Avocademy exceeded my expectations. In the foundations part of the program, the curriculum provided a comprehensive overview of UX design principles, methodologies, and tools. The topics covered ranged from user research and wireframing to prototyping and usability testing. Complex concepts were broken down into understandable modules, making them accessible for beginners to follow. The course content was up-to-date, practical, and applicable to real-world design challenges.They offered regular one-on-one mentorship sessions, allowing me to receive personalized feedback on my projects. The level of support provided throughout the program was excellent. I also valued the emphasis on hands-on experience. We had the opportunity to work on real-world projects, which helped us develop practical skills and build a strong portfolio. The projects were challenging yet manageable.In addition, Avocademy provided job placement assistance such as resume reviews and interview preparation in their career jumpstart part of the program. Thanks to the guidance and resources from the program, I recently secured a job. The program equipped me with the necessary tools to succeed in the job search.

Avocademy really walks the walk and talks the talk. Everyone is very hands on and theres always a plethora of wisdom and resources at your fingertips. The program is designed to inspire and help you achieve success. Its really a can't miss. I am glad I chose Avocademy.

Full disclosure: I completed Avocademy's UX/UI Foundations bootcamp prior to completing their Career Jumpstart (CJ)  program. This review will relate primarily towards my experience for CJ!I can only speak to my experience but to start, I completed Avocademy's ux/ui foundations bootcamp then applied to CJ. In order to be accepted, you have to be able to complete a design challenge and explain your thought process along with mentors taking your portfolio into consideration. I was accepted into CJ and began my journey on January 2, 2023. CJ is split into 3 phases: phase 1 is introductory modules as well as design practice thru Figma, phase 2 (my personal favorite) was where students got to work with real life clients on real life projects, and phase 3 is the job searching phase.  Phase 1 is pretty self-explanatory - they wanted us to brush up on best practices by reading articles/watching videos/completing design practice activities.  Phase 2 was my favorite part because I was able to actually get real life experience working on client products! I completed 2 client projects on teams of 5, where I was a team lead for one of them. (Pro tip: apply to be a team lead - recruiters and hiring managers love the experience!) This gave me a great insight to see what it'd be like to work in an agile setting with cross functional collaboration teams (designers/pm/developers/stakeholders). This was just a truly unique experience that I don't think I could've gotten anywhere else. Phase 3 was an interesting one for me because I lucked out. I ended up finiding my job about 3 weeks into my job search and the hiring manager loved me so much they ended up offering me the top of the pay range for the job! All in all, without this program that Maca and Alex have built with their own hands, I don't think I would've been prepared enough to make this career change within 8 months. The endless support I received from mentors and peers alike helped motivate me throughout both of these bootcamps. While 8 months seems like a short time, I had to put in countless hours of hardwork to make something I'm proud of. If you have the money, time, and are willing to put in the effort, I say you take the chance to break into ux/ui design by joining these bootcamps!!

Hands down the most wonderful experience I've ever had. Words cannot express how grateful I am for Avocademy. They'll provide you with all the necessary tools and resources to streamline your UX/UI Design Bootcamp experience.  If you're looking to transition into UX/UI Design or on a career pivot, this Bootcamp will not let you down! Honestly, joining Avocademy's UX/UI Design foundation course and subsequently, the Career Jumpstart program was the best decision I made. When I was considering a career change to UX/UI Design I weighed all my options - BootCamp, degree program, or trying to be self-taught. I decided to join a Bootcamp, specifically Avocademy based on its great rate, unlimited mentorship, and length of the program. I wanted to learn the skills quickly and be ready to join the market as soon as possible. Through their Career Jumpstart program, I was able to work on real client projects to gain experience. I received help on my resume, portfolio, interview preps, etc. which made it possible for me to land my dream job! It took me several months to land a job, but UX/UI Design is a highly competitive field. The help from Avocademy helped me to stand out in my applications despite not having a design background. The courses are well-structured and easy to follow. 

