Professional Diploma in UX Design (structured)

The content has been exactly what I expected and I was not disappointed. They go out of their way to make this as simple as possible. The team has been very responsive when asking questions on the Slack channel. When I contacted the team due to a family crisis they were completely sympathetic and agreed to pause my course time limit while I sorted my family life out. In a time of absolute chaos for me, the UXDI team was really understanding. They allowed me to start the clock where I let off. I am truly grateful. They'll never understand how helpful that was to know I could focus on my family. The course content was great from start to finish. When I had questions they were great on Slack ready to jump into your figma file to see if they could sort out a specific thing I was trying to do. I would recommend this course over and over again. Glad I chose UXDI. 

I completed the UXDI Immersive course, and definitely feel good having it under my belt. GA is a great place to go if you're looking for a career shift. Good course, well structured. Since I didn't come from a design background, the course took me slightly longer than the 6month suggested timetable, but you have course access for 1 year so this was plenty of time. The course work gives a solid base for your portfolio, which is helpful. All tutors/staff were helpful when I reached out to them

I was looking to enroll in a UX course that has substance but didn't want to go back to college or university due to the rigid schedules (I've got a full time job & 2 young kids). When I found this course, I got really excited because it lead to a tangible accreditation and allowed me to go at my own pace. It was challenging but incredibly interesting and relevant. I'm really glad I did it. Just to give some context: My background is in UI design and front-end development, therefore I was already familiar with some of the concepts introduced in the lectures but it gave me the tools to back my design decisions. There was also A LOT I didn't know and I was able to apply this newly learned UX knowledge immediately during my day job. I can say with assurance that the course's content is relevant and useful.  Pros:- Diploma & university credits upon completion.- Flexible schedule (6-12 months).- 11 assignments (3 of which are optional) to apply learned  knowledge and validate your understanding.- They host many monthly webinars during which you can get feedback on your assignments before submitting and see what other people's assignments are like. This is helpful to see what type of project and quality is expected.- The course is divided in 4 blocks (Research, Analysis, Concept & Design) and follows the same sequence as a real-life UX project. - You have access to Slack channels where you can ask questions, reach out to other students in your cohort, or just look at what UX topics people are talking about. It made me feel a bit more connected.- If you've been inactive too long, they send you automated reminder emails but without being annoying. I loved that because it kept me in track when a 1 week break turned into 3 :) - They host webinars with UX professionals in the field and you can ask questions.- They have a lecture and webinar on how to prepare your portfolio. Cons:- I found the "mentors" on slack to be... not great. It really depends who you talk to. I reached out only once and felt like I was shut down, asking me to instead submit my work for review during a webinar.- Webinars can be helpful before you start working on your own assignment, but I found that the quality of the feedback given really depends on the mentor hosting. I kept hoping for Faolan every webinar because he makes project requirements very clear. No room for interpretation. - I wish they had been clearer on what the free version of Figma can/cannot do and shared examples of mid-fidelity prototypes as part of the lecture. I would've spent a lot less time trying to figure out how to create the level of interactivity I wanted within Figma. Mind you, I already had experience building interactive prototypes using UXPin...- The only area where I feel I am lacking now is how to conduct unbiased interview or usability tests. It can be challenging to ask the right questions after a response to get to the core values or to recover from mistakes (leading questions). I wish they had provided more guidance on this and links to examples of good interviews.

I’ve enrolled for a UX design course in Brain Station, while my English language is not so good but I learned lots of great information, their teaching methods and great instructors, wowww now I am a UX designer…

This is an solid course. I chose it mainly because it's university accredited and didn't have that ' bootcamp'-vibe. The course material is good, the lecturers nice to listen to. For me the 6 month schedule did not work so well, because I juggle a fulltime job and a family, but in the end I did graduate. Be prepared to dedicate longer stretches of focused time for the practical part. Personally, I do not think this course prepared me well enough for my current design job - then again, I did not expect it to. Working with designers a lot, I more or less knew what the job was about. I will be honest: although I am lucky enough to be an in-house trainee, still it will take another 6 months till I potentially could reach the junior level my company holds as a requirement for even hiring someone. The UI/visual design part, being able to sketch, wireframe and prototype (using a design system) often, on the spot, and fast, is what you do not learn doing just 1 case study. Also I will really have to skill up on the research and testing part. Another skill that is essential is to present and defend design choices ' en public' to stakeholders - and to gather the feedback and iterate. This, I would say, is one of the most important parts of the job! The theory about this is mentioned in the course but this is sth. you need to practice. All in all, a good foundation. 

Overall I thought the diploma was great as it covers a solid foundation for someone to have an understanding of the end-to-end process of UX design. It teaches a lot of great UX principles and design patterns which can be carried over to your professional career. 

