Yellow Tail Tech is underrated. More people should know about this program.At first, I thought it was another training scam because I was already scammed twice. I didn’t want to believe it right away. So I really had to watch all of their transformation videos on their website and actually read the testimonials. I even reached out to one of their graduates on LinkedIn just to be sure. Once I’ve confirmed that they’re legit, that’s when I signed up right away and I have never regretted it since. This program helped me secure a position as a Storage Technical Support and I will be forever thankful to this team who made it possible for me. My instructor, Georges, is the most patient, kind-hearted! He even made me a reviewer when I didn’t pass my certification the first time because I was too nervous. It happens all the time for me whenever I take exams, but Georges really took the time to personally help me overcome my nervousness and because of that, I passed my exam on my 2nd take right away. What I love about Yellow Tail Tech is their genuine passion for the student’s success. You can really see how hard they work just to see us get our jobs after the program and I can really tell, it pays off. Just seeing students get certified and get jobs in our Slack community almost everyday, it’s very motivating and it keeps me pushing. It’s truly a life-changing experience for me and I never regretted going into this journey. Now, I have a high-paying job, even 3x more than my previous career, good health care for my family, and at the same time, I work from home and be able to see my wife and my kids all the time. I really enjoy this program. It helped me get into Linux and find a very decent job. I’m currently working as a Linux System Administrator and it’s a remote, flexible job. I can literally work anywhere I want. I’m really enjoying it and how it also helped me be more financially independent. The program format is very well thought out and you can really see how it’s designed for people with no IT experience. It was a great experience overall and I will highly recommend it!

I’m usually skipping class at school but the way David Baker taught us Linux is so fun and enjoyable and honestly I’m really enjoying what I do. My training at Yellow Tail Tech has been excellent! It’s not easy because you really have to absorb a lot of information but the instructors are very helpful. I also like the assignments they’ve given us because I think that it really helps us in making sure that we get what’s being discussed in class. The modules are also self-explanatory and we have a Slack channel so that if we have questions we can just easily put them there and get answers. There’s a sense of community you know, it’s one of the best things about Yellow Tail Tech we’re like a family here. 
Yellow Tail Tech is a really open learning environment. My colleagues and I collaborate well in class. It’s a really nice environment. You just need to be willing to do the work and you know practice.  Read less

The instructors at Yellow Tail Tech are not just excellent, they are outstanding! I came to the US a month before the pandemic and I was in search of something that would help me earn so I can support my family back in my home country. I got hired as a salesperson and somehow the job became a routine and I was ready for something challenging. This friend of mine who’s a nurse had just recently enrolled at Yellow Tail Tech and encouraged me to check their programs too. 
I enrolled in Yellow Tail Tech’s Linux for Jobs program. Me and my friend were classmates and it’s funny cause we see each other at work and we also see each other in class. The training is really good, unlike other schools where it’s self-paced where you can just come in and out of your time, it’s so easy to procrastinate and postpone the lessons. At Yellow Tail Tech there is a designated time for us to take the class, and we are also given time to review and absorb the material. I like it that way. 
I believe in the program so much that I know that if I just follow Yellow Tail Tech’s instructions I know I can make it. Read less

Up to now, I had an awesome experience with Yellow Tail Tech. The experience is great, the environment too. Even though the class is actually online, on Zoom, you feel like you're in a real class. You can talk with your students. You can ask questions with the teachers and more than that is we have that channel, a slack channel where we can communicate. There are people 24/7. Whatever time you ask a question, there's always somebody to answer your question right away. So my experience with Yellow Tail is perfect. It's great.The instructors and TAs, I can’t even think of a word to say about them, those guys are amazing. David and Ricky, and now I just started with Santiago, but I can tell that he's a good instructor, too. And the teacher assistant, too, they're so great. I remember since day one when I talked to, I don't remember the name of the lady the first time I spoke to, she was very, very nice. Everybody in the Yellow Tail Tech family, they are so nice and everybody is willing to help you if you ever have any situation going on. So to me, the teachers are great and the staff is amazing. Yellow Tail Tech is definitely not a tech "Boot Camp". It is a school. A Real school. Students are in class, encouraged to ask the professor any questions, and build a great two way communication relationship just like in a university. My experience has been very pleasant. Yellow Tail Tech helped me have a more flexible schedule, without sacrificing my finances. I was working as a flight attendant and our schedule was chaotic. The perks of traveling anywhere is nice and rewarding but when you have a family already staying at home is something I really want. My husband is working in an office so we have to ask my mom to take care of our two kids, which worked out until she suffered a mild stroke and I decided to stop flying.
I learned about Yellow Tail Tech from my friend who’s husband is studying in one of their programs. I looked into their website and since I was kinda desperate to do something I booked a session with them and enrolled. It was a swift process that by the time I was studying the Linux for Jobs program and months had passed already I never really expected that here I am at cert prep.
What a ride! The whole structure is perfect! I like how the teachers handed down the modules and how easy it is for us to reach out to our instructors especially if we have questions. Since I’m preparing for my certification already, I’m confident that after I pass and do the internship, Yellow Tail Tech will still be there for me to assist me in everything.