I really enjoyed my time in Career Jumpstart. I definitely feel like I developed a lot as a UX designer and got a good idea of what it is like to work as a UX designer. The fact that you work on real client projects is awesome, and I developed a great portfolio that helped me to get a job. I think the structure of the course is good. They do a lot to make sure you understand what is expected of you, and they also make sure you have the necessary skills before you start working on client projects. The mentors in CJ are wonderful, and they give great guidance on how to stand out to recruiters and write an impressive resume. I would not have been able to get into this field if I hadn't signed up for Avocademy, so I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into UX!

I completed both the UX/UI Foundations and the Career Jumpstart programs, as I wanted to transition into UX design from my previous career. Both were excellent programs at an affordable price relative to competitor bootcamps (which is why I went with Avocademy in the first place), with a great community of fellow students. Foundations gave me a solid introduction into UX design at a self-paced timeline with structure, and Career Jumpstart allowed me to work on real client projects and land a job in the fintech industry two months after I began job hunting. I can't thank the Avocademy founders and mentors enough for their guidance in this career transition, and I'd recommend them a thousand times over for anyone considering UX design!

This program is work ! However it is so worth it if you’re receptive to feedback and do what’s required. I loved having the opportunity to work on real projects with a manager and team of designers. Honestly that’s the easiest part. The job search was long and hard. It can become tedious and frustrating especially in this market. While it’s great to have a network of people going through the same thing as you and get inspiration from them, on the inverse you’ll want to use discernment and take advice from working professionals, not amateurs like you. It can mess with your head. Pros: program covers every step of the job process, you don’t feel lost or aloneCons: group projects can be stressful as maybe all group members haven’t followed the content and can slow you down( however this can happen in real world so good practice). Sometimes mentors can provide conflicting information however if you reach out to the program they are quick to correct it. All in all I’m very happy with my experience and grateful to be entering this industry. 

I completed the UX/UI Foundations and Career Jumpstart programs with Avocademy. After deciding to pursue UX Design as a new career, I did a lot of research on the many bootcamps available online. I needed a program that I could complete while working full-time, and I wasn't willing to pay the high prices of some other bootcamps. After speaking with the founder of Avocademy one on one, I felt this one was different from the other bootcamps. Maca explained the program and answered all of my questions, and the individual attention and mentorship really sold me on Avocademy.  Specific to Career Jumpstart, the hands-on experience this program provides is crucial for the job hunt. I was able to build out my portfolio with real client work and heavily build on what I learned in Foundations. I received in-depth mentor support throughout the job search that ultimately led to me landing a solid position as a UX Researcher & Designer. Additionally, Maca and the team are always finding ways to improve the course based on student feedback. I truly believe the expertise and mentorship Avocademy provides is unlike any other, and I have them to thank for my career change! 

Had a great experience during this bootcamp, met other great likeminded designers and great mentors! I liked that they were always asking for feedback on how the program can be improved and implementing those changes.

I found Avocademy on TikTok last year and QUIT my masters program to start this journey. If was a huge leap of faith, but I'm so glad I did it. Literally one year later I'm able to say I successfully transitioned out of education and have started my new career in UX/UI design. Avocademy provided all of the foundational knowledge needed to jumpstart this new career for me and I could not thank them enough!

I completed the Foundations course and joined Career Jumpstart shortly after to build out my portfolio. The course is very well organized and gives you all the tools you need to land a job in product design. Instructors: supportive, fast response time, talentedCommunity: You are able to connect with peers and mentors through Slack. It is a very open and supportive community. Job assistance: The course offers unlimited mentorship where you can go over mock interviews and portfolio presentations. It teaches you how to optimize your resume so you can land that first interview. The program sets achievable goals for you so that you apply to enough jobs per month and learn how to interview.Thank you Maca and Alex for creating such an amazing program. 

