I recently had the privilege of participating in MIT's Applied Data Science program, and I must say, it was nothing short of spectacular. Admittedly, the intensity of the program is undeniable. From the outset, you are immersed in a whirlwind of rigorous coursework, challenging projects, and innovative thinking. However, this intensity is precisely what makes the program so valuable. It pushes you beyond your limits, ensuring that you emerge not just as a data scientist, but as a holistic thinker and problem solver. I would like to take this opportunity to thank MIT and Great Learning along with my mentors, program manager and MIT professors. 

I took the applied data science course co-sponsored with MIT. This course covered a TON of material and moved rapidly. That being said, I put in the time and am very happy with the new knowledge and the applicable case studies where we built real regression, classifier, and recommender models using various techniques.

 I recently took the Applied Data Science course, and it was an outstanding learning experience. The content was well-structured, covering theoretical concepts from basics to advanced levels, accompanied by practical exercises. I highly recommend this course to those willing to invest time and effort into gaining in-depth knowledge in the field of data science. 

The program was very good. I had no prior knowledge of data science, and in the beginning, I found it difficult. However, as the program progressed, I began to understand the subject better. Due to my limited time, I was unable to complete all of the practice materials, but I will do so in the future. I believe that practice is essential for gaining a deeper understanding of any subject. The program is well-structured, and it includes case studies, projects, live lectures, recorded lectures, and, most importantly, mentoring sessions. The support is excellent, and the mentors are very helpful. I am very glad that I took this program. There were a few lectures that I did not understand, but there are multiple ways to learn the material. I found that reading the pre-class material, watching the lectures, and then practicing was the most effective way for me to learn.

I entered the Data Science Program with prior coding and data science experience, although my last formal educational exposure was six years ago.The data science field has significantly advanced over those years. I did not know Python. This MIT|Great Learning Data Science Program systematically taught Python and data science tools built into the Python language. The data science tools plus essential theoretical background material are thoroughly explained. Both lecture material and coding examples are provided. The program includes Zoom lectures for large audiences and Zoom mentored learning sessions for small groups of students. Slack-based communications between students, mentors and program managers is useful for getting questions answered and coordinating the program.

This program is a good value. The more time you devote to it, the more you will learn.

I've recently completed the MIT-ADSP Course offered by Great Learning, and I must say it has been an enriching and valuable experience for me. The course curriculum is incredibly comprehensive, covering a wide range of topics in data science.If you are new to this field, I would advise refreshing your basics and Python skills, as the course dives into the topics right from the beginning. The emphasis on pre-work offered before the start of the live lectures is not to be taken lightly.It requires focused attention on the topics covered each week. However, the weekend Mentor sessions provided invaluable assistance in gaining a better understanding of the topics taught in the live lectures delivered by the esteemed MIT faculty. These sessions not only reinforced the concepts but also offered interactive discussions and doubt clarification, contributing to a deeper comprehension of the material. The inclusion of revision sessions further supplemented conceptual and coding skills.The projects offered during the course were well-designed and allowed for practical application of the concepts learned. Additionally, the availability of additional resources and learning materials further enhanced my understanding of the subject matter.I must acknowledge the Program Managers for their exceptional support. They were consistently proactive in providing reminders, resources, and being highly accommodating throughout the entire journey. Their commitment to ensuring a smooth learning experience is commendable.Overall, I highly recommend the MIT-ADSP Course to anyone seeking to acquire a solid foundational knowledge of the data science process. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and I believe it has equipped me with valuable skills for my future endeavors

The world, today is led by analytics and one can use data-to understand, explain and predict the future. I was looking for a 3 months course where I will be able not only to understand the concepts but also perform practical cases from the industry. I have just completed the MIT Applied data science program and I strongly advice to anyone interested about data science.

I am a professor in the biomedical area, interested in upskilling my analytic abilities in applied data science. While I had some previous training in statistics and overall modeling, I lacked the consistency and focus on predictive analytics. Also, I needed a crash course on Python. The MIT Applied Data Science Program @Great Learning is a brilliant program that does it all - it meets you where you are, professionally, and builds a path for solid scientific growth. If you are committed and enthusiastic to learn, it provides a pre-program training in Python and statistics, to prepare you to engage with the more advanced courses. I have to say it was really excellent. It gave me the basis to further engage in advanced problem solving, with their dual focus on theory, and problem solving with coding with real cases weekly. Once you start to do exploratory data analysis in the program, you get on the path to accrue new ways of thinking with data and with more and more powerful methods to work with big data. This cutting edge program provides online dedicated sessions with top MIT professors and great mentors along the way to work with you to deliver these contents and practices. Also, a program manager is assigned to you. This person is always available and is extremely helpful in guiding the learning experience with you. There are multiple ways to communicate, so it feels really like a caring educational experience, with tons of support. I have to say I loved all the courses, and found opportunity to develop skill in multiple areas of interest, from machine learning, prediction and statistical inference with scientific visualization, applied to deep learning, recommendation systems, random forest, decision tree systems, etc. Additionally,  we work on the complex formulation of models and their interpretations to solve a multiplicity of real problems. They also added a ChatGPT training.  There is also support with career development, job search and a community of peers to engage during the program and afterwards. In sum, I found this program exceptional, supportive and rigorous, with top masters, caring and dynamic instructors, strongly building of your predictive analytic skills, and overall career changing. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I just completed the Applied Data Science course at MIT (by Great Learning) it was fantastic.The course is very intense, so you should know that you need to dedicate time to make the best out of it. Between weekdays lectures with MIT professors (which was amazing to get a good intuition about each topic) then a weekend mentoring session with amazing instructors that iterate through the urgent topics and work with us through a case study to apply all what we learnt throughout the week.That’s a lot to learn and practice and leaves you with an amazing foundation for Data Science and several machine learning techniques.For sure the course doesn’t cover every single topic out there but once you have the good foundation, intuition and will the sky is the limit for new learnings with so much resources out there.Thanks to everyone (MIT professors, great learning PM, instructors and mentors) for the great curriculum, support and the right tools to succeed.

For anyone interested in data science and improving your coding skills using Python, I would definitely recommend this program.  The courses within the program are very comprehensive and provides a lot of hands on training experience.  The program is fast pace and intensive, however, the program is flexible for working professionals, and is designed to assist you in meeting the learning objectives and assessments.  Also, I felt very supported throughout my learning journey as the program manager and mentors were very quick in addressing any concerns or questions that I had.  The program definitely met or even exceeded my expectations.

I enrolled in their MIT-Applied Data Science Program and finished in June 2023.This is an intense course. Be prepared to be dedicated to complete the course work on time. Keep other activities on hold.Remember you are going from 0 to 100 in 3 months. You are getting all the right tools for success. Execution and dedication is key.My advice to fellow learners. Program starts with Python fundamentals. Take a online course on Python and do your best to enter this program with intermediate skills in Python. This will allow you to focus more on core subject matter.Program is well structured. Content is excellent. Program Managers, Mentors and MIT Professors interaction exceeded my expectations.

I went through the MIT Applied Data Science program through Great Learning, and it was a great experience! Even though I have some background in the subject matter from  my time back in grad school, this coursework was a very refreshing set of lectures and coursework/homework. In addition, there have been so many advances in the field of Machine Learning that were great to see included in the course.

This program is well structured, with a robust foundation of different topics that are growing in the industry. The support and attention from the mentor and program manager are really good and you finish with a well understanding of data science concepts. 

The Applied Data Science is an intense and extremely valuable course with amazing teachers mentors and program management.  Nitish Rai is one of the reasons for my success; his patience and guidance helped deliver a wonderful educated experience!