My previous work was in a gas station, it’s my way of helping out my parents, and since I’ve stopped studying already I have to get other side hustles to provide for my personal needs too. I’ve always been fascinated by the world of IT and it’s like a kid’s dream for me working in the IT industry but I just had to let it pass.
I never really thought that I could be studying IT or working in it because looking back I have no idea how I could finance myself but one time my uncle visited and asked about my future plans, what I loved to do, I told him about IT and he then introduced Yellow Tail Tech because his friend is studying there. He offered me a loan and that’s it I just enrolled in their Linux for Jobs program and put in everything I’ve got. The good thing about Yellow Tail Tech is that I can still do some day time jobs because classes start at 7:00 PM which is really convenient. I like the fact that we have review sessions every weekend too. 
I’ve always told myself that when I get in I have to really focus because this is it, this is my first step. I’m very thankful to all my teachers because they’ve been great at everything - support, giving tips, the lessons were handled in a way that everyone can really understand and you can ask any question.
Yellow Tail Tech has given me the opportunity to really learn something new and apply it on real projects. I'm so glad that I was able to start this journey through Yellow Tail Tech! I was working as a bus driver for 10 years, and I wanted to change directions in my life. It’s tiring you know, driving everyday and to be honest it became boring. All I do is drive from one destination to the next. I’m sure this is not the thing for me but I’m scared of jumping into something I’m not familiar with and failing. I don’t want to be a bus driver until I die. A friend told me about Yellow Tail Tech, and I never imagined myself learning IT. In fact I told my friend that at my age IT should not be my next career target, but when I saw the interviews on their website of people like me who had no background in IT, it made me want to learn more—so much so that I signed up right away.
It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. I'm so glad that I enrolled at Yellow Tail Tech. The instructors are not just the best they go above and beyond for you. I mean you will know if someone wants the best for you or if they’re just doing their job. At Yellow Tail Tech, the instructors, teacher assistants and the whole team wants you to succeed. I mean it’s a learning platform and a support system at the same time.

