The curriculum was good, covered a wide range of topics. There were daily lectures followed by exercises for the first two months which was very helpful.   But the capstone project was disappointing. The partner company did not take the project seriously - their data science team went on vacation after our initial meeting and subsequent meetings were with different people each time who openly admitted this was not their area. As a result nobody cared about what we were doing. The bootcamp’s response to the situation was to encourage us to focus on making our final 6-minute presentation "fun".   I met some lovely people during the bootcamp and learning together was motivating. However, if you’re assigned to a capstone project similar to mine, the program becomes frustrating and difficult to justify given its substantial cost. Read less

It was a good experience to dive in IT world (especially web development) I was online student the TS are there to help (especially Julian) but i would say it is better suitable for onsite students in Zürich as they have access to TS the whole time+ no technical difficulties are present  Read less

I attended the Data Science Bootcamp remotely and in Munich in 2023. The teachers were great and the curriculum covered key topics in Machine Learning and AI using Python. I very much enjoyed working with "our" company on the hands on final project. Overall, I learned tremendously and had a great time. Finally, while I already had some related work experience, the Bootcamp definitely helped me landing a job as a Data Scientist. I fully recommend it! Read less

Very good Data Science Bootcamp. It was quite intense and we covered a vast number of topics in a quick time. Great for people wishing to change careers. TA were amazing and helped keeping us motivated when we got stuck. Finding a job as a graduate is still tough, but they provide a lot of support. Basic Python/Statistics: Fairly fast pace so having at least some prior knowledge will definetly help to give you an easier start. However some students in my class did not have prior knowledge but still managed to do it (with a little additional work).
Numpy/Pandas: Very insightful and slower pace compared to the previous block.
Machine Learning: Great blance between basic concepts, pitfalls and practical application.
Neural Networks/Computer Vision: Insightful and a comprehensive overview of developments in the field (Grad-CAM, Bayesian NN, Transfer Learning, Augmentation etc.). However, I personally did not enjoy tensorflow2 all that much and switched to PyTorch after the class.
Neural Networks/NLP: Good overview of a complex field.
Final Project: Propulsion receives many real-world projects from different companies which is great for students looking to find a job. However,  you might be assigned to a project that you're not super interested in (even though they obviously try to cater to your interests). If you happen to have any data to work on that really interests you, you can also work on one of your own projects during this time. I brought data that required a lot of domain knowledge in medicine, and while I therefore wasn't able to receive the helpful feedback from the instructors that other students got, working on a project during a short time frame, with a non-medical but very tech-savy classmate and then presenting it to a non-technical audience was a really important experience. 

Overall, I highly recommend it! Always 1 instructor + 2 teching assistants in the room and a lot of smart/driven students from different backgrounds. Read less

After 10+ years in the service sector, I started developed an interest in software and was looking for a ways to get started. I started with self-study, but after countless hours of battling through it all, I decided to join the 12-week full-stack program to give me a final kick to up my skills and break into the tech industry. This was a game-changing decision. Propulsion Academy’s fast paced learning environment and highly focused industry curriculum enabled me to cover a vast amount of ground that I would have not been able to cover on my own in such a short time frame. The teachers and staff were fully invested in ensuring that everyone got the most out of the program and created a very encouraging learning environment. Amazing course. My experience at Propulsion academy was as expected and provided me with a great jump-start into the world of Data Science. The course covers the most important concepts and tools one needs to practice and gain experience. After a hopeless job searching for half a year in Switzerland, I decided to take the 12-weeks data science Bootcamp at Propulsion Academy, which helped me to find my first Internship in Zurich. 

In the Bootcamp,  different experts with industry experience in data science area were invited to give courses, hands-on exercises were designed for a better understanding of the topics. Great chances were provided to build up your networking, which contributed to finding more possibilities for a job. Read less

The Data Science Bootcamp at Propulsion academy was the fast solution that I needed to catch up with the new technologies in the Data Science community, especially in machine learning and deep learning. It is also quite useful to get a certificate, which is quite required in Switzerland.
