Web Development Fundamentals

I chose this bootcamp after several unsuccessful attempts of self studying. I needed structure, accountability, and affordability and this provided that.

I was drawn to NuCamp for budgetary reasons, and they offered me what they said they'd offer: valuable education on my time. Beginners that are looking to enter Web Development Fundamentals will find comprehensive explanations and examples given to them by pre-recorded voiceovers and corresponding videos. I encourage taking thorough notes of these sessions to then refer to while participating in exercises utilizing Microsoft's Visual Studio Code on your own computer. These brief, episodic lessons and exercise will then snowball into a weekly workshops that feature nuanced tips from your instructor via Zoom, and a project that tests how well you've mastered that week's core components.Be prepared to take your research into html, css, and JavaScript into more advanced aspects on your own though; this course is mostly meant to wet your toes, and introduce you to the basic components of building interactive websites. It does, however, integrate you into a frame of mind that better evaluates syntax, computer logic, and creative solutions to natural obstacles; traits that I understand are core to a career in data science.

I was looking for a coding bootcamp that I could complete while working full time, and NuCamp was the perfect fit. The material was delivered in easy to understand lessons, and the instructor was very helpful. I am excited to continue on the the next bootcamp and increase my knowledge.

This was an amazing experience. Though it was rough at times the instructor was very responsive and helpful. They make sure you really have a grasp on the material as you go along.

I joined Nucamp as a result of an ad I saw on Facebook, because I have been recently searching for appropriate learning as it relates to Web Development and Javascript. Having subscribed to Codecademy earlier in the year and despite having full access (due to subscription) to their entire slate of learning streams, I found myself not terribly motivated to go thru the streams alone. This course from Nucamp which combines self study with interactivity and a dedicated instructor is the happy middle ground I personally need to learn, understand and keep up with the content on a weekly basis. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to do another stream with Nucamp or 2 or 3. I've found my Web Development learning home and I'm quite content to stick with it. An added bonus which is a negative for similarly offered bootcamps from other companies is the fact that the streams offerred by Nucamp are very inexpensive and affordable (not cheap) but achievable for those operating on a low income. Added to which they also offer very reasonable financing options which cost no additional interest. Awesome awesome job Nucamp, You have me for life.. 

 I enjoyed the experience.  I tried learning on my own but was hitting constant roadblocks.  NuCamp helped me push past those blocks and exceed my own expectations on what I was capable of.  I look forward to taking the next step in the process and feel comfortable knowing NuCamp has got my back.  

The price and asynchronous self-paced lectures were the two main factors that lead me to choose Nucamp. I need the workshop for accountability and to create a real social deadline. This format works perfectly for my learning style. The Moodle "ladder" score triggered my competitive nature so I worked to get all the assignments in first, but the social small-group breakouts triggered my "help the team/keep up with the team" instincts. Support is everywhere - especially on Slack. But, amazingly, I didn't need too much help. I now feel really great about my knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but what I really appreciate is the concepts of the Document Object Model and "Traversing the DOM". It all finally makes sense, and I can make it work!

I have been wanting to break into web development for quite some time, I purchased a course on another online platform but without any deadline or structure it never really went anywhere. This bootcamp taught me more in 4-weeks than I'd learned in the last 2 years. I am really pleased with the knowledge I've gained and am looking forward to the next bootcamp. I am really glad I took the fundamentals course, now I feel like I can take on the fullstack bootcamp without worrying if I will be able to keep up.

I have been trying to self teach myself how to program for a year not very consistently but trying and it was just hard not having a structure plan. I joined nucamp to get that structure. It delivered 100%. I enjoyed learning actually what it takes to become a web developer. Nucamp provided alot of information in the funtamentals bootcamp. The big benefit is the people in the course with you. Doing weekly peer assignments really helped me learn with someone. Being able to share information to create our project was super beneficial. I was able to learn and have fun.

I was/am actively looking to get out of the healthcare field and my friend brought NuCamp to my attention. I was looking over the material and information this course provided. What really helped make my decision is the affordability compared to other bootcamps. I am now done with the 4-week fundamentals course and I feel like I was provided a foundation that is predominantly for the self-motivated to learn further. You will have to spend time on your own that the course does not cover, but does cover the need-to-know basis. I am looking forward to diving into the full stack program, hoping it tailors to what I have already learned. So far it has been a great, yet stressful experience. I would recommend for those that are looking to get into Web Development.

A great course to get your feet wet for Fundamental Coding. Recommend you take. I choose Nucamp because I was able to fit it into my schedule. What I like the most about it is I did not have to break the bank to start learning.

I chose Nucamp because it was online and the price was affordable.  I have been studying html and css (and a little bit of js) for about a year.  I figured it would give me a good foundation for entering the bootcamp.  I took the basic course first (web dev fundamentals) just to help with my understanding, and I learned a lot.  I have signed up for the full stack course which starts soon.  I would recommend this if your thinking about entering the field.  A little background on the subject matter is helpful (self study)  so that its not as overwhelming when you start the bootcamp.

Review of the 4-week primer course in HTML, CSS, Javascript:I chose Nucamp because of the cost (lowest in the country) and the reviews I'd seen on Youtube and other places. While Nucamp is probably a bit thinner on the substance than it probably could be, Nucamp has a fantastic online format and platform. The instructor I had was fantastic and made herself more available than expected. It could've been a bit beefier in material and expectation, but overall this is a GREAT choice for learning to code. I highly recommend Nucamp, especially to people who are a bit skeptical about whether they should even be in a code camp. The cost makes it a NO-BRAINER. I learned a lot in the primer course and am excited to start the Full-Stack Camp next. The only encouragement I have for Nucamp is to make the course longer and focus on Javascript more. It's a BIG language and we probably should've spent more guided learning time on it, but overall I'm very, very happy with this experience. Count me as a Nucamp believer. :)

Though I've had an avid interest in technology and coding for some time, I actually was not actively seeking a bootcamp when I came across information about Nucamp. My search for bootcamps in the past few years did not turn up anything that completely aligned with my lifestyle. After reading over what Nucamp had to offer, I immediately jumped on the opportunity. During my time in Nucamp thus far, I have most enjoyed working on the projects and connecting with peers. I look forward to expanding my coding skills and knowledge further.
