Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. I will recommend Springboard.com's Software Engineering Career Track to anyone interested in doing an SE bootcamp. One of the things that sets Springboard apart from other bootcamps is the mentorship program. My mentor was amazing – he was knowledgeable, supportive, and always had helpful feedback. He helped me to grow not only as a designer, but as a professional. The mock interviews and portfolio reviews were also incredibly helpful in preparing me for the job search.
The community aspect of the program was also a highlight. I was able to connect with other students in the program, and we formed study groups and supported each other throughout the course. The online platform is also user-friendly, with easy access to resources, assignments, and feedback.
Overall, I highly recommend the Springboard Bootcamp UX Designer class. Helpful career growth

Difficult, yet rewarding
Reasons I chose Springboard over other bootcamps is due to the structured curriculum, community, and the mentorship. It really prepared me for a lot of hands on projects and there was a lot of accountability involved. Outdated curriculum and lackluster support - Do NOT waste your money and time
I unfortunately had a very negative experience with Springboard . I signed up for the Boot Camp because I thought that the curriculum was very comprehensive in a way that some of the more expensive boot camps were not. Also, I was extremely excited by Springboard's industry, design project, or IDP. This is advertised as a final project where students work in groups and are matched up with a company to complete real world UX design/research work. First of all to touch up on the curriculum...I unfortunately had a very negative experience with Springboard . I signed up for the Boot Camp because I thought that the curriculum was very comprehensive in a way that some of the more expensive boot camps were not. Also, I was extremely excited by Springboard's industry, design project, or IDP. This is advertised as a final project where students work in groups and are matched up with a company to complete real world UX design/research work. First of all to touch up on the curriculum, for course that is for the most part built upon articles from the Internet, the fact that there are still lingering resources from 2015 and even earlier is appalling. The field of UX is evolving every single day so the fact that this is an oversight in the curriculum is appalling. Also, the course provided no resources to learn Figma, which is hilarious in 2022, they only provided resources to learn Sketch, and XD. It is not even an argument at this point that Figma is the industry standard. I learned Figma on my own through a Udemy course. I did not like either of the mentors that I was matched with in the program. They provided extremely inadequate support and took forever to grade my assignments, which arguably pushed up my graduation date. The industry design project was a complete bust, I was matched up with what can only be described as a marketing consultant in Canada, that was looking to add a small feature to her website and would not entertain any more fixes, even though her website was a disaster from a UX perspective. NOT a company or organization....When I asked to be rematched, I was discouraged from doing so. Eventually, I just dropped out and didn't finish my IDP which was allowed since I was not eligible for the job guarantee, knowing that I had done enough freelance work outside of Springboard to make up for this. In Depth and Interesting
This programs is a lot of information, and it tells you that. It's really video focused which I liked and didn't like just because I get bored quickly. The videos and assignments do go over a really broad range of topics and they definitely check for understanding through the use of mentors. Overall I really liked this program, I think I got my money's work in experience and education. Well structured learning experience for Software Engineering Career Track

Best decision in a long time
This program was great. It was easy to access the resources. The self-pace was perfect for a working wife and mom of two. The community was so supportive.
The only issue I had was a couple of the trainings were done by presenters with thick accents, and the subtitles weren't always accurate, which got a little confusing. All in all, I'm so glad I took the leap, and especially glad I chose Springboard. I can't wait to get into a new job, and I know I'm ready thanks to the Springboard ...This program was great. Springboard stood out to me over all the other bootcamps since there are 4 in-depth portfolio projects, and one of them has you work with a real client. You are guided into creating your portfolio which is the most valuable tangible thing that I got out of Springboard. My mentor was great, and Springboard took care of any problems I had. Path to a career
After finishing the course I can say with confidence it was 100% worth it. I went in very new to the software engineering field but I’m coming at with so much knowledge. Springboard is great if you are willing to put in the work
If you are considering a bootcamp as your path into UX here is what I would take into consideration. What is your learning style? What sort of support do you need? As far as learning style goes you need to be able to self teach and pace. The curriculum is set up where you work independently for a week on reading articles wat...If you are considering a bootcamp as your path into UX here is what I would take into consideration. What is your learning style? What sort of support do you need? How much time can you realistically commit to your course? Why do you want to transition into UX? How does your previous job (or school) experience relate to UX?
As far as learning style goes you need to be able to self teach and pace. The curriculum is set up where you work independently for a week on reading articles watching videos and acquring knowledge that way and then applying it to the best of your ability in the form of a deliverable or project. You have access to their student community and their network of hiring professionals and most importantly you have a 30 minute meeting with a mentor once a week. For me meeting with my mentor was the most important factor. My mentor was absolutely amazing, he pushed me to be the best that I could be in this course and I am so appreciative of that. It is important that you have a mentor that suits you. Do not be afraid to request a different mentor if you are not getting what you need. That being said the sooner you do this the better.
As far as support my mentor was really all I felt I needed but there are plenty of ways to get more support and in my experience any of the career coaches and hiring professionals and even senior level UX designers that you have access to throughout the course are very helpful and responsive.
TIME... How much time can you realistically spend on this course is a big question you should ask yourself upfront. If your job or outside school work is very demanding this also requires a significant amount of time attention and care. You cannot expect to skip and BS your way through this program. I recommend putting time on your calendar that you intend to dedicate to the course. This could help you stay focused and finish on time.
If you only want to transition into UX for the money this course will likely be quite difficult or cumbersome to you. UX is a very empathetic creative and thoughtful field. You will need the passion behind your why to really push you through when you are having a hard time or feeling unsure. Also there is no magic besides hard work that will get you a 6 figure job at the end of it. So you will get out of this exactly the work you put into it. If you want a 6 figure job work like a 6 figure worker at this.
Start thinking now about how your current experience and background relates to UX. Did you work in sales or customer service? A background in Psychology? The skills you have gained in your previous experience are not for nothing using them to your advantage and being trying to leverage what you already know.
