    Fantastic experience.

I have learnt so much since the beginning of of this course and my learning with Hyperion Dev. I am so grateful for the consistency and the guidance I've received through the duration of the course. I have to also express my gratitude to Warrick Sabatta for being attentive and very helpful when I have been stuck in a tough spot. I've learned so much and I really have learnt so much and fallen a bit in love with development and the tech space. So I am very grateful to the team and organis...

    Very poor course material

Very poor course material (PDFs in a dropbox) - Unprepared lecturers and sketchy connections - Very time consuming "Build Your Brand" task where you are asked to source recruiter and hiring manager contacts for HyperionDev - Mentors only available after 1-2 weeks so not help when stuck - Even if you finish all tasks perfectly, you will not get a certificate of completion UNLESS YOU YOURSELF secure an interview. - You will only be eligible for a possible university co-certification if you...

AVOID at all costs. It’s a trap

Do not fall for the fake reviews about Hyperion dev. Do proper research before signing up to this terrible bootcamp. You will waste a lot of money like I did, which I am deeply regretting now. If you want to see real reviews then just search them on reddit and you will really get the gist of it. It seems like they have payed people to write good reviews about them and that they block, silence or threaten anyone who writes negative reviews about them. Go and check out Trust pilot and you ...

WASTE OF TIME! DON’T DREAM OF STUDYING HERE

Course materials were really poor. The data visualisation examples could have been used as examples of what not to do. I work in this field and it felt like the materials were written by someone with no experience in it at all Concepts were introducedin the compulsory tasks that were missing from the notes and example code. Some element of self-directed learning is fine, but it felt like they had just forgotten to mention them. Some of the sample code just didn't run, and mentors were un...

    Worst bootcamp in the world

The course and company are woeful. Poor and outright incorrect information and learning materials, toxic culture, and misadvertised in multiple ways. Please take my words on board and avoid this course. Your time will be much better spent elsewhere and you will not learn anything you cannot learn in a more accessible/engaging way on YouTube.

    AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

The real course content you will be taught on the software engineer bootcamp is woefully inadequate to set you up for a job - it doesn't even cover some extremely basic skills that you'll need e.g. APIs. I am begging you just to take these reviews seriously. I think HD themselves are leaving fake 5 star reviews here because all the students are fuming about this.

DON'T THINK ABOUT GOING INTO THIS!!!

I self-funded this course. I enjoyed the first few modules, and I am generally good in self-studying. However, the pdf lessons were just lacking content in relation to completing the assignments, and I had to do more research. 1:1 mentor support had been unavailable twice, and they were not knowledgeable enough to answer my coding queries. Unfortunately, I had to stop the course after the 1st month due to illness and finance issues. But guess what, they still wanted me pay the full tuiti...

    AVOID! FAKE REVIEWS!

There exists now a huge community of students that are incredibly disillusioned with Hyperiondev. The course is of extremely poor quality, almost no interactivity, extremely limited content and many topics that are advertised are not taught.

Hyperiondev has been silencing students who speak out by kicking them off the course unfairly. On other websites it seems they have been leaving themselves lots of good reviews.

    Flexible Study Option

I have had a good experience studying data science with HyperionDev. I chose the 6 month part time online option as it made the most sense while working full time. It has been great choice as I had full flexibility in when I could complete the studies and tasks. The first two levels are quite straightforward as the course material is very thorough in teaching you the basics. Mentors mark tasks quickly and give individualized feedback which is greatly appreciated. The third level - Machin...

An exciting head start into coding

Hyperion Dev’s software engineer boot camp has been a great start into the world of software development. It is a thorough course that helps one understand the fundamentals as well as the intricacies of coding. Doing this course part-time has allowed me to learn whilst still being able to work a full time job.

Hyperion Dev: A Decent Course For Beginners

The course content is good for beginners who have just entered the tech space and lack practical experience coding. And the mentors are very helpful and detailed in their explanations and lectures. But to be honest, the Joburg campus is a bit understaffed which forces students to be more self reliant when solving problems that aren't too challenging. And since Django happened to update it's framework during my course, completing Level 2 became more time consuming since our mentors had to...

    Great for beginners

I am doing the Hyperion Software Engineering 6-month online course. With this self-paced course, you get engaging lessons, expert instructors who make even the most challenging software engineering topics simple, and an excellent resource for getting a head start on your career. The tasks are explained well and give you enough information to complete them. The course also encourages you to do research and develop your own solutions to the tasks.

    Poor Course Content

I do not recommend this institution, there is better content in Udemy courses for way less than a Quarter of the price. The structure of the course is unorganized as lessons are only taught after you are required to do the task. The chance of you getting an entry level job is very low after doing the course as they do not teach you enough content. The mentors are overworked with meetings booked weeks in advanced, and there is an average of 1 - 2 weeks wait time for assistance as there ar...

Great experience with Hyperion Dev. The quality of the material on the Software Engineering Bootcamp is very very high. Very greatful for the way the mentors guide you through the work and also taking time to explain things you just do not get. I wish I had known about them a long time ago. Challenging, good, educational, informative

The experience was good although there are a few things that I was abit unhappy with. I felt the communication was abit slow, perhaps due to the amount of students versus the mentors, but it did slow me down abit because it took a while to get help when I was stuck. But other than that, the curriculum was good, challenging but very informative. The requirements were clear. The support team was extremely helpful and offered good services.
