It is very well organised platform to learn data science proper way. I used it to learn python for data science and data science as a new thing as well. I recommend it as a way to learn fast tips and tricks of this field but it is not enough if you want to become real expert. It doesn't cover every aspect. Read less

I’ve always wanted to take courses on DataCamp, and after completing some of the SQL courses, I found them very helpful and interesting. The instructors are great, and my favorite part is that we get to practice after every section it really helps reinforce what we learn.So far, it’s been a great experience overall. I just have one small comment: in the Data Manipulation in SQL course, the section about window functions wasn’t explained in much detail, so I had to look it up on YouTube to understand it better. However, when I started the PostgreSQL Summary Stats and Window Functions course, I found many of the missing details that helped clarify everything.It was a bit frustrating at first, but I really appreciate that the later course covered those concepts more thoroughly. I just wish the earlier one included a bit more explanation about window functions from the start. Read less

For each curriculum, there should be an accompanying ebook. For example, for Exploratory Data Analysis, a PDF could be attached to the course/curriculum that captures all the key points of the lecture. This would be especially useful for those who may struggle with foreign accents. While transcripts are helpful, ebooks would play an even greater role.

If you permit me, I’d be happy to compile everything I've learned into a structured and standardized text format. Additionally, I think DataCamp should consider offering Data Science courses in other languages.  Many Africans overestimate their ability to fully grasp content in foreign languages, compared to native speakers. Take the word ‘unique,’ for example; it may not carry the same nuance for many Africans as it does for Americans.

This is my first time here no certification completed. I was unable to complete course track Data Engineer during scholarship time line because my mobile phone was stolen. After am able to purchase another mobile phone my time line scholarship had expired on April 1st, 2023.
From April 2023 too my elder sister took me out of Lagos to a rehabilitation center in Ile-ife and released me from rehabilitation center December 2023.
I started my Masters of Science Theoretical Physics this 2024, at Delta State University Abraka, Nigeria.

 At a certain point in my life, I needed a change, and perhaps it was a trend, but definitely something interesting, and I decided to become a programmer. The first choice was between Java and Python, then whether to focus on apps or data. I started with a 7-month bootcamp as a Python developer, then I purchased two more advanced bootcamps: one on analysis and visualization with Python, and another on big data fundamentals with PySpark. While learning, I landed my first job as an intern. As a lover of data frames and tempted by a YouTube ad featuring a guy by a pool, I clicked on DataCamp and signed up. It dawned on me that the two-month-long professional bootcamps I had paid a hefty price for were thoroughly covered and presented on DataCamp for about $15 a month, and there's a multitude of such topics available. Thus began my adventure with DataCamp, which has lasted for over 2.5 years. I've been following paths, returning to necessary knowledge in relation to projects, and progressing at my own pace and convenience, which makes DataCamp an endlessly great bootcamp for me. I normally do not write reviews, but I'm so happy that I chose DataCamp that I feel this is the bare minimum that their team deserves.



After researching various websites and courses, I ended up choosing DataCamp to learn Python due to its comprehensive curriculum, exercises, projects available, and video approach to learning (I'm a visual learner). I had absolutely no knowledge when I first started (literally, I was starting from zero!), and I can't praise them enough. I ended up completing the 100 days of code challenge on their platform, and even though I still feel that I have a lot to learn, I must recognize that I've learned a LOT over the last few months. Honestly, I don't know what else they can improve on the platform.

 I was so scared to change, to start all over, and to become a novice after building my career in a field that no longer served me. I had zero coding experience or exposure to the tech sector before using DataCamp. Now, I feel so grateful that DataCamp exists as a one stop shop with the tools, assessments, certifications, and Career Tracks to get me to my goals. It is such a useful tool and resource that is easy to access and fun to use. I can earn points for learning and reviewing course material all while tracking my progress on my way to becoming a Data Scientist. And once you finish a career track, Datacamp also hosts materials to help build a portfolio and resume employers are looking for.
