I have loved my time at Nucamp.  I have learned a lot, it was the perfect scenario for me.  Couldn't afford to take time off to do a traditional bootcamp and was able to work on my schedule but still had the accountability of Saturday Workshops to keep me on track.  I highly recommend Nucamp if you want a flexible, affordable way to learn coding. I chose Nucamp because it was manageable with a full time work schedule, and I was able to complete a majority of of it during the winter months while my regular work schedule isn't too hectic. I enjoyed it enough that I would consider going back for the Python course next winter. I recently enrolled in Nucamp Coding Bootcamp, and I'm pleased with my decision so far. Nucamp was an opportunity for me to change careers and still have the time to be a stay at home parent while I did it. The program is challenging enough to engage and learn a vast array of new skills and build a portfolio of projects enabling you to succeed. It is also well priced and there are financing options available. I did the full software engineering path which goes through the fundamentals of web development(HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Backend(Python, SQL, and DevOps), and Full-Stack Web and Mobile Development(Bootstrap, React, React Native, Node.js with Mongodb). Nucamp is the best bootcamp! Good with time, Contents are great!, Instructors are perfect 10/10. This course boosted my knowledge in Python by a lot. I had a great time at the coding bootcamp I went to. The instructors were knowledgeable, understanding, and interesting, and the program was thoughtfully created. The bootcamp was especially well suited for those who were new to programming and wanted to learn the fundamentals of Python.

The bootcamp's system allowed me to learn at my own pace, which was one of the things I liked about it. I had plenty of chances to work independently and put what I had learned into practice, but the instructors were always accessible to answer questions and offer guidance. My comprehension of the subject matter was solidified by the program's well-balanced mix of lectures, practical exercises, and projects that were applicable in the real world.

When I decided to enroll in a coding bootcamp, I did a lot of research to find the best program for me. I wanted a curriculum that was practical and hands-on, and that would provide me with the skills I needed to start a career in software development. That's why I ultimately chose Nucamp. 

From the moment I started the program, I was impressed by the quality of the online materials and the expertise of the instructors. The curriculum was well-organized and easy to follow, and the instructors were always available to answer questions and provide guidance. Even though the program was part-time, I felt like I was making steady progress each week and was always excited to learn more. 

One of the things that really stood out to me about Nucamp was the sense of community and support that I received. The peer-to-peer learning environment was great for collaboration and teamwork, and the weekly online meetups and coding challenges helped me stay motivated and engaged. I also appreciated the support that I received from the Nucamp staff, who were always willing to help with any issues that came up.

I have been out of school for over two decades and in the service industry. Looking for ways to change my career were all 5+ years of school and 30-80k in funds. Some wanted 20% of my salary after I got a job in the field. NuCamp to end up with the same certificates, and what we want is a foot in the door, costs 6k with all the bells and whistles. I feel that there is a community that will help me with whatever my needs in the future and in 6 months will have the same if not better hold of the job field when I am finished from instructors that are actively working currently and sharing this knowledge. After reviewing countless bootcamps out there, I decided to dive head first into Nucamp's Complete Software Engineering Path. It offers deferred payments for a year, the pricing is undeniably the best and fairest tuition rate I've come across, and their flexible schedule allowed me to work my 40+ hour job during the week. 

I just completed the first sub-bootcamp (of the path I'm on) of Web Development Fundamentals and I'm so grateful to have made this choice. My instructor was amazing (Shout out to Mohamed), and the course content was decently paced. But if you miss a day or two of the daily recommendation of dedicated time to code, then you definitely feel it. Try to maintain your steady pace throughout the week to prevent burnout if you're working as much as me. The 4 hour lecture/workshop on the weekends were so helpful!