I want to make a change in my life, but I find myself stuck between two careers: one that pays less and another that pays well, and is flexible enough to allow me to grow professionally and personally. Of course, the latter would be my obvious choice right? But I was still hesitant because of the number of scammers I hear and see on the news. I did some research on bootcamps but nothing stood out until my cousin told me about Yellow Tail Tech, he said that his friend who was a nurse before is now working remotely in an IT company. I was like wow, that’s amazing. So I went to the Yellow Tail Tech website and I saw the students that were successful because of them. 
It’s been three months since I started the program and I am very very glad I did. It was amazing learning new things and the teachers were very friendly and very engaging too. Our lead instructor is Zee and I’m very grateful for all the guidance he has given me and the rest of our class. 
If I had to make a decision of whether I should shift to an IT Career I wish I did it sooner. I thank myself for not passing on this opportunity, I’m very excited about what's going to happen next. All the teachers were excellent—they made sure that every student understood what they were learning, so when it was time to take the certification exam all of us were prepared. I was so shocked that all the questions from the cert prep ( when we were still preparing for the red hat certification) were in the exam like 95% of everything we studied were there. 
Yellow Tail Tech also helped me polish my LinkedIn profile and resume and we also did mock interviews which were so awesome. I couldn't make it without them! After 2 months of sending resumes and answering interview questions, I actually received 3 job offers all offering remote work. I have been working as a machine operator for the past five years and I have seen many changes in the industry, especially during the pandemic. I also observed that during that time many workers decided to work from home and because of that there is an increase in hiring people from IT. It didn’t really cross my mind to be an IT professional. I was just jealous of those people who were able to earn a higher salary while working from home. 
I saw an ad for Yellow Tail Tech on my way home from work, and I thought it would be interesting to learn more about what they do. When I went to their website, I was impressed with their high-quality content and student community. They really do prepare students well for the job market after they graduate. 
The program structure is very excellent, especially for people with no IT background. I really like the way our teachers explain things because I can understand them clearly and they don’t just teach you, they also motivate you. It’s true what they say that if you work hard you’re going to succeed. When I passed the Red Hat Certification Exam I was so happy, my teachers and classmates were also very happy for me and that’s what I like about Yellow Tail Tech, we’re like a family.
After a month of interviews and job search, I was able to land a job and the salary was very competent. The best thing about it is that I received two offers from different companies. I have been in the Linux for Jobs program of Yellow Tail Tech for a couple of months at this point. I have learned so much, and it has helped me tremendously, especially for my future career.
The program is very well organized and the instructors are great! They do a great job of making sure that everyone gets a chance to speak and ask questions. The classes are very well structured that you can really get to know your classmates and instructors, and they are also organized in such a way that it doesn't feel like you sit around all day doing nothing.
I really appreciated the message that Jubee was telling us and what the school is all about. It wasn't just about getting me a certification, but getting me a career, starting me off, and doing the right steps. That was exactly what I wanted out of my education as well as my career path.
My experience so far has been fantastic! My instructor is wonderful, he goes above and beyond to help each student succeed no matter where they are on their path toward learning or working toward their goals. Classmates are great too, we all learn together through our discussions in class. I learn a lot every time I’m in class.

 Title: I don't know enough, but just the way they're taking me throughout the program, I believe I'm made to succeed:
 
I don't know where to start. The experience is just overwhelming. When I came in with Yellow Tail, the first day in our course, we had this brief review with Jubee and it was about the program that those that are here have been selected and are chosen and we are made to succeed. So when the program started, my instructors were so professional. They listen to everyone's problem very keenly, and they even put in extra hours to assist those that have difficulties. I am a good listener, so when I listen, I take notes, but some people are smarter than me, and so when I have issues, I always go back to my instructor after the class and I always listen to them, they are always willing to help, to listen and to assist. So, my class has been very exciting, and I have really gained a lot from Yellow Tail Tech because I never knew I could go so far, right now what I can do in Linux, I never knew I can do it. And there are a lot of things in Linux that I also need to know. I don't know enough, but just the way they're taking me throughout the program, I believe I'm made to succeed. At the end of this program, I think whatever the case, I will never regret it. I will not. But first of all, the aim of the program is for me to know what Linux is. They don't really care much about you being certified. They care much about you understanding what Linux is, and once you understand it, having a certification is not going to be difficult. You're going to just go into it and pass it. Right now I'm ready to take my certification after just three months of classes.

There is nothing in Linux that will be above me because I know where to get the resources, I know where to get assistance. I know how to ask my questions, and I know how to communicate the IT language. So there is absolutely nothing in IT, specifically in Linux, that I will not be able to handle, right now. In just three months! It's not like I've been in the program for six months. It's three months, April till today, August, is like three months.

My instructors are high-level professionals, and I envy them because I just wish I should have been in their place. Because of the way they handle the classes, they make it a little bit easy for someone to assimilate, even if you have no clue in Linux, or in IT. Riky is something else like he's that person. He smiles all the time, but he gives you the real thing. So if you come in to play with Riky, he'll play with you. But if you come in with seriousness, he's going to give you what you want. So thank God, in my class everybody is a joker and everybody wants to learn something, and Riky had it hot, because when he explains certain things and people are like, what's this? Riky will say, oh man, last class I said this. So he always goes back and forth to make sure that we are on the same page. I just love that dude. He told us that during the internship, he's going to make it difficult for us. I'm still waiting to see that because he's not that kind of person that he plays a lot, and the classes, his classes were so amazing. Now in IT infrastructure, if we talk about things like subnetting, I can give you whatever you want with subnetting, because he's so good at it. And I love the way he took the class. He was so serious, and even though he was playing, he was so serious and he made sure that we covered all the loopholes. And right now I'm good at IT, especially in IT infrastructure, building, connecting the routers to servers, and all that stuff. That would have made the class really interesting and I just love his assignments. His assignments were really enriching and they taught me a lot, because I spent hours on hours, and slept at 03:00 AM at times just to complete assignments.

