SheCodes is a technical skill training provider for women offering online, hands-on coding workshops and a self-paced Professional Developer Bootcamp. The workshops and bootcamp are flexible and designed to fit around a student’s schedule, moving away from traditional, rigid learning methods. The bootcamp curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, OOP, AI, and more. The workshops cover how to effectively communicate with developers, how to become a front end developer, advanced Python skills, and how to break into tech. Students learn through bite-size lessons followed by practical challenges to reinforce their learning. Each week, professional developers review homework assignments. At the end of each workshop, students will build real-life projects like websites and web applications to add to their professional portfolio and impress future employers.
All of SheCodes workshops are beginner-friendly and self-paced. Women of any age are welcome to enroll. There are various packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
At SheCodes, students have access to an online community of 200,000 women technologists. Students who complete the Professional Developer Bootcamp will receive a Verified Diploma upon graduation.

I never thought I could learn how to code. I had always assumed that it was "too difficult" for me. As someone with ADHD, I just never thought I could succeed at something like coding. It's comparable in content to the Odin Project but unlike that site SheCodes is very direct and practical and almost all the content is on the SheCodes site. SheCodes offers mostly video demonstrations with transcripts and code examples. You learn on the site, you are not directed to learn thru links to offsite learning resources, although it is suggested to do further searching to bolster learning and links with resources are offered. There is very little fluff: no history of the internet beyond a brief summary. If you want something practical, direct, and efficient, this is it. The slack channel and LinkedIn networking are alive and well: this is very attractive if you are trying to build a network. After the free workshop, I became increasingly interested in the career possibilities of a switch to working in tech. The flexibility of SheCodes allows me to work toward a dedicated goal, without entirely consuming my life.
My favorite part of the workshops are the fact that they're skill-based: you have a quick video lesson, then you get to go have fun with a coding task. In said task, you get to see how your learning comes to fruition through practice, practice, practice AND you get to create!
