100% Honest Review of SVA. Joining was one of the biggest mistakes of my life, the most unethical organization with predatory loan practices. They try to make you feel special by claiming they only accept 2% of candidates when the truth is they will take anyone with a heartbeat and can read basic English. They prey on people's desperation for a new job and sales pitch of making big bucks in the tech industry, then leave you with 10k in debt, and in the worst situation then you start, they say culty things like just trust the process. The reality is that 1% of graduates might get a job in the tech industry while the rest end up getting jobs in their old careers and are left with 10k in debt. People stay in hopes of getting jobs with their partners but it’s all the biggest scam. They only market success stories and are professional digital marketers running the biggest MLM scam. Once you're done with the course they force you to leave a good review, ( All positive reviews are fake ) they then offer you a $750.00 affiliate program for every new recruit to get you to pay down your 10k debt that you will be paying off for the next two years, Rahim and his wife could care less for helping underserved communities and only care about their bottom line and please their investors. The course is the biggest joke and all of the information can be found online for free, they lack follow through on their word and leave you in worse financial ruins than you started. I am grateful to have been granted admission and to graduate from the Sales Development Fellowship at SV Academy. This program provided comprehensive coursework and invaluable hands-on experience to prepare me for my role as a Sales Development Representative or Business Develop Representative so that I can be an asset to a Tech Sales Team. This program also offers excellent instructors that provide applicable skills and learnings to the daily life in the SDR/BDR role, class participation that keeps you engaged, and fantastic community events to keep you knowledgeable about the current industry trends and news. This is a very intensive experience, so you must consider if you have the time and energy to commit to this program. I participated in the part-time program, and it was very intense but worth it.

SV Academy is a boot camp that not only focuses on the skills of an SDR but the skills to be hirable in the tech field.  The mentors are supportive and the feedback given is constructive.  Make no mistake that it is a lot of work that they expect you to complete in a relatively short time frame most of it self-motivated.  The coursework is laid out cleanly and precisely and if you follow the steps you will be successful.  This is a great program for anyone looking to level up their life or transition into a new career.

I was enrolled in the 4-week full-time program. I was initially skeptical about this program, but after the first day, I knew it would be a good investment of my time and money. Everyone who works there is committed to supporting your journey to becoming an SDR in tech sales. Assignments and expectations were made clear from the beginning. I also appreciate that after the course is over, they assign you a career counsellor to help you navigate the job search, interviews and even negotiations upon getting an offer. You can also choose to keep this mentor while working to gain advice on how to get a promotion for example. Overall, a great learning experience.

SV Academy was the perfect place for a non-traditional tech employee like myself to begin a transition. Through their coursework, I was able to see how my communication skills translate to value in direct tech sales! I was also immersed in the use of tech tools that SDRs employ and I now have real internship experience in the role as well. I recommend SV Academy to anyone looking to make a career transition into tech despite feeling they might lack relevant experience.

I think this program is amazing. It helps walk you through the entire tech stack and all the tech tools you could think of for a beginner or entry-level position breaking into the tech industry (Salesforce, Salesloft, Gainsight, Slack, etc). There is a lot of handholding in the beginning of the program and once you're ready to start your internship, you feel comfortable enough to be left off on your own to navigate the internship and succeed! Also, I love how there is an Employer's network that you are placed into once you graduate to help guarantee that you will get a job following graduation. This program increased my confidence for interviews and presentations because of our two main courses: Interviewing with Confidence and Emotional Intelligence. Can't thank SV academy enough!  

This program has altered the course of my life. I now have a career thanks to the step-by-step program offered by SVA. I was given tools to apply, interview, and work in all kinds of tech companies. I felt supported the whole way, and even though the cost isn't cheap, it is flexible to pay off, and I appreciate the flexibility on when you can start paying and how you can pay it off. I also enjoy the feeling of support knowing I am matched with a mentor and a coach during the start of my training and throughout my new career. I would recommend anyone getting into tech look into SVA because of the foundation it can create for their career.

At first I thought it was a scam, just never thought an institute would provide all that it claimed in their ads. But I read more reviews and then met an Alumni that was doing VERY well with a job she got after attending SV and I told myself " What would I lose if I try?" and I did. AND it is to my surprise from day one I was impressed by the quality of the program and the reassurance to all of us as students. Wait, you said we do not have to pay anything until we graduate and land a job? wait, you said we will have a career transition coach up to one year? wait, you said we will get all the support we need during the program from amazing PMs? Everything they promised happened and I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and for calling myself an SVA Alumni. It is the best decision I have made in my life, I met amazing Program mangers and classmates and will keep those relationships forever. I have to say my program manager Steven was the absolute BEST; he made all of us feel we belong, we belong to the Tech world. A world we are just getting introduced to and want to be part of. Steven's knowledge, kindness and support make him special. I want to say to my classmates, you all made attending the live sessions worth it and will cherish those friendships forever. At the end, to those reading my feedback, if you are TRULY thinking about getting into Tech and do not know how or where to start; do not go too far SV Academy is your place. A place where you be your authentic self and learn and grow and become part of a GREAT community, then all I will say DO IT WITH NO HESITATION. 