This was an excellent course, I knew absolutely nothing about the subject to begin with, but an old college friend was changing career and he had applied. And I heard that UX is a growth area right now, with great pay and the ability to work independently; this is important to me. The team at the UX Design Institute were everything that good User Experience is about. They were helpful, but firm in keeping students on track. They were polite and respectful, and also empathic. My elderly father died towards the end of the course, and the Institute was extremely empathic and supportive. I completed the course with a small extension, so I felt supported, looked after, and empowered to finish the course. I’m really thrilled to finally be a certified UX Professional. It was a steep learning curve at times, there was a lot of project work where I wasn’t sure what the projects could contribute to designing interfaces, as I knew nothing about UX before I took the course. In the end, it became clear what all the research was for. I’d say to prospective students, keep steaming through the process of projects; it will all make sense in the end. 

I was enthusistic throughout the full course. It handles a broad variety of topics, going deep enough into each, but not so deep that it gets boring. There are leads to help you further- literature to l learn more, videos to learn about professionals in the field, how to set up tour portfolio. The video lessons are very clear and motivating. The home work helps to really understand the process. It’s very nice that you can make up your own time schedule and work remote. It is at the same time the only draw back: I never met or spoke to any person during the course and that makes me feel a little alone.

I successfully completed the Professional Diploma in UX Design. All course materials are of an exceptionally high standard, well designed, and easy to understand, this has got to be one of the best UX design online courses on the market, taking you through the entire UX process, lots of webinars, and online material produced by the experts in the field. The structured programme is flexible, and you can work at your own pace, it can be completed in 6-12months. This course far surpassed all my expectations, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This course has truly been amazing. The course structure and support available have been perfect. Coming with no UX background/knowledge, I was uncertain how easy I would find the course. Can honestly say that the material is created in a way that is comprehensive to anyone. All you need is an interest in UX. It also gave me the opportunity to create an awesome portfolio! 

This course delivers the essentials of UX Design, helps to broaden your network in UX community and get a professional Portfolio.I really enjoyed learning especially working on projects using professional methods and tools. You get also to work independently with the possibility to get quick feedback from students, teachers and professionals. There are a lot of webinars giving opportunities to share and learn from others. Very instructive!

Really enjoyable course, that covers the breadth of the UX role - from the fundamentals of UX, to research, analysing research, design and prototyping and all the steps in-between. Gives a good understanding of terminology and process and I especially enjoyed the coursework assignments. This online course meant I could learn at my own pace and fit around my full-time job and it's great to get a University accredited Diploma upon completion. There is an excellent online community and supportive and knowledgeable tutors.

I found this course extremely informative. I was able to gain so many new skills within just 2 months! They break down the entire process, so you feel confident in applying all the steps to build your idea prototype. 

great course. You go through the videos and and work on your own project. You also have an opportunity to get online feedback from mentors, community on Slack or during an online meetup. I wish there was more online mentoring one-on-one. The problem is that the feedback during the meetup is onsided, you can only hear the teacher

So far it’s been great learning content about UX design, I just hope that once I get to the job search in this industry, it’s worth the efforts! Instructors and mentors have been great as well, very detailed feedback.

UX Design Institute is excellent for studying user experience design. I recently completed the Professional Diploma in UX Design, and it was a fantastic experience. I can only recommend the program, the content, and the way it is structured and conveyed. Plenty of resources offered by the UX Design Institute help you get an interdisciplinary approach to UX Design and learn the essential UX tools and techniques necessary for practicing UX professionally. The course content and the way it is taught are amazing. All aspects of the job of UX designers are covered and treated from a variety of perspectives. The assignments are challenging as is the final exam, but this is standard in good education, so it is absolutely necessary to get a professional diploma. The assignments were all very helpful and engaging, offering deep insights in UX theory and practice.There is also a great flexibility in learning, which is very important, though related to greater responsibility from your side because you have to organize your learning process and assignment delivery schedule. However, the UX Design Institute offers instant guidance and support if you need help with anything. They are very friendly and caring with all students and graduates, helping with valuable career insights, practical advice, and portfolio prep sessions. The UX Design Institute's Slack channel also provides additional possibilities to communicate, share and discuss your work, professional challenges, or UX UI topics with other students and academics. I would definitely only recommend the UX Design Institute to anyone planning a professional career in UX Design, it is a great choice! 

My time at Springboard was highly valuable and worthwhile. While working independently on my capstone project, I learned the fundamentals of UX design, and worked towards building a solid foundation for a career in the field. The IDP project at the end challenged my skills in a group project environment, and provided real world experience with a startup company, Dartle. This work fed into the development of my portfolio, which was further strengthened by rigorous reviews and evaluations by Springboard staff.