Obviously you're not going to become an expert just after these 4 weeks but I went in not knowing how to navigate HTML, CSS and Javascript at all and now, well, I feel comfortable with them, and they're not as intimidating as they once seemed. I can't wait to dive-in to the Backend, SQL, and DevOps with Python bootcamp in a couple weeks! Read less

I joined the Web Dev course because: 1) I wanted to learn how to code on a flexible schedule while still working, 2) I wanted to have live instruction/workshops, and 3) I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I did have some previous knowledge of HTML/CSS before joining, but as someone who didn't have much experience in Javascript, it got pretty intense for me during Week 3-4. I think this course gives you a good "feel" into coding and that it's OK to use resources to deepen your knowledge. I appreciated the career advice too. The video recorded lessons were kinda bland and monotone -- so my hope is that they make these more engaging in the future. Overall, it's a great value for the price. I learned a lot and plan to hone in on my JS skills before I enroll in the next Full Stack bootcamp. Read less

The Responsive with Bootstrap course was phenomal. I learned a graet deal and reviewed even more when it came to Javascript. The instructor Vic was great and answered any and all of my questions. The pacing wasn't too fast or too slow. The information felt overwhleming at times but with Vic, my instructor, I was able to break it down into bite sized pieces of information and digest or understand it better.  Read less

My experience with Nucamp has been mostly positive. Covering HTML and CSS in a weeks time felt a touch challenging, but not overwhelming. This began to change when we started covering JavaScript. I believe it was too much, too fast. With a bit more time, I'm confident I could get the hang of it, but time was a luxury I didn't have. 

One particular point of frustration (perhaps a compliment?) was while their video lectures were up to date in regards to modern coding practices, most websites that were refered to for extra studing were using outdated practices. This was even an issue when looking up videos on YouTube!

That being said, I found the final JS project to be quite daunting....If you have a part-time job, retired, or a Type-A personality that can perfectly balance day job/ school/ life, I would highly recomend this course. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest one get a solid grasp of JS on their own before enrolling.

I recently finished the Bootstrap section of the Full Stack Mobile Bootcamp at Nucamp. The course explains Bootstrap 4 and has several exercises and assignments to foster the concepts. But as all boot camps go, most of the learning is by you, courses can tell only so much. I enrolled in NuCamp because I wanted to start my journey of becoming a software engineer. I previously had experience in Graphic Arts and I've always wanted to learn the back end of things of how everything works on the computer. I never thought I could actually learn it for the sake of difficulty. The HTML, CSS, and JS course has provided me with enough knowledge that I feel comfortable enough to continue to move forward in this career. David was an amazing and helpful instructor. What led me to enroll in Nucamp was a recommendation for a bootcamp from a friend that's been a programmer for decades, after trying out and not enjoying college and trade school for programming. I felt that I wasn't being set on a path to help in a career that I wanted to do. I would learn the basics of Python, JavaScript, and Java, and it took me into learning JavaScript with HTML and CSS for me to discover that I might really enjoy front end development.

I saw Nucamp having a front-end development course and felt that was direction I needed to take for myself. The course in itself is a lot of work, having to learn a whole bunch of new concepts and coding practices, new libraries and how they function, and exercises and challenges to help understand the course material. Every Saturday you meet with your instructor and go over the course with them, before doing a workshop assignment with your peers to help put what you learned to the test. The instructors are also very honest on what to expect in the field, and has given me a bunch of resources to help hone my skills even after finishing the bootcamp.

The work I've done from Nucamp has paid off. I was always interesting in coding, but I have never felt this confident like I do now with JavaScript. I really enjoy this type of work, and feel its a lot easier for me now to help figure out problems I may have with my code, because I now have a much clearer understanding of troubleshooting code and how to implement the features I would like. I have learned a lot with Nucamp, and although there's still so much for me to learn master, I believe I have fundamentals needed to get started in my career. Read less

I have been doing alot of programming over the few years by myself.  But I have no idea how good I am or if I'm lacking.  I took this and quickly asked all my colleagues to join a team and got three or 4 to work with me and that has been the best part of the bootcamp for me.  Just getting to work with others rather than just working by myself has been HUGE.  Will definitely take again sometime soon!  Nucamp is extremely affordable to the level that I could take their courses continuously.  I am already a working in tech.  I'm a manager, though so I don't do hands on coding myself anymore, so this is great to keep my skills up.
