While researching many Data Science bootcamps, most of them fully online, Constructor Academy stood out for its in-person offerings. After visiting them during one of their open-houses, I knew it was the right match for me. The instructors struck me as kind, approachable, passionate, and above all, knowledgeable. The application process was smooth and the preparation material helped establish a baseline with which to hit the ground running from day one. The curriculum is what you would expect for a high quality Data Science bootcamp in 2025 but I found it to be differentiated by the instructors, all of whom are clearly passionate about what they are teaching and all of whom were very knowledgeable and had plenty of first-hand insights on best-practices within industry. I was also pleasantly surprised by how smooth the interaction was with the colleagues who did join online due to geographical constraints and felt that they were right there with us the whole time. After an intense three months, the capstone project was a rewarding challenge to close the course with and am excited about my prospects after having acquired a new set of tools for my engineering toolbelt. The Bootcamp is an excellent place to start if you're a beginner looking for a comprehensive and well-structured introduction to full-stack web development. It's a very intense 3 months of learning with daily practice and some team projects. The instructors and assistants are always available and helpful. After studies in Economics and Statistics, I wanted to gain industry-relevant skills in current Machine Learning and Deep Learning and their implementation in Python to improve job market prospects. What convinced me to take Constructor Academy was the selection procedure before being admitted to the course, which was already much more demanding and serious than those of competing course providers. I chose the bootcamp at Constructor Academy for two main reasons: First, their emphasis on modern web technologies such as Javascript/React, Python/Django, Docker, and Gitlab CI; and second, its location in Zürich West, a dynamic part of modern Zurich that I was already familiar with from previous job experiences.

After spending several years in digital product management and leading teams of software engineers, UX designers, and product owners, I wanted to pivot and transition into a software engineering role myself. Undoubtedly, my prior experience in website development, experimentation with web technologies, and close collaboration with software engineers facilitated my engagement with the rigorous curriculum. I particularly appreciated the integration of lectures and hands-on exercises. Learning new concepts in the mornings and immediately applying them in practical exercises in the afternoons provided a sense of daily achievement and steady progress. The most rewarding aspect of the bootcamp was undoubtedly the group assignments, especially the final project (capstone project), where we honed our teamwork skills and successfully developed a nearly functional product from inception to completion in just three weeks. Additionally, the vibrant learning environment at the Zurich campus and the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds who shared a common passion added immense value to the experience.

I loved the Full-Stack Bootcamp of Constructor Academy Zurich. The curriculum is updated regularly to ensure that what you are learning is state of the art. Lecturers and teaching assistants are amazing. They really care about you making progress and I learned so much. The best thing about this course and what sets it apart from others is that they not only managed  to build a programme which provides lots of value, but they also built a wonderful supportive community and you will become part of it the moment you join. Staff, current and former students all support each other and enjoy time together. And this does not end after you graduated. You are still part of this community. The bootcamp provided me with a good insight and understanding Data Science. 
A university degree is not necessary if you have the proper understanding and are willing to go beyond your boundaries. 

The final project was a real good one as my team had to predict rainfall for specific areas. That is a hard task to do - and we, the team, novices made here a brilliant job as per the customer who provided us with this real world task.

When looking at different coding schools the technical focus of Constructor learning caught my eye. Their focus on the math behind the different ML techniques helps to later apply these new techniques. They have their own curriculum and outstanding teachers. There were 5 teachers, each specialized in their respective field and a background in math, statistics or related fields. They had the ability to clearly explain complicated topics. The TA's were helpful whenever questions arised and the final projects were interesting collaborations with companies.

The course is demanding, but it was a great learning environment. I would recommend the course everyone who is interested in these topics and wants to learn why these things work, instead of blindly applying them. After this course you know how this state of the art technology is working and you are able to properly use it. Read less

My experience with the coding bootcamp was exceptional, surpassing all expectations. The program provided me with an abundance of knowledge and skills that allowed me to create a complete web application from start to finish. Prior to enrolling in the bootcamp, my knowledge was limited, but now I feel confident in my abilities as a developer.


Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to work on numerous projects, which gave me hands-on experience and reinforced the concepts I learned in class. The instructors and staff were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to assist me when I had questions or needed help.

