Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.

To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.

Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a Money-Back Guarantee.

Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

    It's a scam.

I've applied for the software engineering bootcamp recently and I was contacted by an advisor. I told my advisor that i can't start immediately. I asked if they have classes that will start after two months (in feb 25). He told me there will be new classes every month, but  in order to secure a spot in the future, I have to pay a $1000 immediately. So I paid. But before I decided to start I had many questions, therefore I called him and email him many times and each time I made sure that...

    Good for beginners/refining skills

I think that springboard helped me refine my design skills, given there were multiple projects and exercises to do. I learned a lot through application! Practice leads to improvement. One thing tho, I’d like to note that I think this bootcamp is good for 1) beginners (absolutely no experience in design) and 2) moderate/amateur (some design experience) as I think that the material and grading isn’t of the HIGHEST quality, I think it can be better. There are no live classes at all, there’s...

Be aware of the job guarantee

I am extremely disappointed with the Springboard cybersecurity program. Despite their bold promise of a job guarantee, my experience has been far from reassuring. Just two weeks after my first meeting with my career mentor, it became clear that landing a cybersecurity job was unlikely, and instead, I was being steered towards tech support roles.

To make matters worse, I checked Slack messages and found many participants with extensive tech support experience who are still struggli...

The data science program of Springboard is great

Springboard is a very comprehensive education program. all the staff are very comprehensive. The career coach and advisor are very talent and professional. you can get free access to Datacamp where you can learn much as many courses  as you want. Definite recommend.

    A bootcamp done right

I decided to take Springboard’s cybersecurity career track because of the quick 6-months to completion timeline and the job guarantee  (you get a tuition refund if you don’t find a job) which you have to qualify for. After having finished the curriculum, here are my thoughts:

    Pros:

The support system: You get many different support outlets when you need help understanding concepts or projects. You are matched with a 1-on-1 mentor and career coaches that meet with you regu...

    Great mentorship, curriculum is lacking.

The Springboard UX/UI Design Career Track offers a mixed experience for aspiring designers. While the mentorship component stands out as a significant highlight, providing personalized guidance and encouragement, the overall structure and content of the course leave much to be desired.

One major drawback is the lack of structured teaching for essential UX/UI tools like Figma. Students are expected to learn these programs on their own, which can be quite challenging without formal ...

    Everything was fine.

    Pros: overall is fine.

    Cons:
Would be better if NLP would be as an important topic, not optional.

A had Vishal Ratra instructor  who took a coding mock test, in my opinion, he was not a professional, as he did not want to answer to his own question, when I asked him. I believe, if you ask a question, you need to answer and show how to solve it if a person whom you ask doesn't know the answer or needs some guidance to answer it.

    Terribly run, rude staff

Rude, condescending mentors, career coaches, student advisors, and other staff. They play favorites, are tribal, and really like people of their own continent and country. If you're a less favored minority, be prepared to get contempt, laziness, and rude treatment. They put themselves way above you, even if you're much better than they are. They can be incredibly unethical, and just oriented towards the bottom line. In fact, Springboard the company is like this. The course is poorly stru...

    Great courses

Springboard is a really good bootcamp. The mentors and career coaches are great. My only complaint is that a lot of the course materials are links to websites that a person could access for free. But the access to industry professionals and career advisors makes up for that.

    Engaging and Difficult

The UI/UX course was extremely engaging and properly difficult without making me want to give up. It was fun to learn all the new skills and new ways to apply general knowledge I had before this course. My mentor was very knowledgeable and not afraid to give me critiques when I needed it, which I always appreciated.

Comprehensive Review of the Springboard UX/UI Course

Embarking on my journey as a budding UX/UI designer, I enrolled in the Springboard UX/UI course, eager to augment my skill set and knowledge within the realm of design. Throughout the duration of the program, I found myself immersed in a meticulously structured curriculum that adeptly balanced theoretical underpinnings with practical application.

This was a course that is built for the success of their students in mind. It’s comprehensive and does a great job introducing the world of data analytics from the beginning. I did enjoy that it even dived into mindset and how to think business-like.

    Great Curriculum

This software engineering course was an incredible journey into the heart of web development. Covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript provided a solid foundation, but my real highlights were diving into React for front-end magic and mastering Flask for server-side scripting. The course's emphasis on hands-on learning made it a fun experience. My mentors were knowledgeable, and the curriculum felt hard enough to know you are learning but not impossible to do if you set yourself to it.

    Good but could be better

The curriculum is well done, and the Capstones allow for the student to really explore and get used to creating a data science project. I had a good mentor who was able to help me with the technical work and some of the logistics. The lack of required group work makes the course feel isolating and its hard to get a sense of how good you are relative to people in the same position since the only point of contact is a mentor who is established in the field.

Good experience, not a magic switch

Mentors and career coaches are great resources, but you will largely be teaching yourself the hard skills. I definitely feel very confident in my abilities, but finding work in the field can be very difficult even with this certificate.

    Scam, beware, ridiculous

Ok guys, beware of Springboard. I don’t want anyone to make the same mistake that I did. I am about to graduate their UI UX course and let me tell you, it has been an absolute disaster. I really expected great things from them. In the beginning, I would literally even reply to “advisor” “how are you” email blasts. But, boy was I in for a ride. Most of their content and curriculum is YouTube videos, medium articles, and articles that come up on Google. By the way, yes, the articles WILL h...
