The kindness and closeness, as well as the positivism in the low moments of such an intense experience, have made that, time after, I still feel moved when I remember them. Moreover, the on-site experience of the course has been crucial for me. I could not imagine it in any other format. The quality of the transmission of the contents, as well as the coexistence with the teaching team and the rest of my classmates, both in my course and those of WebDev and Data Analysis, would not have been of such a high level and would not have exceeded my expectations if it had not been in a face-to-face format. I highly recommend this formula. It feels like a summer camp and you feel it when you leave, but in this case you don't just take friends for life, you change your professional life forever. I loved my experience at Skillcrush in the UX design track. I was originally looking for a synchronous program because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep mI loved my experience at Skillcrush in the UX design track. I was originally looking for a synchronous program because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep myself motivated in a self-paced program with no true deadlines (which was also the reason I didn’t do self-study using all the free resources on the internet).
I ended up choosing Skillcrush because 1) it fit my budget and 2) it was beginner friendly. I had worked as a mental health counselor for 13 years before deciding to pursue a second career, so Skillcrush was super helpful to learn the basics of UX design.
I definitely needed to go above and beyond the coursework, though, in order to really feel comfortable with the concepts and tools. In addition to the class projects, I got hands-on experience by volunteering, doing freelance jobs, and working a part-time contract position.
In the end, Skillcrush was the first step and the foundation of my new career. Seeking my own opportunities for real-world design experience was the second step. The third step was that I built connections with other designers, both in-person and online, which led to getting my current full-time design job.
While Skillcrush won’t get you all the way (I honestly don’t think any program can do that), it was an essential part of my career transition journey. It took me about 2 and a half years to complete the UX design track (while working a full-time counseling job). I’d highly recommend Skillcrush to people who want to learn the basic design concepts, need flexibility, and are prepared to put in additional time and effort to gain experience.

Tech Academy has a robust curriculum that can take even the most novice students with no coding experience and give you the tools to be a legitimate developer. They have very encouraging and motivated staff that are ready and available to help out when needed. This was a very intensive program(that is the whole point of a Bootcamp) where you must really be dedicated and willing to put in the time and effort to succeed. With so many lower cost options The Tech Academy can get quite expensive. That being said, there are so many lower cost options that you may dip your toe into the pool of software development but The Tech Academy is really a one-stop shop if you are really serious about being a full-fledged developer. Their curriculum is very extensive. It at times can get a bit repetitive with some of the content but also it is a way to really make the information sink-in. I had a great experience at The Tech Academy and would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about jumping into this field.

I almost didn't sign up for a bootcamp and wanted to do it myself with online courses. I couldn't really justify a remote camp because why not just do it through udemy otherwise? So I wanted something I could attend in person both for accountability and for atmosphere and environment. I also wanted something affordable.
The fact that the course was only 13 weeks was another big plus. I wanted to be done, and be working on my own projects and looking for a job. So this course gave me what I was looking for.
And hey, another huge perk? I was able to live in the student housing provided. :) The course was great! I would recommend it.

I started with basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and learned a lot about web development and feel definitely job-ready.
Things which can be improved:
Since it is a very personal experience and it very much depends on everyone's self, I still think that the BootCamp can be a bit more intense. Sometimes there was a bit too much free time between the classes. This time could have been used to dive into details or to teach additional technologies.
But nonetheless, I would definitely come for another BootCamp to Spiced as every Teacher is such a cool person!

L'un des aspects qui mérite d'être souligné est l'engagement constant des formateurs. Leur présence attentive et régulière crée une atmosphère d'apprentissage immersive. À chaque étape, les formateurs sont là pour guider, répondre aux questions et fournir un soutien individualisé. Cette disponibilité constante crée un environnement propice à l'apprentissage, où les étudiants se sentent soutenus et encouragés.
Par ailleurs, un autre point fort de l'école Le Réacteur est la facilité des cours. Les enseignants ont réussi à rendre des concepts souvent complexes, accessibles et compréhensibles.
