Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. I've applied for the software engineering bootcamp recently and I was contacted by an advisor. I told my advisor that i can't start immediately. I asked if they have classes that will start after two months (in feb 25). He told me there will be new classes every month, but in order to secure a spot in the future, I have to pay a $1000 immediately. So I paid. Now they are accumulating a late fee. Trust me! I contacted my advisor, the school finance office and the admission office. None of them seem to care. That' when knew I got a scammed in to paying. I'll try to get a refund and revoke my application. Think about it, if they didn't care now, they will absolutely not going to care after I paid all the money. Which I'll not do. Good for beginners/refining skills
I think that springboard helped me refine my design skills, given there were multiple projects and exercises to do. I learned a lot through application! Practice leads to improvement. One thing tho, I’d like to note that I think this bootcamp is good for 1) beginners (absolutely no experience in design) and 2) moderate/amateur (some design experience) as I think that the material and grading isn’t of the HIGHEST quality, I think it can be better. Be aware of the job guarantee
I am extremely disappointed with the Springboard cybersecurity program. Despite their bold promise of a job guarantee, my experience has been far from reassuring. Just two weeks after my first meeting with my career mentor, it became clear that landing a cybersecurity job was unlikely, and instead, I was being steered towards tech support roles.
To make matters worse, I checked Slack messages and found many participants with extensive tech support experience who are still struggli...I am extremely disappointed with the Springboard cybersecurity program. This feels like a scam. Promising job guarantees without delivering is misleading and unfair. Prospective students deserve transparency about the real outcomes they can expect. A bootcamp done right
I decided to take Springboard’s cybersecurity career track because of the quick 6-months to completion timeline and the job guarantee (you get a tuition refund if you don’t find a job) which you have to qualify for. After having finished the curriculum, here are my thoughts:
Pros:

Pros:
The support system: You get many different support outlets when you need help understanding concepts or projects. You are matched with a 1-on-1 mentor and career coaches that meet with you regularly to keep you accountable and help you achieve your career goals. The program very much teaches and instills the need to network in addition to learning. You also have a Slack channel to connect with students and peer mentors who are other Springboard alumni.
The credentials: When you graduate from the program you gain 30+ projects including a capstone to start creating a project portfolio along with the CompTIA Security+ certification which is very often listed in cybersecurity job descriptions.
Flexibility: In order to complete the bootcamp in 6 months, you need to dedicate at least 15-20 hours a week. They did offer me 2 months of free extensions once I completed 50% of the curriculum in a timely manner.
Cons:
Mentor punctuality: More than a handful of times my mentors would have to reschedule meetings or would not show up and give very little notice. They would, however, always make the effort to reschedule. I would chalk this up to the fact that the mentors in this program actually work in cybersecurity so I understand them having tough schedules to work around.
I think the Springboard Cybersecurity career track is a compelling bootcamp option because of its wholistic approach to helping you get into the industry backed with the safety and accountability of the job guarantee.

However, the industry design project included in the curriculum is a standout feature. This project provides practical, hands-on experience that is invaluable for students. Working on real-world problems helps to cement theoretical knowledge and develop a portfolio that can impress potential employers.
Despite these positives, the inconsistencies in content delivery and the lack of structured tool instruction ultimately impact the program’s effectiveness. The mentorship and practical projects are strong points, but they are not enough to fully compensate for the course’s shortcomings. A had Vishal Ratra instructor who took a coding mock test, in my opinion, he was not a professional, as he did not want to answer to his own question, when I asked him. I believe, if you ask a question, you need to answer and show how to solve it if a person whom you ask doesn't know the answer or needs some guidance to answer it.

If you're a less favored minority, be prepared to get contempt, laziness, and rude treatment. They put themselves way above you, even if you're much better than they are. Great courses
Springboard is a really good bootcamp. The mentors and career coaches are great. My only complaint is that a lot of the course materials are links to websites that a person could access for free. Great Curriculum
This software engineering course was an incredible journey into the heart of web development. Covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript provided a solid foundation, but my real highlights were diving into React for front-end magic and mastering Flask for server-side scripting. Good but could be better
The curriculum is well done, and the Capstones allow for the student to really explore and get used to creating a data science project. I had a good mentor who was able to help me with the technical work and some of the logistics. Ok guys, beware of Springboard. I don’t want anyone to make the same mistake that I did. I am about to graduate their UI UX course and let me tell you, it has been an absolute disaster. I really expected great things from them. In the beginning, I would literally even reply to “advisor” “how are you” email blasts. But, boy was I in for a ride. Most of their content and curriculum is YouTube videos, medium articles, and articles that come up on Google. By the way, yes, the articles WILL h...Ok guys, beware of Springboard. Most of their content and curriculum is YouTube videos, medium articles, and articles that come up on Google. By the way, yes, the articles WILL have grammar mistakes, misspelled content, and you will see content from 2003 that’s not relevant today. If you can force yourself to self-learn, please literally just pay for Udemy videos or watch YouTube videos, study other people’s case studies, and you will learn the process. Trust me.
I am sure that not all of them are, but I am pretty sure some of the mentors are literally found through Craigslist or under a rock. I was literally shocked when I looked up my first mentor’s portfolio—it was something I could put together in five minutes without any ui ux skills. That’s not an exaggeration. I guess we cannot expect that much from them since they are literally getting paid pennies, and, guess what, the good designers are out there creating products, not mentoring others.
The worst of it is that they literally charged my card when I already finished the course. Their employee told me my last payment date—it was paid. Yet, I wake up to another payment on the next month. Guess what?
