Applied Data Science Program by MIT Professional Education

I enrolled with the Making Data-Driven Decisions program by MIT Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) on Great Learning platform in the September 2022 Cohort.
Overall the course is updated and very suitable for working professionals, beginners wanting to venture into the new domain. The videos of training are from the top notch, first line, highly experienced executives of ML/DS domain. Top marks for the instructors whose videos forms the crux of the training for the entire course in addition to online weekly Live mentored learning sessions.
Being from a Chemical Engineering background, and having classical engineering job experience, I had almost no background on Statistics and Programming Languages. Post the course I have been equipped with skills, which I am applying to perform data analysis for our company (who sponsored the course) quite successfully to solve problems and get more insights to formulate further strategies.
I would also like to have a special mention of Mrs. Akshatha / Sandhya and also Senior Trainer Dr. Abhinanda Sarkar (Academic Director) who has been phenomenal in this journey of my training with their best abilities to contribute to my upskilling.

It has been a great learning experience through out the journey. The support, assistance, content, conceptual clarity provided is highly commendable. Especially patience from the instructors, while answering queries and providing detailed clarifications sometimes even multiple times 😬😬😬. I was afraid as I don't have coding experience but i manage to learn and now completed tghe course. The MIT IDSS & Great Learning nailed it. I loved the way the professors present concepts capturing what's truly the essence. They speak from their research and also the content from some of the best books is covered. I'd say you can't miss this, it's really good. It lets you cover a whole lot in a short time. I cant take one professors name as each of them was super great. The Mentor Hojjat Salehinejad Very helpful, Hojjat Salehinejad would go beyond what's expected and give us excellent practical insights and direction from his professional experience and years of experience. The Case Studies designed well, they give you the hand on exposure. The Great Learning course Support team coordinator is great, responds immediately and resolves the tickets raised by attendees. My cohort was very good too, they ask great questions which makes the sessions even more interesting. Thanks much to the in class mentors Drew and Shubam, excellent insights, I really miss the sessions :) Loved the Program Very Grateful to the Professors, Mentors and Great Learning.

This course not only shows teaches the essential coding syntax methods required for ML - it almost makes them appear easy. Most courses do not do this - and this is half your battle when studying ML and Data Science. Brilliant course and fantastic mentors

I used to think Certificate Programs are money traps. Easy and everyone in the program passes.Not with this one.2 years of Master’s Level Courses packed into 2 months of lectures from MIT Professors, and coding exercises mentored by Industry Professionals. 15 hrs of lectures, 15 hrs of coding per week.Great spread and depth in AI/ML.Thanks to our great program manager at GreatLearning for her patience with our late submissions. Feel free to reach out with questions. 

I am truly grateful for the wonderful support system built by Great Learning around the course. It really helped a total newbie to coding like me gain confidence and apply the course concepts and turn them into real-life projects.
