UX/UI Design Foundations

I took Avocademy's foundations course then moved on to their Career Jumpstart course. It has been an amazing and wonderful experience from start to finish, all the mentors are super helpful and responsive and the course set up is easy to follow. I've learned so much and i'm looking forward to landing a job thanks to Avocademy!!

Avocademy has been a dream sent. It offered me the opportunity to learn more about UX/UI foundations before spending additional money on Career Jumpstart Program. By the of the Foundations part, I was so eagerly ready to start Career Jumpstart because my confidence grew and I believed that I could do it. I've researched lots of UX/UI Bootcamps and am glad that I chose this one. It pushes me to do more and exercise what I learned. Even though it is a self-paced course, it helped me identify if this career direction was truly what I wanted. So far I have established relationships that help make the program even more rewarding and an experience I won't forget. 

Having tried another bootcamp previously before Avocademy, I can truly say that Avocademy is top tier and number one. Before joining the UX/UI Foundations course a few months ago, I was feeling so lost and confused on where I wanted my career to go. I had no direction and wasn't sure how I'd afford the average bootcamp which costed more than I was making per year. Avocademy not only saved my career, but it gave me hope and allowed me to find what I truly wanted to do in life, all without spending my entire life's savings. To add, the curriculum was so straight forward and easy to follow, which allowed me to grow my knowledge without feeling stuck or confused. I received all the help I needed in a quick amount of time. I finished UX foundations and for the price of the boot camp I think it’s well worth it. The mentors are very hands on, you can talk to them through zoom or even in a regular DM. I had one mentor help me through DM around 9pm which I didn’t expect! It just shows that they actually care and actually want to help you. I would say that the course is very heavy with reading, a lot of it is articles so it could be a little more challenging for students with other learning styles but there are also videos showing you different things as well and the actual hands on assignments have alot or instructions and mentors to help for each module. The program after foundations (career jumpstart) has been just as good. They help you with resumes, tracking jobs, you get to do projects with real life companies to add to your resume and again there’s an assigned design mentor added to your projects. With career jumpstart I think the moneys worth it and a lot cheaper than other bootcamps i’ve seen. There’s also a job guarantee so if you don’t get a job you literally get your money back and they still help you even after you got the refund for your money. 

Would you like to learn UX/UI Foundations in less than 2 months? Do you prefer learning at you own pace? Then this program is for you. Avocademy's program is well structured, has unlimited mentorship and a community that you can only dream of. Additionally, the support at this bootcamp is unmatched. The course is amazing!! I learned so much through it and was extremely impressed with the organization and just overall flow. The mentors are extremely hands on and helpful, and the whole experience encourages you to log in and do your best everyday. I first came across Avocademy on Tiktok. I thought it was another overpriced boot-camp with little to no human interaction, and I was completely wrong. The support system from Avocademy exceeded my expectations. You will learn everything you need to start in the UX/UI world, this is why it's called "foundations". The unlimited mentor sessions is one of their best features. If you ever feel lost doing an activity there is someone always around to help or give advice. I will be honest, its not easy but what you get out of this experience is priceless. The learning pace is very individualized, if you need to take a break or something has come up where you need to pause the boot-camp, Avocademy will work with you. Overall, I enjoyed my time with foundations so much that I am currently in their Career Jumpstart program. If your looking for a reasonably price, individualized boot-camp, Avocademy is for you.   

This bootcamp honestly exceeded my expectations and it's really given me skills that would have taken me so long to learn on my own. Avocademy is not only much cheaper compared to other bootcamps out there, but the community is also a lot more tight-knit, with helpful mentors and a well thought-out course. I can tell that the people in charge really care about the quality of work from students, which encourages me to do my best as well. I would highly recommend for anyone who is serious about transitioning into a UX design career.

The quick answer is do it! Enroll in the program, is totally worth it! Now the context: I have been a graphic for the past 10 years and ventured intro web design 4 years ago. I recently moved to the US and decided it was time to transition from freelancer to employee. When searching for jobs I had to know code to apply for web design roles. While searching for jobs I noticed there were so many opportunities for UX/UI. I thought I could apply for one of those jobs, since I had a lot of experience with web development, but reading the job description I noticed I had no idea about a lot of things. Internet helped me found Avocademy and I did a long research and decided they were the best alternative to break through this new field. I learned soooooooooooo much in just two months! It’s almost like the Matrix. Obviously I had to work a lot and it was far from easy, especially when working and studying at the same time but it was worth it. Now I feel much more prepared but the best, is that I’m not alone in this quest to break into tech. I have felt the support of Avocademy all along. For me is very valuable since I had few connections here and now I feel like I have the support of a lot of people, which is crucial when searching for jobs. One of the best investments and decisions I’ve made.

I genuinely do not regret my decision joining Avocademy to learn UX/UI design. If you want to learn about UX/UI design as well as gain experience in what it is like working in this field, I'd seriously recommend this program. Just to give a little background, I had literally no experience in UX/UI design and became interested in it after a friend of mine recommended me to look into this program. Best decision ever! This program gives you the resources needed to do well in this field. Not to mention they have mentors that help you every step of the way. I learned so much in this program and was able to grow as a UX designer. 10/10 experience.

I am so glad that I choose Avocademy as my UX bootcamp. The initial foundations curriculum is very extensive while still being able to complete in a few months. Definitely take advantage of the many mentors available who currently work as UX designers! I learned so much just from asking a ton of questions. The Career Jumpstart (the second bootcamp after foundations) has been an invaluable program experience working directly with clients while having unlimited support from mentors. I feel so prepared to go into a UX job while not breaking the bank to peruse a new career. 

I joined the UX / UI Foundations Course in March of 2022. I found the academy through TikTok and I was hesitant at first but for the price and the deliverables I felt Avocademy was best fitted for me. The course is structured by modules - and if you've ever had any online school it is very similar to how those modules are set up. All the lessons are broken down into clear lessons and instructions for activities. However, if you have a hard time theres a plethora of people you can reach out to for help. I also feel like Avocademy gives you a really good community of junior ux / ui designers to network with. Overall I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to switch careers / learn the foundations of ux and ui. 

Foundations course that showed me basics of Research, Designing,  Prototyping, and User Testing using different tools such as Miro, Figma, and Invision. The course takes 8 months to complete and it's completely self paced. The mentors go above and beyond to help you understand the skills needed to be a UX/UI designer.

This is an excellent course for getting up to speed on the basics of UX/UI. Especially if you're comfortable working on your own. If you're not, there are plenty of opportunities to interact with instructors. I found all of the instructors to be thoroughly knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to break into this field. 

They take you from the basics all the way to advanced design to help you become a full stack designer. They give you the tools and tips to be successful. They also have mentors that help you throughout the whole process. I loved this course it gave me the tools I needed to become a great designer.

Avocademy is an 8-week hands-on Boot camp that prepares you for the UX/UI world. Taking this boot camp was one of the best decisions I ever made. Making a career change was scary but after completing this boot camp I feel confident in the skills I have acquired.
