I learned so much about UX design from Avocademy! The lessons were very informative and helpful, and I could work at my own pace. The mentors were very helpful and encouraging, and they were always willing to meet to give feedback and advice when needed. As a teacher transitioning into UX, I completed the course during the school year and felt the workload was very manageable. The fact that it didn't cost $15,000 to learn UX design was great, and I would recommend Avocademy to anyone looking for a UX design bootcamp!

Amazing amazing amazing. There is always an opportunity for open discussion regarding the assignment either with a mentor or other students. Ive never taken a course like this before and was worried I would have any guidance but that's just not the case!! I would and do recommend this course!

Amazing boot camp! I was surprised at how good this community was to me. I graduated from university with an IT degree where I mostly learned how to do code. I ended up disliking it a lot so I was looking for another option that's when I found Avocademy by scrolling around on Facebook it came up to me as an ad. Since I was searching for something design related and IT-related I ran into UX design. I loved how the modules were set up and the mentorship is probably the strongest thing about this boot camp. Not only did this boot camp seem affordable to me it was also a program I was never pressured to join. I took my time before I decided to join Avocademy and I definitely don't regret it! They want to you see be successful you're not another number to them you will feel welcomed from day one!

Avocademy has been one of the best investments I've ever made and I only found out about UX Design in September of 2021.I found out about UX scrolling through TikTok and after doing some research for a couple of weeks, decided to commit a bit more. I wasn't ready to invest in Avocademy yet so I started Google's UX Design Certification. It is definitely very informative and useful but with peer review really being the only kind of feedback I was receiving, I knew I needed something that gave me access to individuals already knowledgable about UX. I completed the first three modules of Google's certification before deciding to invest in Avocademy two months later. I worked my way through the Foundations course from January 2022 through April 2022. The recommended timeline is ~2 months for this but as it always does, life happens and I took 2 extra months. My mentors worked with me on this (which I'm very grateful for) and helped make the transition to Career Jumpstart easier.By far, the mentors and the quality of content in this course were my favorite things. You can tell the team genuinely wants you to succeed and there's a great feeling of community as you learn and progress alongside other budding designers. I think I've raved about Avocademy to at least 20 people at this point :DThe investment was under $1500, which was a major pro because during my research I found that many bootcamps ran upwards of $7000, and you have access to the modules even after you finish foundations in case you need to brush up on some things. There are also soooo many great resources outside of the Avocademy recommended in the course. Books, websites, articles, (probably podcasts too but I can't remember), it's amazing. My two biggest complaints (because I wouldn't personally trust a review without any kind of cons)- Not having the same mentor reviewing your work. There were a few times when I'd have to re-explain my project and justify my choices to different mentors and have someone find something wrong that another mentor didn't point out (though you could also argue that this is an upside)- The turn-around time for assignments. This isn't really something that can be fixed much (maybe with more mentors?) because nobody can be working around the clock checking student work but there were times where there were 3-4 days between submitting an assignment and receiving feedback. For a lot of modules, you could work ahead while waiting for your work to be reviewed, but some (bigger deliverables) couldn't be started until you received feedback. All that being said, I'm happy to have completed Foundations and happy to be in Career Jumpstart. Avocademy came in at a crucial point in my life when I've needed to make some big changes and pivot and they've made it much easier to do that. I'd definitely recommend it if you're on the fence!

My job was weighing down on my mental health, and I needed a change. I consider myself creative, empathetic, a problem solver, and a visual learner. After searching for the right career and deciding I wanted to enter the design field, the challenge was to find the right school. I landed on avocademy and gave it a chance. Avocademy's foundation course helped me set foot in the design world and opened endless opportunities for me. I learned all the technical, and soft skills required to become a UX/UI designer and applied them when working on my project throughout the course. I am glad I took the chance because I genuinely feel I found my passion and enjoy working too. The mentor's feedback on the project, resume, portfolio, guidance at every step, and networking are some of the main pros. Although, sometimes it took longer than usual to receive feedback.

I’m so grateful for Avocademy because I was able to learn everything I needed to become a UX designer. Also the price of the boot camp is the best there is compared to all the other boot camps.

I started foundations in January and just finished my 2nd client project in career jumpstart. Looking back at my work, I can truly say that Avocademy has equipped me with strong design skills that will hopefully land me a job in the near future. The mentorship has been my favorite part of this bootcamp. Everyone truly has your best interest in mind and are available to talk about anything and everything regarding careers in UX design.

When I got an email from Google that they were offering a Bootcamp on UI/UX Design, I became fascinated. I signed up for BootCamp for $39 a month to learn a new profession in technology. It piqued my interest. It was difficult to follow from the get-go, but what was I expecting for $39 a month? As a result of pulling in information about UI/UX, I got more advertisements for it than a basketball player with open DM's. Avocademy was the one I noticed while browsing Tik Tok. The fun tik toks they make caught my attention due to my love of social media, not to mention the opportunity to speak with someone directly. My enrollment came after a few days of soul-searching and an email offering a payment plan directly through Avocademy. What a shock. Although I was overwhelmed not knowing what to expect, I have to give the mentors credit for holding my hand throughout the whole process. They helped me realize that they were committed to my success. Even though wireframes almost broke me, I now understood what they were, so it wasn't that bad. Let's not kid ourselves, every day wasn't sunshine and rainbows. There were times when I felt like I was in the midst of a storm, but eventually, I saw the rainbow. Since I've seen great results with Avocademy, I would highly recommend them to break into the tech field. I am currently working with clients. To better build our portfolio, they find real-life clients for us to work with. Having this experience has been really beneficial to me, and I can't wait to begin the interviewing process. I'll make an update, but I can't tell you how good this experience has been! It's been way too much to put on paper!

