it was affordable but not the right decision I don't feel job ready the python developer fundamentals were well done but SQL class just felt like a lot of copy and paste.

SQL with Python helped me understand how to use Python to interact with a SQL database. This is something I had always wanted to learn. I also had used API calls to other systems in the past, but learning how to create my own API endpoints on my own SQL database was a transformative experience. This course helped me connect many disconnected subjects I had learned in the past.

I enrolled with Nucamp with the intent to build up skills in areas where I believe I was lacking and simply from work did not touch these areas. Like many people I tried to learn on my own but didn’t make much success on learning something as indepth as full stack Python, often getting confused with how django worked with databases and other questions. After looking at various online learning that just offered video lessons, I wanted to try Nucamp since they offered a live workshop and the pricing was reasonable and being part time worked great with my life balance. Since I was more interested in building a complete site, I chose the Backend, Python and SQL development track. The backend Python and SQL developement is a great mix skills and was much of the skills that I have seen in recent interviews. Concepts learned here was developing your own linked list within the Python class, SQL went over migrations and database planning, the Devops class focused on the three major cloud vendors plus working with Kubernetes. I would say that all of the subjects covered was an extremely efficient time spent and given that this is a boot camp class, you get a good general starting knowledge of the topics. It’s enough to know how to use the skills but you would need to dive in deeper to expand on the topics. This might sound like a negative but given the depth of some topics, it’s far too complex to explain everything in just a few weeks. With Nucamp the direction is you have a part time bootcamp theme where you are assigned tasks that are supplemented with videos and connection to your instructor over a Saturday workshop (with covid, done over Zoom). Each weekly lesson will cover a topic and then the workshop will have the instructor go over each topic of the week, then follow into a workshop assignment. The workshop assignment builds upon the weekly assignments, typically having you go over the skills you learned but with limited information (commands are more general, you look up the details) or they ask for extra functions to be added (append to the application a new feature). Overally the experience during the workshops was the main reason why I attended Nucamp, having that live instructor in the class helping you with issues and asking general questions about the topic is well valued over any video series learning. I would also say that my instructors and the student staff greatly helped with keeping me motovated and finally finishing the boot camp. This alone is a great value for the price of the camp. There are some points I do like to make notice of. This is a boot camp and with many boot camps, it does require you to do learnign outside of the class in order to get the most from the lessons. You will walk away with a general concept of the topics but not an expert level knowledge, that takes much more time and experience. It’s a great kickstarter for anyone wanting to change careers or add to their current skillset, and now that you have the knowledge to get started, moving along to other concepts or ideas will come much easier. Overall I highly recommend this camp for people looking to change careers, those who have limited time working full time, or those who just need some help to get started with their own skill building.

NuCamp is a great concept and much more affordable and realistic to the majority of learners. The weekly self-learning and the weekly Saturday workshop works well for adult learners who still have a day job. NuCamp is really disrupting the industry and you should give them a shot!

I enrolled in this Bootcamp because I wanted to get a better grasp of Python for controlling microcontrollers and microprocessors but Nucamp has shown me how powerful and how many potential applications it can have. I'm very new to programming and databases but it's so interesting and I can truly see what all the fuss is about.

Nucamp has been a great experience. Provides a tremendous amount of information in a comprehensive and structured format to help connect and understand the concepts and build on your understanding. The work and learning are largely on your own, but you have a cohort and access to instructors when you just can't work through a challenge alone. It is a great program.

I had a hard time doing self learning and Nucamp provided Instructor led classes with fellow classmate. Very informative lessons and I've learned a lot so far!

Tell that imposter syndrome in your head to shut up. Are you ready to start a new? Ready for an adventure in an industry where skies the limit and how high depends on you? All you need to do is take a toe and dip in the water. One day at a time, one line of code at a time, baby steps and you will get it. There is no magic wand to get the work-life harmony that you deserve, you have to put the work in. That is what makes Nucamp the best; trainers and mentors that care, affordability, and you leave with a skill set that is in high demand. You got this. Nucamp the first step in discovering the best version of you.

