Mate academy

Like any other self-taught developer, I was learning aimlessly with YouTube videos and online resources. But then I come to know about Mate Academy and I am blown by their curriculum and structural method of teaching. 
I learned so much in 4 months that I never learned in a year when I was in college or school. In exactly 4 months I got my first offer letter from the employer where I am working right now!
Here you can interact with people from all around the world. Here you learn how to work with a team and individually. Always there will be a Mentor to help you if you have some issue with your understanding of the concept or your code, there will be someone to review your code (other students and final review by Mentors) which is not possible with online courses or other resources.
Here you will not just learn to program but you will learn soft skills as well, which is much more important than coding skills, especially when you have to work with people from a different culture. 
You have so many tech checks and interview practices that you will never be nervous in your real interview.
The best part is that you will get a job assistance which is not just for your first job but  for your next job as well. Mate is not asking for anything upfront but just your dedication and being honest with yourself.
Hopefully, this will help other students as well who are looking for a good school to start their career in software development. 

I’ve studied at Mate Academy for 3 months on full-time and it was incredible and productive time in my life😅Studying wasn’t easy at all, but absolutely worse it. Me and my group had everyday meetings, tech checks and support in all questions. This format of studying completely cover expectations of future employers. And now I can recommend this school for everyone, because I know from my own experience, that it’s the best way to start your career in IT.

At the start, I doubted the positive reviews, because there were too many, and almost not negative. But solve start studying in this school. And this turned my impression about studying in all schools.

Mentors and coaches make all for giving actual knowledge. Every day u can take the answer from mentors to u questions. And u have support during studying, and after when u found work

As for me, after 3.5 months of studying, I already found work 🧑‍🎓🧑‍💻

I graduated from the Frontend course 4 months ago.

Guys if you're still hesitant to apply or  not apply to the academy, I will personally say, Mate is a great opportunity to change your life and to start working in the tech field.
Cool experienced mentors who try their best to transfer their knowledge to you, constant code writing practice, with solving daily JS problems daily - you notice how your skills improve every day.

After 3 months of training, you’re surprised by how much knowledge and skills you have received) I found a job in a large company after 3 days of job search.

I wanted to develop in the tech field for a long time and planned to do it myself as I used to do so since my childhood. An acquaintance once told me about Mate so I became interested and decided to just try.

I entered from the second try, as at the first one I confused everything that could be confused. The second attempt in 10 days was successful, and in less than 4 months I received my first offer! While studying, I tried to analyze the training system made by Mate and I can confidently say: to create such a training system it took a lot of time and effort, because it’s all done very carefully and everything is thought out to very small details at different stages of learning, the presentation of materials is closely linked and the topic you taught yesterday you already use today and understand why you need it. It’s very cool because step by step, day by day you realize that your knowledge is growing at an incredible rate.

After the first week of training you already understand that there is more information and knowledge than in the last year without Mate, so if anyone still doubts whether it is worth joining a Mate, I’ll tell you straight - your doubts are wrong, in Mate you can get a very cool knowledge base and after graduation - job. No other educational institution will guarantee you the employment. Only Mate will deal with you until you receive an offer and it’s just great :)

At first I doubted, because I did not understand the ISA way of payment, it scared me, but then I asked myself - "what am I losing?". My advice - if you want to enter the tech world and have somehow found yourself on the Mate academy website - do not doubt and do not waste time.
 
When you register and enroll in the desired course, you will have two weeks to complete the zero course and I think this is a key point in your journey, because you will understand whether you want to do it. Before the course I had self-study for several months and only these two weeks showed me that I was, in fact, wasting time in nowhere (stomping on the spot). But I want to warn you - before school, deal with all the staff, warn all relatives and friends, because you will not have that much time for entertainment or to let yourself be lazy (I left the house only once a week).
 
This is not a simple training where you will be dragged by the handle, you will have hard work - work on yourself, where you will build yourself first. All mentors, coordinators are cool people, you will become friends from the first minutes of training, and they will not leave you alone until the very end, and even after the end :). 

The most important thing is not to give up, and always remember how much you have gone through, and that this sacrifice should not be in vain. These 3 months were difficult but at the same time wonderful, I am incredibly glad that I made this choice.
 
If you want to change your life - change, no half measures, only to the end.

P.S. For those who were not involved in IT at all - I graduated from Trade University and was a casual salesman, I first touched on programming in just a few months before the courses where I had self-study. I want you not to be afraid to take a step and not to look for stupid reasons kind of - "well, I'm a humanist ...". Don't do that please :) 

Studying at Mate is not for the weakling, but at the same time it is not necessary to have a computer science education behind you, to learn and learn :)
Coach and mentors do the maximum for students, video lectures, online lectures, technical checks - in Mate everything is aimed at understanding and mastering the material.
Preparing for employment also gives a lot of self-confidence, as well as support during training and two years after graduation.
Training is appropriate for ones who have decided what they want and ready work to achieve the goal, and Mate academy will help with it.

