with Avocademy. Having constant feedback was a game-changer for helping me piece together the information I did not understand before. Plus everyone on the team is very understanding and beyond helpful with the feedback.  They have a great number of valuable resources, such as the Master Classes. I would recommend anyone wanting to break into the UX field take this course immediately! Seriously, you will thank yourself later.

The Avocademy UX/UI Foundations course was very informative and helpful in understanding the skills needed to become a UX/UI designer. The course is well-paced and contains great sources for students to learn more about the field. 

This foundations program gives you all the tools and information needed to succeed in ux! From the unlimited mentorship to the resources provided in the courses, this program is really well designed and put together. The mentors are extremely helpful and care about your needs/questions. Avocademy also takes students feedback seriously which I really appreciate. I’m so glad I decided to invest in this course!

Throughout my experience doing UX foundations through Avocademy, I felt very supported by all of the mentors. I was expecting it to be like my online university courses I've taken by it was so much more helpful and supportive than any of my actual college courses were when they were online. Prior to this course I have 0 design experience. I feel as though this whole course was extremely eye-opening and I feel more prepared to continue my journey as a UX designer!

I recently completed my UX/UI Design Foundation course at Avocademy. I want to share my great experience with anyone interested in furthering their career in this field. First of all, it is affordable. Secondly, I loved the hands-on and self-pacing learning experience. The course material is well-selected, and mentors are always there to give us timely and valuable feedback. While gaining UX design knowledge, I improved my time management and self-discipline skills tremendously. Overall, Avocademy provided me with the best tool to pursue my passion for UX/UI and well-prepared me to take on future UX/UI design challenges.

I recently finished Avocademy's UX/UI Foundations Design bootcamp, and I have to say it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The program was really comprehensive, challenging in a good way, and engaging. What I really liked about Avocademy was how easy it was to navigate through the courses and how structured each module was. They had a ton of projects and exercises throughout the course. For some of the modules, there was a lot of reading which made some assigmenets feel super long but if you can get past that, the rest of the program, especially the UI Design modules and assignments were more fun and exciting in my opinion. One of the things that helped me the most in this program was being able to have 1 on 1 sessions with the amazing mentors of Avocademy. I got a lot of valuable feedback and advice which helped me optimize my design solutions and refine my aesthetic as a UX Designer.All in all, I'd definitely recommend Avocademy to anyone looking for a career change into UX/UI Design. 

I come from a background in psychology and education. After discovering UX, I felt like I finally found the career path that was meant for me. I then began to research boot camps. After some (read: A LOT) of contemplation, I decided to go with Avocademy, and I am SO glad that I did. Avocademy appeals to all learning styles by providing information in a variety of ways, from textual information and videos to hands-on projects. There is also unlimited mentorship that you can utilize throughout both the Foundations course and Career Jumpstart. I am currently in the Career Jumpstart program, and I am super excited to get started on real client projects and start building my portfolio. If you are serious about transitioning and changing your life, then do not hesitate to give Avocademy a try!

I've had a great experience with Avocademy so far and I think its a great value for money. I completed the foundations course in December and I really struggled to stay on task because of outside work and complications in my personal life and I really appreciated the way they continued to reach out and work with me on a timeline to make sure I got through the material. The course is full of great information and resources but my favorite thing has been the quality mentor feedback and the access to mentorship in general. The slack channel has also been very helpful and adds to a sense of community which is really great for an online course. Would definitely recommend this course!

I completed Foundations last month and have recently begun CJ. My time and experience thus far with Avocademy has been incredible. The program is structured in a way that truly cultivates success. I have loved every moment and have the utmost confidence that Avocademy was the right choice in helping me reach my goals. 

I would 100% recommend the Foundations course at Avocademy to learn essential skills needed to work in the UX/UI field. The price is reasonable and the mentor guidance provided was essential. I also liked the flexibility to work around my schedule, allowing me to work and take care of my family's needs.

The bootcamp was great. I really enjoyed how the price point was good and that I learned pretty quickly the ins and outs of design. Also, it being self-paced allowed me to work when convenient. Learning by doing is much more practical than sitting in some lecture for hours anyway. I'm doing Jumpstart as of this review but that has been good so far as well. The only complaint I have is though the mentors were great and incredibly helpful, it was at times very frustrating getting your work reviewed by a different mentor each iteration. I had one person tell me to put one thing only to have the next person not even bother to look at what the other person before me said on my rubric leading to lots of confusion. I felt like there was no standardization when it came to reviewing work at times. Each mentor wanted something different at times and understandably so but I feel like there should be some checklist instead of it feeling like one person giving totally different advice than someone else before. Other than that, I do very much recommend this bootcampq as the pipeline goes from no experience to having a job in half a years time, which isn't bad.

If you guys are thinking about taking up a UX/UI Bootcamp, then I highly recommend Avocademy! I literally came from a different background and had no design experience whatsoever, but Avocademy helped me pick up all the needed skills to get started. They make everything so easy to understand! Not only that, they go above and beyond to help the students out. The only regret I have is not taking this bootcamp sooner lol

Although I had limited knowledge of UX/UI at the outset, the course challenged me to push myself and provided validation as I completed each module. Overall, I highly recommend Avocademy's UX/UI Bootcamp to anyone looking to jumpstart their career in this field. I'm excited to continue my journey with Avocademy's Career Jumpstart program!

Starting Avocademy was an incredible decision when it came  to transitioning into the UX/UI field. You have the ongoing support to help get you through the program. Foundations is thorough and explains the fundamentals of UX/UI design. You get to work on your own project which you can add to your portfolio. I loved it so much, I am currently enrolled in their Career Jumpstart program. Maca, the creator of Avocademy, is very knowledgeable in what she does, and is great support, as well as her mentors. I was lucky enough to work with her on one of the projects and it was truly a great experience. I don’t think any other program compares to the authentic, supportive engagement and intuitive education that Avocademy brings to the table. 

I had the most amazing experience with Avocademy learning everything I needed to become a UX/UI Designer! The Avocademy Foundations Course is by far the most comprehensive, affordable, learning friendly, and support provided program available. The course was extremely fun, informative, and well put together. All of the lessons and activities built upon the next, making learning easy and fun. Through out the entire course, you have a huge amount of support from the team. Everyone was friendly and always eager to help you with anything. I would definitely recommend this course (and already have) to anyone interested in becoming a UX/UI Designer. I would also recommend joining the Career Jumpstart Program to gain the experience you need to launch your career and all other courses they offer now or in the future! Thanks Avocademy!^^

This was a great bootcamp and I could not be happier with the result. I was way too exhausted physically and mentally from my job to be able to learn UX design on my own and it was incredibly helpful to have a curriculum laid out for me to follow. It was also great that everything I learned was directly applicable to real world scenarios and there was no fluff material. There were, however, many links to articles and resources with additional infromation and topics to learn if you were interested.

This is a terrific program. For the cost, the value might be the best out there. I was able to schedule unlimited mentor calls and could reach out for feedback at any point during the bootcamp. There is also a great community, which is super helpful for networking and not feeling alone in the process.In terms of the curriculum, I feel like I had a solid understanding of the general UX process after the program concluded. I feel much more confident understanding the research process and using tools like Figma.