After much speculation and reviewing all sorts of options, courses, camps and packages, I chose Nucamp and am really happy I did. I've never done a proper camp before so I don't know what exactly to compare it to honestly, but I can say that I was surprised and excited by the structure and guidance in getting you set up and walking you through the materials every week. There is a good amount of encouraging you to do a bunch of outside resource education and research (not required but a strong suggestion), which at first I was feeling lazy about and just wanted it all laid out for me in the lectures and material (that's what I paid for!), but then I remembered that's not how the tech world operates in real life and you have to do A LOT of self learning and research at any coding job, so really they're trying to train you at every step of the way to prepare you for having an actual role in a tech job, which I appreciate. Most jobs out there say they want competent self starters, and that begins at the foundation of your learning journey. Highly recommend. It's affordable compared to most camps out there offering the same thing, and in conjunction with other programming courses and free material online it's the perfect tool in your kit to get you right for your future. That said, I should say something I learned is that no singular bootcamp or course is going to be your everything and one and only. Just like you don't go to college and take one crash course and expect a job immediately after, each additional skill you add is going to help you overall and you have to build. The problem is most of us have no clue where to even start, and that's where bootcamps come into play. It's invaluable. I personally know for a fact I would not be nearly as far in my learning path if I didn't do this- I've been trying for over a year to exclusively self-teach, you can only get so far without outside help, feedback and the know-how of what exactly you should be doing. Bootcamps ARE worth it, and this one is damn good.

I compared a few online bootcamps and Nucamp genuinely had the best price by far. I was very new to the idea of coding and working with a class but it was very enjoyable. My instructor, Michael, really made sure we knew the course material and was very encouraging. Definitely recommend!

Just completed the Python Fundamentals, Data Structures, and Algorithms bootcamp with Nucamp. Quality course. Quality instructor. Would recommend to anyone that is looking to learn more about Python and get started coding in this language.

nucamp is very well priced in the bootcamp arena. At the same time their instructors are very credible in the industry and have a passion for teaching, along with the patience needed for aspiring developers. The first segment provided much of the context that I've struggled to find on my own. Feel much more prepared to start on ML use cases soon.

I recently completed Nucamp's Python Fundamentals course, which is the first course in their Backent SQL, DevOps with Python bootcamp. I liked how the program is designed and excited about the next courses. The course starts with basic concepts and progresses through more advanced topics, interesting code challenges, quizzes, algorithms and portfolio project. I am particularly very satisfied about the weekly workshops. My primary instructor, Anthony Fenner, was great at explaining different concepts and patiently walked us through the algorithms. Instructors are knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. I had some experience of programming for procedural tasks and data analysis. My instructor really helped me to understand important concepts like OOP and automation. Nucamp harbors and emphasizes intelligent and efficient programming practices that really boosted my confidence as a programmer.

I joined Nucamp because I saw the cost of it was a lot cheaper than the traditional coding Bootcamp. I know most of them you still end up being self-taught with youtube, udemy and Codecademy and other resources. Also, a lot of use of pair programming. I figured even if Nucamp was the same I would be saving a lot of money but still get the accountability, boot camp grad title, and all the networking at a cheaper price. Well, I honestly think a lot of the material is lacking and definitely need outside resources to learn more things. Especially the backend course is still rudimentary and needs a lot of work. Also don't really get pair programming except once a week. Lack of people getting study groups and pair programming set up throughout the week among other things. But the rest of what I initially thought was pretty accurate as far as networking and having a title under your name. It states 78% placement rate but we will see with the new backend if that stays the same or not.

What led me to Nucamp was the presentation of their menu, theirr colors and font appealed to my interrests. As well as the salary potential, that cooding language can offer. Nucamp caught my interest at a good time, for I was already looking for some coding languages to learn, to switch careers. Nucamp was the right decision. I feel good in investing in myself and being in a setting where I must study to get my money's worth. Education is key, the more we learn, the more opporrtunities appear and from where I would like to go, IT is the road. Thanks Nucamp

This is a must boot camp for different background students rather than CS Degree students. So, that's why I choose this boot camp and it is very reasonable compared to other boot camps. And the Instructors are also explaining very well in the workshops.