I studied in the evening format (part-time). For 5 months of study / parallel work I learned the whole Front part of programming. After submitting a couple of dozen resumes to various companies, the market floods you with test assignments and interviews. Of course, the requirements of the market demand confident knowledge of the front-end. Mate has the full info that is needed for the market, + Back-end. I am very glad that I’ve chosen Mates’ platform. I studied everything on freeCodeCamp previously and looked for an analogue in other training databases. As distinct from freeCodeCamp, you’ll have more information at Mate, and it is more informative. In search of courses I noticed that many of them offer training that lasts 9-12 months. It was too long for me, I wanted to focus on the short term and go into it to the max. Starting to study the theory (there is a basic knowledge of JS that you can check for free) noticed that I really liked the teaching method - a couple of short videos -> practice. So no doubts - just try :) the basic part is free ))) 

I would like to start by saying that I had no connection with tech before Mate. I didn’t dare to try for a long time, but good reviews from my friends who have already graduated from Mate and settled in tech companies for a long time made me apply. The training will be hard but effective. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to receive daily support from mentors, trainers and a coordinator. Also, to the pros of Mate, I would like to add weekly tech-checks, that will prepare you for technical interviews, and daily practical homework assignments, that will help you to write clean and correct code. For me personally, it was a top intensive course, for which I didn’t have to spend 4 years of study at the university, studying old or unnecessary methods. Also, even after employment, there will be technologies and practical tasks on them that can be studied in the future (Redux, Algorithms and data structures) and grow as a developer. I want to say a big thank you to Mate academy, and in particular to Yura, Pele, Artyom, Ilya, Alina, Alena and Igor for training, advice, without you, I would not have been able to become a Frontend Developer.

I thought for a long time about how to describe my studies at Mate. And here's the best thing that came to mind. If I had a choice between studying at Harvard or studying at Mate, I wouldn’t doubt and choose the second. I think this simple sentence says it all ...Still, there were some comments on the learning process 😅 But who said you wouldn't have them at Harvard? :) After all, I assure you, you'll be more than happy to have chosen Mate, I'm just sure of it!* I can't forget to thank Mate for the people I studied with in the group ... You know, you're the best :)And finally, here's an interesting timeline:Birth -> * some boring part of life * -> Mate Academy -> * turning IT upside down * -> becoming the next Mark Zuckerberg.

Long story short: I saw a Mate academy ad on Instagram -> I became a front-end developer.
In more detail, when I first saw Mate's advertisement, I was very interested in the conditions of study here. They were a perfect match for me - you pay only for the result. As soon as I started a investigation Mate, I was quite confused that it was almost impossible to find a bad review about them. But since there are sooooo many reviews, I’ve decided to take a chance. I joined Frontend Full-time training. What did I get?
◾️ Firstly, I have a degree in Computer Science and I sincerely thought that this would help me in some way. No, it didn't. And this is the most fascinating! It doesn't matter who you are here - you can be a computer science student, you can be a lawyer, a musician, whatever, and you will be on an equal footing with others. All the guys are very different and interesting, but the result is the same for everyone - the first job in tech.
◾️ Secondly, since I touched on the topic of people. I remember back on the first call, Pelagia once said “turn on the cameras, you will see these people more often than your family” - perhaps not literally, but the essence is this. It seemed very strange to me then, but it turned out to be true. After a couple of weeks of studying, you understand that the people who surround you are essential. In general, the whole training plan is very dense and not really easy, so it's very cool to keep in touch with the group, so you can share your experiences with someone at any time, discuss something or ask for advice. After a month of training, daily phone calls became kind of “going out for a cup of coffee with friends” for me.
◾️ About for the training itself, schedule and materials. Let's start with the pors - the numbers may sound unrealistic, but it is true - with the knowledge that you get in Mate, you can easily find a job in three months. The material is provided on the platform as recorded videos, which is pretty cool since you can study it at your convenience. If you go to the frontend, very soon you will know all Misha's phrases and never let someone stand behind your back 😅 Also, if you need some additional materials to study a topic, you can feel free to ask mentors, they will always be happy to advise efficient resources.
All the comments talk about tech-checks and I won't miss this point :) Tech-checks are knowledge checks that really help to understand where you have gaps. In addition, the questions on technical checks are real questions from job interviews.
The morning does not start with coffee, but with a phone call with your coach. At such morning lectures, you can discuss the current topic and, if you have any questions, get the answer.
An important stage of the course is employment. I don’t know if there are any courses that could compare with Mate in this matter. If you are a Mate student, you will be helped to write a CV and CL, learn how to answer typical questions correctly and get ready for technical interviews.
Now to the cons. The team is constantly working on improving materials, but, unfortunately, it is impossible to catch everything. While I was learning, the React course was no longer very fresh and some things in the video were outdated. The effectiveness of morning calls is rather controversial - they are not always informative and structured.
My story has come to an end. If you join these courses, employment will be inevitable for you. If your goal is to master the profession as soon as possible, then Mate is for you. It will not be easy here, moreover, not everything is perfect here, but the experience that you will get will be invaluable. I achieved my goal, now I'm a front-end developer, and most importantly, what Mate gave me is cool people FE_OCT_21❤️

