Professional Diploma in UX Design (structured)

I graduated with the UX Design institute earlier this year and have to say I was super-impressed with the whole package. Initially I was not sure if this would provide me with the value I needed, and was cautious about investing in the course, especially as it was a fair amount of money to spend.I have to say though, that the course was very high quality. The modules covered all areas of the UX Design process, included engaging video modules, blogs, articles and lots of references to external content and publications.Many modules included hands-on projects, which really did cement the learning and give you brilliant content for your portfolio.The team are always on hand to answer any questions and are very responsive too.The course really has strengthened my UX design skills hugely and increased my confidence in what I can deliver for my clients.I've gained several projects already due to this.Gold star from me!

As a seasoned designer and developer without much formal education, I wanted to strengthen my skills in UX process and methods. While I found the research and analysis modules especially rewarding, I was also greatly inspired by everything I learned throughout the course. The modules encompass many aspects of our jobs as designers and researchers, creating a solid knowledge base and practical skills for becoming better at what we do and understanding how everything interconnects.I'd also like to highlight the recurring webinars for each content block. Watching experts demonstrate and review real-world examples was affirming and inspiring when I was uncertain about solving tasks. This support, combined with the student success team's availability for questions and the collaborative Slack community of fellow students sharing progress, was incredibly valuable for my success.I've already applied much of the theory and practical skills I learned from this course in my job, and I frequently reference my notes and project portfolio.Warmly recommended.

An exciting adventure into the world of UX! The first thing I enjoyed was the structure of the training and what the design process consists of! These guys definitely know their stuff!Secondly, a bunch of examples: from usability test scenarios, and key points of communication with stakeholders to how to make friends with AIThirdly, valuable feedback on webinars and the opportunity to work in a team, creating an Affinity MapIn fact, I could talk about it nonstop for half a year while this training lasted! I advise everyone who wants to pursue UX design. It is multi-layered, but with the UX Design Institute, it is exciting!

I really enjoyed the course, well structured and accessible for full time workers. Ux is really great to study and this course will make it a passion. Lot of material and sources provided, plus much help and support from the team. 100% would take it again. I am considering applying for the UI course now

As someone with no prior knowledge of UX Design, I greatly appreciated the structured, at-your-own pace learning style provided by the UX Design Institute. The curriculum and provided course materials were more than enough for me to learn the new UX-related concepts in-depth without feeling overwhelmed. Despite being fully online and hosted in a different country/time zone, I felt fully supported by their team of advisors through the dedicated Slack channel. The extra modules on interviewing and portfolio prep and the opportunity to join a monthly alumni program that connects me with potential hiring managers are the cherry on top of a wonderful learning experience. I will be taking additional courses from the UX Design Institute in the future.

My expectations were high and were exceeded. The high-quality teaching along the UX design process with hands-on project work was excellent. The direct student support from Kerry-Ann was extraordinary - quick reactions, useful assistance and precise feedback on projects. The volume of further literature to delve deeper into individual UX topics and tools for everyday work is worth its weight in gold. I am looking forward to applying the knowledge I have acquired to create a stronger business impact in my current role as a user researcher.

My overall experience with the UX Design Institute was very positive. I enjoyed the process, and I find the curriculum very helpful. Mentors gave me the feedback I wanted and their expertise is evident. Whenever I felt like I didn't understand something or was feeling lost, the student support team was always there to answer my questions. Last but not least, the post-course support regarding portfolio and career advice is a huge help I feel like I can start the UX journey independently.

 It’s been an amazing experience! The way they teach makes everything easy to understand, and there’s lots of practice to really help things stick. The support team is super helpful and always there when you need them. The webinars are really interesting, with experts sharing real-world tips and advice. I’ve learned a ton of new skills and how to use cool design tools. Overall, it’s been a great journey, and I feel a lot more confident in my UX design skills now!

Over exceeded my expectations and very helpful with every question. The student support is totally reliable and committed to helping. I work full time so I needed support when possible and each time they responded within the hour or even less. They also knew what the other colleagues had said previously so there is a chain of information. I like that very much. 

