Professional Diploma in UX Design (structured)

From start to finish, the course provides an excellent foundation to understand exactly what UX Design is about and your role as a UX Designer. The theory, techniques, background reading and projects lets you understand exactly what is expected of you in the working world. The student support team is beyond brilliant. The feedback provided grows with the difficulty of each project and by my final project, I was given extremely patient and in-depth guidance that made me understand how I could improve my final project and how much the details do matter. And they matter a LOT. If you're working full time and worried about how you can juggle this course, I tackled it while working full time and had to take the year track. They are very patient, do not judge you on your pace and answer all questions with a kindness that any stressed-out student will really appreciate. My only thoughts on improvement would be having a little more detail on the minor research techniques. The main one (usability testing) was covered in exceptional detail but I believe a few practical projects (even not mandatory) in the others might help improve confidence when applying for jobs (as I do see them listed as a criteria). Overall, very happy with my experience and as soon as the budget allows, I intend to sign up for their other courses!

The institute's constructive feedback has been invaluable, fostering a growth-oriented learning environment.Completing the certificate took me 11 months, a timeframe that speaks to the flexibility of the school. Balancing this program with other offline certifications was made possible by the accommodating nature of the curriculum and the support of the facility. Their prompt and precise responses to emails showcase a commitment to student success. I really enjoyed the UXDI Diploma, and feel like I have learned a lot as a graphic designer looking to expand my career and knowledge to UX design. This is a really good course if you are self-sufficient and don't mind being left to your own devices. The curriculum is thorough and takes you through the design process step by step, which is a really useful way to learn the different parts of UX design. The exam was a super helpful way to memorise and learn the terminology and key principles. I have already taken a lot of the knowledge into my job as a graphic designer. The main snag with the course for me was that some of the project guidance felt quite vague, and you don't get much beyond the project PDF and a video to explain it. They didn't make it too clear how closely to follow the examples in the research/analysis briefs. This may not be so accessible for people who are neurodivergent. They do have live chat support, and going to the webinars for feedback was really useful, but I think it would be better for the briefs to be more accessible up front, or to provide specialised support for those with ADHD, autism e.t.cI chose to do the desktop path rather than the mobile path, and I found that the examples for the design projects were all very mobile specific, so I had to work out quite a bit for myself during the design stages. I think they would do well to include or mix some of the examples between desktop/mobile. They mainly used one brief as an example throughout, meaning if you did one of the others it made it a bit more challenging – not necessarily a bad thing!This may not be the best course for you if for e.g. you are a lone worker or if you have just moved to a new country, as some of the research and analysis briefs require you to get colleagues/friends/family involved.The videos were interesting and informative, but some felt a bit long and repetitive. There were a couple of accessibility issues, mainly that when navigating to the next video it did not remember your video settings, so if you prefer to watch on a faster/slower speed or need captions, you had to switch them on every time. 

This user had a great experience! I enjoyed the course from the beginning through the projects till the very end, the personnel are very helpful and professional. I recommend for everyone looking to start their UX journey or looking to grow further as you will learn a lot of valuable knowledge and skills.

The course exceeded my expectations. Professional lecturers; great content; practical tasks that form a professional case study; great learning support in the format of webinars;  excellent career advisors. 

UX Design Institute’s Diploma program provided me with the confidence to be challenged in a new profession. The student service were very professional and responded within the day or even within the hour if I alined with their time zone. I enjoyed the live reviews of my work and felt like a superhero when they allowed me to present the work to an online audience who were also students, it was exactly like my past architecture studios. Constructive feedback was great, could be tougher, but I guess not everyone can take the criticism of their new works. Overall, if you are thinking to Challenge yourself to UX/UI, look for a program that is aligned with a university accreditation because you never know if you want to apply those credits to a course later on.

I learned a lot of things and many techniques that would have come in handy many times in the years I have been working as a graphic designer, and I am looking forward to using all of it in future projects. The many projects and lessons offered in this course did not disappoint. The team of UXDI were always helpful, easy to reach and fast to respond. If you are interested in becoming a UX-designer, I would absolutely recommend this course.

I appreciate the learning structure and materials offered by the program. The support for teachers in addressing questions is commendable, yet there is room for improvement in terms of directness on certain topics. Occasionally, it feels as though feedback is universally positive, and a more specific and candid approach could enhance the overall effectiveness of the communication. While the assistance provided is valuable, a balance of constructive criticism and direct guidance would contribute to a more robust and tailored learning experience.

You can't rely more on a UX course that has the best user experience. That summarizes it all. Great learning techniques, making everything so easy and light. I Highly recommend it for anyone looking to start on UX.

I recently completed the "Professional Diploma in UX Design," and it was an absolute game-changer for someone like me, who's been tinkering with website design and online businesses for years. My wife pointed me in the direction of this 6-month course, and I'm so glad she did. I now feel I have the knowledge to take my existing (and future) websites to the next level.
The course seamlessly blended theory and hands-on experience through a series of projects that immersed me in real-world design concepts. The short video tutorials were incredibly informative, and the webinars provided valuable insights. What stood out for me was the engaged Slack channel for students – a dynamic space for sharing ideas, troubleshooting, and networking.The modules were well-structured, making it easy to grasp complex concepts. Overall, a must for anyone serious about taking their UX design skills to the next level.

I've just earned my Professional Diploma in UX Design and I'd like to share some insights. Feeling the need for change, I was driven to take control of my professional journey. Coming from a visual arts background, human-centred design was a natural fit. After researching and interviewing with representatives from several institutes, the UX Design Institute stood out as the best choice for reaching my next milestone. I'm thrilled with the outcome. The course was seamless, accessible, and packed with learning resources, including webinars led by industry experts. Although building a portfolio presents challenges, I'm equipped with impactful projects and post-graduate career coaching for support. I highly recommend this program and hope others enjoy it as much as I did.

Overall, the UX design course relates to real world scenarios. Everything though and learned is exactly how the things works in the real world. Things like creating a responsive website, mobile websites, and mobile (native) applications be it android or ios are thought in this course and so many other's like carrying out research using surveys like survey monkey and google forms comes handy in this course.

I loved this course with the ux design institute! 😍 The course is clear and precise and you really can't get lost! Of course, you have to be rigorous and do the work and watch the videos, but the team is always there to help and support you! 🔥As a non-native English speaker, I was still able to follow the course in English without any difficulty because everything is clear and the speakers on the video speak clearly and distinctly! 🙏🏻The projects are relevant and provide great ux design knowledge! I started studying online in July 2022. I had a full-time 4 shift job, but I had time to do the course. It was very essential to me that I could extend the course up to 12 months. Most of the course was very well, but because I am not from Ireland, it takes a little extra focus to understand that variant / dialect of english. On Webinars it is recommended that they use good external microphones and not the laptop mic. The sound was sometimes not the best. I am overall very satisfied, and I jumped on a new course - UX Research. Robert Kvilhaug - Norway

Highly recommended! It was at a very high level, there were excellent instructors, Glasgow Caledonian University credit-rated. Relevant and accessible content, and it could all be completed remotely at my own pace. My portfolio was built based on the projects submitted during the course. I gained a solid understanding of user experience processes and increased my confidence, even without prior experience.

I've decided to take this course so that I can get my foot in the door as a UX designer, it was so much more than what I expected. I have greatly enjoyed the course. It not only offers a well-structured learning experience through hands-on activities but also provides opportunities to gain insights from seasoned UX designers. Additionally, we have the chance to hear from course graduates about how they successfully landed their first job as UX designers. I'm taking another course from the institute! Five stars all the way!