Hello! I remember reading all these reviews 4 months ago and not believing that it is possible to find a job so fast, but the experience of my friends showed that it is real, so I decided to give it a try. And I will say that this was my best decision. Before that, I also tried other courses, and there I was convinced that in most courses the main thing is to make money on you, and it does not matter whether you find a job.
However, Mate has a different approach, so I'm completely satisfied with the study. I managed to find a job after 3 months of Full-time study. Do not just think that it’s easy, it’s difficult, sometimes even very difficult, but I will the result really worth it.
I also want to thank the interviewer Yuri, who considered me a future pro, all the mentors - Elijah, Alina, Alona,   Artem, Igor, and of course Yuri, and the whole team of Mate academy. You're all cool, I would not have succeeded frontend developer without you.
It's great that Mate introduced me to a lot of cool people. FE_OCT_21 - you are the best!

Do studying Mate worth it?
Definitely!
I’ve been choosing and hesitating for a long time, and did not regret at all: a progressive program with up-to-date material, mentors - your best friends who feel, and when you need to get a "magic push". Support is mega-powerful, starting with the clarification of a separate obscure point in the topic, ending with a job search :)
When I received an offer and said goodbye to the group, I was even a little sad that there would be no more regular interesting tasks and mentors :)

I graduated from Mate about 1,5 months ago and have been working for frontend as a developer for over a month. This is a great outcome, and it became possible thanks to Mate academy.
Mate has structured intensive training, mentoring of the code, and tasks as similar as possible to those used in real work projects.
Many thanks to the mentors Vova, Igor (who graduated Mate as well and become developers) for explaining complex topics in a simple plain way, for sharing their experience in learning and working processes, and for support that is often needed.

 Hi, finaly it's my turn to write my long read about love to  Mate :)
I graduated the QA course and I will say with confidence that you will not find analogues in terms of the quality of your knowledge. The main product here is full-time training, so you need to understand that you will need to work from morning to evening, 5 days a week (minimum) and several months in a row, but believe me, the level of knowledge will be appropriate.
I really liked the training program itself. There are a lot of practices. Probably, that's why the level of knowledge of Mate graduates is so cool. Only through practice we begin to understand how everything works. Every week you’ll have tech-checks, knowledge tests. Yes, it was stressful, but it is very hardening and during real interviews you are much more confident in yourself and your knowledge.
After the course, no one cancels the access to other courses, so if you want to develop in IT, you can continue to use Mate materials, which is also a great possibility.
A few more words about the employment. Many bootcamps promise "guaranteed employment", but very often they forget about you after graduation, I say from my own experience. Finding a job is a way out of the comfort zone, so often our psyche begins to look for reasons to postpone something, to be lazy, but this will not work :) You will be helped with resumes, given advice, recommendations, secrets, monitor the job search process until you get an offer :) So after Mate graduation there is no chance not to find a job. I got my offer before graduation, and for a position, where they were looking for a person with experience.
I am infinitely grateful to Mate Academy for this journey, to all mentors, curators. I consider the decision to come here as of the most decisive in my life, perhaps yours, too, if you come here to study  

I took the Fullstack course at Mate Academy, and a few days ago, I received an amazing offer!!

I really enjoyed studying at MA!! I only have positive impressions afterwards! The course teaches you relevant technical skills and gives a lot of practice.

I liked how coaches and mentors constantly encourage your independence in solving problems (a very important skill for coders!!), but if something doesn't work out, they will always be there to help. Technical mock interviews and hr interviews were very useful, they help to understand what interviewers expect from you and what you should expect from these interviews. Many of the questions that I received on my real interviews were at Mate's mock interview practice.

Employment preparation is also amazing: they teach you how to compose your CV properly, they give advice about things you should avoid saying in non-technical interviews, so as not to be rejected right away. As they say, if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. Also in my group, if someone didn’t make good progress in finding a job, our coordinator discussed their situation individually and advised them what to do to succeed. Again, they will always be there to help you.

Our group had people with different levels of knowledge, different ages, and from a variety of backgrounds. The vast majority reached the end of the course; out of ~40 people, only a small few didn’t.

Mate provides all the necessary knowledge and skills to find a job, you just need to be able to use it to the fullest. For several months, you need to maximize the strength of your will and stay motivated until you reach the finish line. It's not easy for most people, but doing what the course requires you to do is very much possible!

Also, they're constantly improving their product. I got this from the fact that sometimes their website doesn't work for a few minutes, because changes are being deployed :) I've also talked to my friend, who took the same course, but joined a month earlier (new groups start once every month). I was surprised to hear that not all aspects in our studying process were the same. That's when I realized that MA is very actively working towards improving their courses. They actually listen to feedback!

In general, MA is doing a much needed good deed, helping people change their lives and become happier:) Studying at Mate Academy was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made.
