Appalling experience at HyperionDev
My overall experience with HyperionDev's fullstack web development bootcamp was deeply disappointing. I have enjoyed my time with HyperionDev. The structure for the course is well planned and laid out. It is a well recommended course for any first timer like myself. WORST BOOTCAMP IN THE WORLD!!!
So many reviews on here from ‘students currently studying’ on the course.
Who writes a review at the beginning or the middle of a course?😂 When we go to a restaurant do we leave a review whilst eating the food? No we wait once finished so we can examine ‘critically’ whether it was good or not. Too many fake reviews here misleading people.

Do not fall for the fake reviews about Hyperion dev. Do proper research before signing up to this terrible bootcamp. You will waste a lot of money like I did, which I am deeply regretting now. If you want to see real reviews then just search them on reddit and you will really get the gist of it. It seems like they have payed people to write good reviews about them and that they block, silence or threaten anyone who writes negative reviews about them. Go and check out Trust pilot and you ...Do not fall for the fake reviews about Hyperion dev. Do proper research before signing up to this terrible bootcamp. Go and check out Trust pilot and you will see that they have flagged a lot of reviews.. God forbid anyone says anything bad about them or exposes the truth about them.. There is a massive lack of staff it seems so response rate is very slow and support seems non-existent when it is urgent. I have waited up to three weeks to get responses from the student support department, to the point where I had to tag the staff on a Discord group chat to get their attention. The course content somehow seems incomplete as most tasks (especially the capstone projects) do not relate to what has been learned in the 'pdfs'. Also shocking that it is a supposed tech company but they don't even have a proper student dashboard where one can obtain the course material. They basically give you a Dropbox link where you can download pdf files which are highly superficial level. You can teach yourself more from the internet (and for free), and you will get more knowledge than what you can ever get in their incomplete 'pdf' course work. They boast that you will be career ready after taking their bootcamps and almost promise that you will get a job after completing it but most of the student job success is because they hire past students the be teachers and mentors for the next year.Melanie of HyperionDev

Course materials were really poor. The data visualisation examples could have been used as examples of what not to do. I work in this field and it felt like the materials were written by someone with no experience in it at all Concepts were introducedin the compulsory tasks that were missing from the notes and example code. The course and company are woeful. Poor and outright incorrect information and learning materials, toxic culture, and misadvertised in multiple ways. Please take my words on board and avoid this course. Not worth your time, much better bootcamps out there

DON'T THINK ABOUT GOING INTO THIS!!!
I self-funded this course. I enjoyed the first few modules, and I am generally good in self-studying. However, the pdf lessons were just lacking content in relation to completing the assignments, and I had to do more research. 1:1 mentor support had been unavailable twice, and they were not knowledgeable enough to answer my coding queries. Unfortunately, I had to stop the course after the 1st month due to illness and finance issues. But guess what, they still wanted me pay the full tuiti...I self-funded this course. Unfortunately, I had to stop the course after the 1st month due to illness and finance issues. But guess what, they still wanted me pay the full tuition. There were several breeches in their contract. I had to raise complaints with the affiliated Uni and Department of Education. I'm surprised that I'm not the only one facing these issues. This bootcamp was well advertised (posters on trains, adds on Facebook), and it had good & unrealistic promises, but the teaching method has not delivered. Their model seems like a kickstarter & a money making scheme, and like the others commenting below, I will raise them to court if necessary. Flexible Study Option
I have had a good experience studying data science with HyperionDev. I chose the 6 month part time online option as it made the most sense while working full time. It has been great choice as I had full flexibility in when I could complete the studies and tasks. The first two levels are quite straightforward as the course material is very thorough in teaching you the basics. Mentors mark tasks quickly and give individualized feedback which is greatly appreciated. The third level - Machin...I have had a good experience studying data science with HyperionDev. I chose the 6 month part time online option as it made the most sense while working full time. It has been great choice as I had full flexibility in when I could complete the studies and tasks. The first two levels are quite straightforward as the course material is very thorough in teaching you the basics. However, as a student, you can book a call with a mentor to go over the difficulties you are facing within the tasks. Their assistance is invaluable in helping you to understand the content. Hyperion Dev: A Decent Course For Beginners
The course content is good for beginners who have just entered the tech space and lack practical experience coding. And the mentors are very helpful and detailed in their explanations and lectures. But to be honest, the Joburg campus is a bit understaffed which forces students to be more self reliant when solving problems that aren't too challenging. And since Django happened to update it's framework during my course, completing Level 2 became more time consuming since our mentors had to...The course content is good for beginners who have just entered the tech space and lack practical experience coding.