What you put in is what you get. I was in the 4-week program and graduating tomorrow. This program immediately challenges your time management skills and willingness to learn so make sure you are prepared. The educators genuinely care about your success and invest their time and energy in providing thoughtful feedback. It's up to you to transform that feedback into action.

GENERAL: Founders Rahim and Joel, plus the dedicated SVA team, have really created something special with SV Academy. I say special because it is not merely a program to acquire the requisite skills to hit the ground running in your new role as, in my case, an SDR for Tech Sales, but the mindset and practice to understand what it means to be a professional.
 SV achieves this with not only well-organized and impactful learnings, but by providing a whole heap of support, on support, on support-- YOU WILL BE SUPPORTED. Yet, this does not discount the fact that if you do not support yourself by keeping yourself accountable and taking this program SERIOUSLY, you will likely be cut.
As a startup CEO looking to improve my capacity and competence for Tech Sales, I wanted a curriculum up to date with the state of the art, rigor, and a clear path to move from SV Academy into an organization that I could then join for even greater rigor, professional growth, and world class standards. All three of these boxes have been checked.
In short, if you're serious about transitioning into Tech and imbibing in the Silicon Valley spirit of hungry to learn, grow, and quickly generate shared value as a team, then SVA is for you. If not, then there are plenty other programs that can serve to simply introduce you to a new skill set. SVA is for the man or woman who wants to become a world-class professional in the tech industry, and not stop at sales or customer success, but who wishes to grow over and beyond through the course of his or her career and contribution to the technologies that make life on earth better.PRO: Holistic training: (1) Sales Development (2) Interview and Industry Confidence (3) Professional Development in terms of the most important skill set of any professional in any industry-- Emotional Quality (EQ)-- how you understand yourself and others in the face of challenge and adversity, plus the tools to develop oneself into a consistent winner for ultimate victory no matter what.CON: Nothing coming to mind quickly enough. 

When I signed up, I had no idea what I was fully getting myself into. But this program turned out to be much better than I expected. I learned so many skills that I will take with me for the rest of my life, both professionally and personally. I thought it was a scam at first, but I'm happy I didn't let my skepticism keep me away from this amazing program!

This experience has been very intense. Within 4 weeks, I've grown tremendously because I was pushed past my limits. I was supported by the entire SV Staff and fellow cohort members. We really built a community amongst one another which is amazing. Now I have skills that I'll be able to bring with me anywhere. 

My time in the Customer Success program at SV Academy was very fast-paced and at times completely overwhelming. But I worked through my pain points and found a true support system and reaffirmed the fact that 'I CAN DO HARD THINGS!' The course is empowering. They help give you the tools to build your network it would take years to connect on your own and refine your image to market it to the tech industry to put your best foot forward. I have met some truly amazing people through this and can't say enough good things about it. I am just about to graduate from the program and I am beyond excited to begin the job search! I highly recommend SV!

The program is rigorous and while you receive excellent SDR training, it also prepares you for the interview process.

I recently graduated from the Customer Success Fellowship with SV Academy! My overall experience was amazing. I met so many great people during this time and learned a wealth of knowledge. Transitioning into a new career can be daunting, but I had tremendous support from SV, family, and friends. The journey was well worth it! P.S. If you're lucky enough to have Marie Cordova as your program manager, just know you're in good hands!

I'm very thankful I completed the SV Academy Tech Sales Fellowship. As someone with zero formal training in sales, I found it educational, informative, and very challenging. There were quite a lot of materials to learn - self-study and live sessions. Your time management skills will be very helpful while you go through the fellowship. The fellowship gave me a confidence boost to plan my new career in tech sales. (I am pivoting from healthcare.) It's also very encouraging to know that they have mentoring and career counselors as well to help their graduates.  I'm hoping they'll make the transition as smooth as possible. Don't get me wrong. It's a lot of work by myself as well. But it's nice to know that they are there to assist me in case I need it.

4 weeks of boot camp at SV Academy, I received online class training, assignments, and a 1-week internship. With knowledgeable program managers sharing their job experiences and guest speakers teaching you best practices. I will recommend SV Academy to anyone with or without experience in tech to enter the tech industry.

I can't find the words to express myself, all I can say is coming to SV academy was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life trust me, I don't regret my time spent here great place with a lot of opportunities and amazing people and community.
