SheCodes is a technical skill training provider for women offering online, hands-on coding workshops and a self-paced Professional Developer Bootcamp. The workshops and bootcamp are flexible and designed to fit around a student’s schedule, moving away from traditional, rigid learning methods. The bootcamp curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, OOP, AI, and more. The workshops cover how to effectively communicate with developers, how to become a front end developer, advanced Python skills, and how to break into tech. Students learn through bite-size lessons followed by practical challenges to reinforce their learning. Each week, professional developers review homework assignments. At the end of each workshop, students will build real-life projects like websites and web applications to add to their professional portfolio and impress future employers.
All of SheCodes workshops are beginner-friendly and self-paced. Women of any age are welcome to enroll. There are various packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
At SheCodes, students have access to an online community of 200,000 women technologists. Students who complete the Professional Developer Bootcamp will receive a Verified Diploma upon graduation.

I wasn't sure what to expect having never coded before and I must say I was totally happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend the SheCodes Workshop to anyone who's interested in learning the basics of coding. I've tried multiple self-paced learning platforms in the past, without succeeding, due to a lack of time constraints and accountability. The workshop format, was easy to balance with my full-time role but I also knew that I had weekly deadlines to meet, so that helped me prioritise my time accordingly. 🤓 The format of the lessons is short enough to keep you focused.
🚆 You can speed or slow down the pace of the speech in the lessons.
🥳 There are small challenges at almost every lesson which are made in a fun way.
👩💻 You can just copy their examples, so you don't need to spend time on the creative design of a project if you don't want to.
📞The team is very responsive on Slack and helping you with technical as well as admin questions.
It took me longer than recommended to finish my project because I was too busy, but the team still reviewed my assessment and supported me.

I then went on to do the workshop. Comfy introduction to cody
I would recommend SheCodes Intro Workshop to beginners with no previous programming experience who want to take their first step into the world of coding. For me it was a nice introduction that made me feel at ease with the idea of starting to learn how to code! It was a first step of a long journey that I feel confident embarking on thanks to Matt's creating a well-structured and reassuring learning environment.