You live the theory you learn by doing a lot of practical projects. Platform requires improvement,  communication from studen  success team should improve in owning errors instead of hiding them. Would be convenient if also written material would be provided thar can be used as guidance at work.

I found the course to be a great introduction to UX Design. The structure was great and all information provided was relevant and interesting. The sessions hosted by professionals in the industry was fantastic and we received great feedback to further improve our course work. Would highly recommend!

A few years ago I happened to be scrolling the web in search of a course that would boost my knowledge in UX design and act as a gateway into the industry. UXDI fell into my lap and from the moment I made initial contact to the sign off of course completion I had unparalleled support, not just tutoring but personal support when things got tough. I could honestly stand up and say this has been the most educationally beneficial journey of my whole life and has helped me not just with landing my dream job but with achieving a higher level of confidence within myself. There is no replacement for this course, if you want to get into UX Design then this is a must!

This course was amazing and delivered on all its promises. Some of the highlights for me were:- The curriculum is well-structured, paced and succinctly delivered by UX Design Institute founder and CEO Colman Walsh.- The course mentors were always available within the hour to answer questions, give helpful feedback and encouragement on my project submissions throughout the duration of the course.- Finally, the UX Design Institute support network is very helpful and friendly. It was here that I came across the insightful “UX Insiders” webinar series that gave me a very in depth look at how design professionals have broken into and brought their strengths to the realm of UX design.Having this certificate on my resume has already started opening doors to new work opportunities and I can't wait to start putting these skills into action in the future 💖

The Pros:

The course is very well laid out and modules are easy to follow. The way it's taught online is better than anything else I've done in the past.
They have regular sessions with professionals to go over your coursework and answer your questions.
They hold 'insider' talks so you can hear stories from people in the business from all different types of companies and backgrounds.
You can talk to their careers guidance expert who'll give you really great feedback in terms of your work and how to land your first UX design or related job etc.
They're a recognised institution and the certification will be taken seriously.
You can work full time and do this course easily if you're disciplined.

The Cons:

If you don't have a related background (Tech/IT/Design/Marketing) and apply for jobs with only your single UXDI case study to show, it'll be VERY hard to get a job. Luckily I do have the background and it's the main reason I'm getting replies to be very honest.
UXDI do make it sound like you'll get a job straight away, you won't, well it depends on how seriously you take the course and how proactive you are, but don't expect a job to be just handed to you.
You only get feedback if you ask, you need to be very proactive to do well and to receive help.
It is expensive for something you can learn in your own time for free but you do get a cert and if you need the pressure of deadlines and someone grading you then I guess this isn't a con.

Overall:
Really worth it if you have the time to put in and are passionate about this line of work. Do expect it to be difficult to land your first job but be patient and it'll all work out in the end.

Easily digestible materials that are explained well. The seminars were a lifesaver. I've already been offered a job in an adjacent field and I fully believe this course was a big reason why.

In my experience, this has been one of the greatest online courses I've ever taken. It equipped me with a valuable set of new skills. The entire team is incredibly talented and professional in their work. I highly recommend the UX Design Institute.

I enrolled in the Professional Diploma course to specialize in UX, having a rough understanding of some concepts. Despite a difficult and delayed start for personal reasons, I was able to quickly catch up on the program later at my own cadence and successfully completed the course at a quicker pace. The videos are captivating and really easy to follow and remember. A ton of day-to-day examples help understand the concepts developed in the videos. The project work is straight forward, although quite intense when you try to do it seriously. Don't underestimate the time it will take, but it's definitely great learning! I was self-sufficient working with the project instructions and the webinars (both are needed), I rarely needed assistance. It was great to have access to the session replays, as the timing wasn't always compatible with family schedules. I was very hesitant to enroll on a fully online course, but the UX Design Institute made it really easy and smooth! My take-away is that I love this discipline and I highly recommend this course!