Avocademy is flexible and affordable! When I was deciding on what boot camp to enroll in - my main concerns were cost and time management. Though the cost is much less than other boot camps out there, they still give payment options which make it even more flexible. Since the course is 100% online and self-paced it is very easy to manage. Don't get it twisted - it can be challenging and you still have to put a lot of effort into it but the mentors are always there to guide you. The course content is very accurate in teaching you all the necessary information. Something that could improve is the way your work is reviewed - it can take a while to get it reviewed and the feedback can vary depending on the mentor. Other than that, Avocademy is GREAT! I took the Foundations course first and then enrolled in the Career Jumpstart to work with real clients and gain real-world experience. A year ago I didn't know what I was doing with my life and now here I am 6 months later accepting a job offer and doubling my salary! 

Avocademy has made UX/UI Design accessible for everyone, Including me as a BIPOC woman. The foundations course is self-paced but the timeline helped me stay disciplined. I had some setbacks due to life but the mentors at Avocademy were very empathetic about my situation and allowed me to pause my enrollment and continued the rest of my bootcamp after my recovery. I struggled with my interview skills a lot and with the unlimited mentorship, I was able to practice alot and enhance my interviewing skills. I got over my limitations and achieved my goals! Not only did I get one offer but i got 2 offers! I'm so grateful for this bootcamp to help me break into the Tech industry and do something I've always wanted to do since high school. 

I took Avocademy's UX/UI Foundations bootcamp and Career Jumpstart course. Overall, I am very happy I chose to go through Avocademy for my career change into UX Design. Both courses were affordable with a variety of payment options. Foundations was a very insightful learning experience that went in depth on UX/UI design. Coming out of it, I felt I learned a lot of material in a short amount of time. After foundations, I went into career jumpstart which helps translate everything I learned into real-world projects with real clients. Career jumpstart was super helpful in landing my first UX Design job. Even though it is a lot of work, it is also up to students to be as proactive and hands-on as they'd like. The course is helpful not only in gaining real-world experience but also in practicing time management for yourself. The Avocademy mentors are great to work with and very helpful with providing answers, advice, or practice. Even though you may run into some issues throughout the course with clients, feedback, timelines, etc. it is all real-world experience that helped me through my job search and interviewing process.

I completed the Avocademy UX/UI Foundations course and then went on to do their Career Jumpstart course. I cannot express how valuable these courses were for my career progression. I came in knowing almost nothing about UX/UI Design, and through these courses was able to advance my knowledge and gain real world experience working on projects as a sole designer, a designer on a team of 6, and a lead designer with direct interactions with my client. These courses fully prepared me for work in this industry and helped me land a job two months into my job search!

I come from a non-technical background and I was able to learn so much in both foundations and CJ. Having hands-on experience gave me the ability to speak confidently during interviews. CJ gave me all of the tools needed to successfully transition, but I also put in A LOT of work. I made sure I was meeting with mentors often both in CJ and out, asking questions, learning outside of CJ, and putting in the time to show up for all my CJ projects. You get out of it what you give. I was able to land a full-time position 2 months into my job search journey. If you are serious about transitioning into design and putting in the work, then CJ is for you!

I was lucky enough to join Avocademy's boot camp and learn about the UI/UX world. The mentoring helped me grow and gain the confidence to switch careers! I later joined their Career Jumpstart program, where I could work on real client projects. Doing this gave me the experience I needed to step into UX. I am happy that I found Avocademy because I can work in a field I love.

I started off with their UX/UI foundations course. It helped me a lot to break into this industry. Of course, there are tons of free courses and curricula online, but Avocademy has gathered all the articles, sources, etc all in one place without having to figure out which information is good or bad. It is a lot of reading and can get kind of boring, but they are very useful information. After the foundations course, I joined their career jumpstart. Much more information and you actually get to work with real-life clients with other students as your teammates. I was able to get 4 projects into my portfolio! Also, all the mentors are very nice and are willing to help you every step of the way. 

The Avocademy Foundations course was an amazing place for me to start. Coming from a healthcare background, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to learn how to work in a whole new industry but Avocademy has made it a piece of cake! The information provided was very digestible and super actionable. You have access to mentors every day of the week, which is such an incredible resource. The assignment revisions/approvals may take a bit of time depending on what it is. However, this can be a non-factor if you schedule 1-on-1s with a mentor in a timely manner, as they are able to revise/approve assignments for you on the spot.