So if you come to Yellow Tech, please be ready to work because it’s not a place for someone to come and sleep. That's what I will say.

My experience as a student at Yellow Tail Tech has been great from the get-go. From the time when I decided that I want to be in Yellow Tail Tech, I reached out to the team. They told me part of the aspects of it. The team was quick to reach out back to me. I had a great interview. They kind of broke it down for me, the whole program. Currently, I've been at AWS for jobs. They broke down the program structure from start to finish. To me, AWS for Jobs is a great program. And to anybody who wants to take the leap of faith and go into IT, either AWS or Linux, the other program that Yellow Tail offers, I definitely recommend that you join the course. The way the program is structured... It's a solid program. You are guaranteed to get a job if you get into this program. Definitely. The instructors are golden. Yellow Tail Tech has good instructors. The way they teach, and the way they instruct it’s very different from a college aspect. The teaching is handled. As they teach, they walk you through everything that you are doing. And another thing is they start from zero. Currently, my classes are with different people who are at different IT levels. There are some who are below the IT level, and who are in the IT industry for a very long time. There are some who have zero IT. But by the way, the instructors will break it down from zero to as we build up..., I am also in the IT industry, but the way the instructor taught us is like filling in the gaps from what I previously learned. And the instructors are very educated in their professions and they are very patient with the students. That's the key thing about the instructors that are clever. They're very patient with the students. If you ask a question they’re always ready to answer. And also there are recordings on every class that is available for us to download and so we can use them anytime. Read less

My experience at Yellow Tail Tech has been an awesome experience. This program has been well thought out. There's evidently been a lot of preparation and real thought put into it, which makes it different from all of the other little programs. In other programs, you get in there and you don't know anything by the time you're done and you’re still just as confused as before you started. What I also love about the program is that there's never just one main instructor. You get two or three different ones, and what's great about having a variety of teachers is that what you may not get with one, you may understand with another. And it doesn't mean that one is presenting great while the other is not -no, it’s just they present it in different ways. So even if you don’t get it the first time you’ll surely be able to understand it the second time around. The modules are also set up in a structured manner. And the thing that I love is the fact that they advertise, "Hey, if you want to break into IT, you've never done IT, here come." I've seen a lot of programs say that, and then when I get in there, I'm like, "Okay, I get this because I've done some courses, but I know somebody else won't get this." The modules really are broken down from A to Z. You start with the building blocks, and they give you the basics. It’s not like having a bunch of topics getting thrown at you, but it’s given to you in a very consumable way. I don’t want to say spoon-fed but it's given to you at a pace that you can consume it, digest it, understand it, and then move to the next thing. I always say that any program that can keep my attention, has done a great job. It’s very engaging. The key is to always practice. You got to practice the things you learn because they give you everything. I'm excited and nervous at the same time to get to the exam because once I get to the exam, that means I can go to the internship part. It's great. It keeps you going, it keeps you motivated, and it gives you that drive. Cert Prep is my favorite part. I like the way it’s presented and I like the speed that we’re going. You have to make sure that all the things you need to know you have put in your memory. That’s why practice is very important. As soon as they said cert prep was the start of the week, I don't know what happened. I'm even more hyper-focused now. It was crazy. Also, they gave us t-shirts, I'd wear those T-shirts anywhere. I want somebody to ask me about it so I can be like, "Yellow Tail Tech. Let me tell you what it's all about. "What I would love, I hope as the years go by that they'll even branch out and offer other courses. Not just Linux, but maybe one day start offering courses like cybersecurity. I love how they got AWS, and they got the Linux thing, but if they can set it up and have everything the way this program is set, that would be great. I'd recommend it to everybody. Everybody, do Yellow Tail Tech.
