I really wanted to pivot into Product Management but was unsure where to start or how to go about it. Most boot camps or coaches where extremely expensive until i came across  Co Lab. It was a wonderful 8 weeks experience, having to build an MVP within a short term. Co.lab exposes you to the working industry; you get to work with a standard team, come up a detailed problem and solution statement, prioritize features, receive weekly feedback from your assigned mentor and then build.

The Co.lab bootcamp taught me that it's okay to be vulnerable, ask for help when you need to.
It's not always about your technical ability, learning to communicate rightly is also very key especially when you are working with a cross-functional team.
Setting achievable milestones is another thing I learnt during the bootcamp, it's a good way to track progress and know what is working and what is not.

During my time as a software developer at colab, I learned how to work in a cross-functional team to build an application that was scalable on different devices ranging from android, ios, and desktops. I have learned that taking an idea from the ideation stage depends on how effectively a team can communicate and share ideas to develop an MVP. I had a great experience overall with Co.Lab! Before joining this program, I didn't have the skills and experience to work in a cross-functional team but I was able to gain those skills that I wanted. Through working with a team and having a mentor, I was able to accomplish my goal of joining the program. The main reason why I'm not giving it a 5-star rating is that I felt the program does not provide feedback to students about their work performance and ways to challenge students. I wish there were more ways to connect students with industry leaders and professionals who can provide high-quality feedback to improve their skills. However, the main pro of this program is getting that hands-on experience with a team which you don't get in other bootcamps or programs out there. Read less

Co.Lab was such an experience, you get to work on a team to ship a product from concept to deployment. That's why I decided to choose Co.Lab as the best place to go in order to solve this challenge. Through the Co.Lab 2-months program, I was able to gain extensive knowledge on real MVP product ideation, building as well as shipping the MVP product. I was also able to earn vast skillset on team building and collaboration, time management, proactivity, hard work, being organized as well as commitment.