When I started looking for a career change in 2021, I found UX/UI Design and thought it would be a good fit for me. After researching tons of online courses and even colleges, I decided Avocademy seemed like something I could try for the price, and find out if it was really a good career direction for me.What really attracted me was the unlimited mentorship, which I utilized during the foundations program. I sometimes met with mentors 3x a week when I needed help with the course work. What ended up loving most was the community that Avocademy creates. Having peers moving through life in a similar situation is grounding, and keeps you moving forward.I'm really proud of the progress I've made in just a few months. I'm currently in their Career Jumpstart program getting ready to apply for jobs.

As a service industry worker post covid, I found myself at a dead end office job in order to pay the bills. I graduated with a BFA in 2019 but was at a complete loss for entering the professional industry. What the heck was I going to do that involved creativity? Cue Avocademy popping up on my TikTok feed. As an artist by trade I was vaguely familiar with UX/UI design, and the further I looked into the more concrete I became about my decision. I honestly was very skeptical at first, but Avocademy offered everything I was looking for: Access to mentors and the opportunity to continue the advanced program for job placement assistance. The team was exceptional! I moved twice during the 8-week course and they graciously offered me an extension each time. I personally took closer to 12 weeks to finish foundations, but I felt supported at every phase. The mentor empathy & involvement was incredible! Feedback was always accompanied by additional knowledge of why it was made. The program itself is split into different modules and has tutorial videos, links & resources for every step of learning the design process. I was grateful to be able to work at my own pace, and by the end of it I graduated with a completed first protect and a portfolio! If you’re serious about switching careers, and can dedicate a few hours every week, this is THE course. I loved it so much I am currently enrolled in the second Career Jumpstart (CJ) course!

I'm going to be super honest here in this review. When I first heard about Avocademy, I wasn't exactly eager to join the program. It definitely piked my interest, but over the last year or so I've heard enough "enter the tech career of your dreams—no degree or coding—all for the low-low price of $10,000!" pitches to last a lifetime. I wasn't really buying it, especially since the program was relatively newer and I didn't have much knowledge about the UX/UI field in general. But, after a couple of months and some very frustrating happenings in my personal life, I decided to give it a go. Compared to all of the comparable "low-cost" programs out there, I honestly couldn't find anything that beat Avocademy's prices. So, I started the program. I personally love the layout of how Avocademy teaches UX/UI. I've still yet to hear of a program that teaches you this field in the way that they do (not saying it doesn't exist, I just haven't heard of it). You will basically walk through the entire process from start to finish, building the blocks as you go, and come out at the other end knowing significantly more than you would've thought (with something very cool to show for it). A necessary disclaimer, however, is that you will still have a lot of self-teaching to do when it comes to UX/UI software. There's just too many out there—you'll have the learn some tips and tricks and all that kind of on your own (talk to your mentors though, a lot have very helpful resources and tips). So, yeah! I learned everything now that I know about UX/UI because of Avo. I tried self-teaching with a free program and while yes, the information was there... it wasn't condensed into a format that was easy to follow or absorb. UX/UI is one of those things (IMO) that you need laid out in an organized, visual, curriculum or you'll end up floating out in the endless sea of online information about the field. Personally, I found Avocademy to be great and am grateful to myself for taking the leap and trying something new. It deserves to be said that no program is an all-encompassing magic button that'll make you an instant whiz at all things UX/UI. However, if you take advantage of all of the tutelage and resources given by the Avo team, you'll do well. If you have the dedication to learn and the willingness to practice, you'll do well. Learning UX/UI is a process but the Avocademy program made it feel like more of a fun one than something stressful, and for such a big career shift that's something I'm very grateful that this was my experience.

As a whole, Avocademy is a a great if not the best way to switch careers considering the price, mentorship, and content/curriculum. I found the education covered everything one would need to know to enter this field of work successfully. The only concern was deadlines sometimes as often they had to be pushed back due to the time it took to get a submission reviewed, but 1. I wasn't in rush, 2. it was never longer than a few business days, 3. there were no consequences for not meeting original deadlines as they are accommodating and understanding, so it wasn't really an issue.

After pursuing a master's degree during a pandemic, I was burnt out. I lost passion for what I was doing and really did not know where to go. That all changed from a TikTok I saw talking about Avocademy. Avocademy's wonderful Foundations program gave me the tools to succeed in the UX/UI field. I was able to learn at my own pace and find a new passion within the tech industry. The resources and support of mentors are what make this program unique. Creating my own project and connecting with other students gave me the confidence to continue on this journey in their Career Jumpstart program. I am loving every minute of it and I am incredibly thankful for them! As long as you put in the work you will see results!

Avocademy has easily been a top 5 life decision thus far! During my senior year of college, I was still lost until I came across Avocademy, they saw my strengths and explained to me how I could utilize them as a designer. Completing the course was smooth and I felt like everything I needed to know as a beginner was there and easy to digest. The mentoring is top-notch and the student-specific feedback is one of the best features of the course. A year later, I secured a paid internship as a Product Design Intern and am incredibly thankful for Avocademy. This program completely readjusted the trajectory of my life, and my future, and most importantly I can comfortably say the future of my family is secure.

What drew me to this program is the real life client experience and the job search that comes after foundations.Foundations was a great way to learn about UX design and work on my first project. I really appreciated the advice and guidance from one of my mentors.

I have taken courses in the past, and they all fell flat. I always felt like I was missing some part of the education and couldn't really bring the skills I learned into a real job. With Avocademy, I have never felt more supported or prepared to find a job, and most importantly, feel like I will do well in the job. The mentors are amazing, and being able to get real client experience before you start applying has been essential to creating the confidence I need.
