SheCodes Basics

I'm so happy I found SheCodes and took a leap of faith by doing the three weeks workshop. I've done some coding before but Matt explains it very clear and leaves room to explore on your own. Thank you for this ! I can't wait to start SheCodes+

“I've never thought about learning how to code until I found myself in a quest to change careers and then saw a SheCodes add on Instagram. By curiosity, I decided to participate in the free coding class to see if I would enjoy it. And for my surprise I did. I really liked the didact of the workshop, combining theory with homework for every new learning.” 

I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it! 

I've tried to teach myself front-end development in the past, but it was so difficult for me to solidify what I learned. After taking the SheCodes Introduction course, I now have a very good basic understanding and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a new mom, it's really difficult to find time for myself, so it was really great that I can watch the videos and complete the challenges and homework on my own time. I highly recommend SheCodes because the format is really intuitive and helpful. I'm super excited to continue coding and learn more!I will be continuing on to the Plus React course where I will learn advanced tools, including the up and coming language React. :)

 I´m glad that I decided to take this workshop! It´s very well structured. The classes are easy to follow (Matt is an awesome teacher!) and the challenges super fun to work on. Super excited to continue learning more after this. 😊 Highly recommend! 

I really enjoyed the workshop with SheCodes. Easy to learn lessons, effective challenges, very helpful community, amusing to do homeworks, and fun project to finish. The first coding workshop that I truly enjoyed and made me want to code more. Highly recommended!

I loved the SheCodes workshop 😆 The material of the lessons was really well explained by Matt and easy to understand. I was super excited to finish my final project and I am looking forward to learning the more advanced stuff with SheCodes Plus and React. I had no prior knowledge of coding and still can't believe I've just made my own landing page! Would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who is curious about building websites. 👩🏻‍💻

I had some free time and wanted to learn new skills. I always wondered how coding worked, thanks to the SheCodes workshop I now have a better idea! I really enjoyed building my own pages. Coding is a way to be creative and with the final project I got to be on full-creative mood... and I loved it. I highly recommend it.

I took the 3-week Workshop at SheCodes and I had zero experience in programming as I started it. It's sort of self-paced, so I actually finished in under 3-weeks. It was so intense, so cool. I learned something completely new to me, and the videos are so well explained. The Slack community is very active and helpful. And I'm on to the next course now, SheCodesPlus here I come!

The SheCodes Workshop has been a fantastic experience and I'm very excited to upgrade to SheCodes Plus to continue my coding journey and education. Matt explains all the concepts in an easy to understand way and the weekly structure with challenges and homework is a fantastic way of putting the lessons into practice. I'm looking forward to seeing what career opportunities my SheCodes knowledge brings in the future!

This course has made learning how to code so fun and exciting. I've always been hesitant on taking coding bootcamps due to lack of time but I absolutely love how this is structured to be for people who are in school or in the workforce full time. Matt explains things in a clear and concise way and the real time assistance via Slack gives me reassurance for whenever I run into issues. I'm looking forward on upgrading to the next workshop!

During this quarantine I've decided to improve my skills and I joined the SheCodes workshop! It was an amazing learning journey, with a lot of new knowledge and challegings. Thanks to Matt Delac and his powerfull classes I am able to create something with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. After these 3 weeks I truly feel it was just the beginning! Can't wait for reaching the next goal. I strongly recommend the Workshop!

I would highly recommend the 3-week workshop to anybody who is curious about coding and wants to 'dip their feet' into it and see what it's all about. The videos are clear, the challenges are well-designed, and you do not need to have any special skills to be successful in this workshop -- you just need motivation! I'll add that the workload is quite manageable, and the SheCodes community is really cool! 

This has been such an incredible learning experience! I never thought in 3 weeks time I'd understand as much as I do now when it comes to coding. Thank you Matt & team for creating a platform like #shecodes to close the gender gap in this industry! I'm excited to continue learning.

The workshop was very well structured. What I liked the most is that after every lesson there was a practical exercise. I also enjoyed weekly projects where you could implement everything what we learned over the week. 

This workshop was absolutely awsome! I had so much fun doing it!🤩 For someone who knew 0 about coding, after 3 weeks of learning, I created my very first landing page! I feel so proud of myself! 😁 The workshop is structured in such a way that you keep motivated until the very end. Slack (chat tool) is a great way to help us not feel "lost" during the workshop and share our doubts and get help whenever needed! I absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone who is curious about coding! Thanks for the fantastic experience and support, Matt and SheCodes team! 😀👍🏻

I've been interested in coding for almost my whole life, but was scared it would be far too complicated to ever learn. SheCodes has helped me realize that coding isn't all that hard after all! There was always support on the SheCodes Slack group if it was needed. There's something very rewarding about building something from the ground up, and I definitely felt a huge sense of pride and accomplishment every time I completed a challenge. I'm really excited to continue learning more going forward!

This workshop blew me away! The curriculum thoroughly introduces HTML, CSS, and JS. I especially enjoyed the structure and available resources. Each lesson includes a video and a challenge to practice the learned skills. The course also grants access to a messaging software that allows collaboration between students. I will continue to learn and practice more about coding!