I come from a finance / economics background and decided to enrol in the part time Data-Science Bootcamp in 2022. The overall experience was quite positive and I must say that the bootcamp transformed my knowledge in the field. The bootcamp hit the mark on so many points but more specifically on:
1. Adapting to online style: For me it was during pandemic lock down. The team was very well prepared to manage the remote setting. Everything was clear and organised and on time. Of course a few glitches here and there but nothing that hindered the productivity of the classes.
2. The curriculum is well structured and thought through. It starts relatively slow laying down the basics then ramping up speed by the second half of the course. I must also say that I was impressed they covered some DevOps and database management topics something often neglected in Data Science courses
3. The level of instructors is quite high. Very knowledgeable on the practical as well as the theoretical parts and are able to answer questions and give deep insights on the fly. Assistants are quite helpful, equally knowledgeable and worked tirelessly with us whenever we had issues.
4. Last but not least, you can really feel the passion for the topic from everybody involved. It doesn't feel like a packaged one size fits all kind of courses which was my main concern before enrolling.

I would like to point out that although the course starts somehow slow but it really ramps up fast by the second half of the course. If you really want to get the most out of it, not only do you need to be prepared to put in the effort but I also recommend that you prepare well before you start. At the very least you need to have good grips on Python programming, and understanding of statistical analysis. I also encourage (although not essential) to get acquainted to some practical degree about some of the topics around machine learning and deep learning. Read less

I participated in the Data Science Full-Time bootcamp, and despite all the fear and hesitation because of my low level coding skills it was by far the best step I took to improve them and more. I definitely learned more than I anticipated in the course of 3 months AND from no chance of finding a job in a new country to having a new door of possibilities open for me.I would like to address the most important aspects of this bootcamp:The Curriculum:In order to be accepted one must pass a technical interview. I was very happy when I was sent the materials that will be covered during the interview, practice as much as possible especially as a python beginner. After getting accepted and before the bootcamp begins I've received preparation material for the bootcamp which included statistics, math, git and coding exercises. The pre-work was constructed in notebooks which contained thorough explanations and accompanied with videos, articles and book recommendations not only to expand our knowledge in these subjects but also to brush up on things I’ve learned during university (which was long ago, longer than I wish to admit). The pre-work was a vital step to begin the bootcamp with more confidence. During the bootcamp I must say, it was tough but by all means worth it. I am still amazed how much I learned. The days are basically lectures until 12 (maximum until 14 - depending on the subject) and then practicing what we learned until 18. This structure made sure we understood the material that we learned and proved that programming skills are gained best by doing. The topics were very comprehensive and included many subjects to ignite the data science career as well as preparation for interviews. It consisted of programming tool kits, visualization, statistics, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, SQL and machine learning engineering. One of the best parts is that it included a number of group challenges after each major topic that helped us practice our knowledge and work in a team.During the bootcamp and especially during the group challenges we also learn how to present our results not only to data science experts but also to those who do not have such experience which will be handy in the future.Point for improvement: practice more statistics.Instructors:Probably what makes this bootcamp special, great instructors with lots of experience in the field. I have to give a shout out to Dipanjan Sarkar, our machine learning, deep learning and NLP lecturer, one of the best teachers I've had. Throughout the bootcamp we get the support of a teaching assistant to consult us when we encounter challenging problems, the bootcamp encourages us to try our best to solve our coding problems which is great practice for the future. The last month of the bootcamp is a capstone project done in collaboration with companies tackling real world data and business problems. Bootcamp lecturers are supervising these projects and support us in the process. These are a couple of intense weeks practicing our skills, participating in company meetings, planning a data science project, communicating about the problems and solving them together. To sum it up, I had a great experience and finished the bootcamp with a new passion for programming and data analysis.  Read less

I was working for architecture studios for almost 14 years until i had to admit that i wasn't happy with my former job. Because of this, I decided to do a career shift and saw the opportunity to start with SIT Academy. I had some coding experience before starting the bootcamp but it was still exciting and challenging. You just have to really trust the process of their program. Teachers and staff are really nice, friendly and approachable. They also have a very well organized strategy for your learning, precise schedule, very useful resources that you will have access to even after you graduate. They also organize some educational events & bonding time with beers and snacks almost every Friday. To sum it up, I had a great experience with SIT Academy. This bootcamp gave me the opportunity to put my hands into the current technologies in the market of Full Stack software development. At the same time, it served to enhance my chances in the labor market and eventually helped me land a job two months after graduating. 

I realized the quality of the materials and hands-on experience gained in this bootcamp while on interviews during the job hunt. 

Furthermore, SIT Academy supported me effectively with assistance when preparing for my interviews and provided me with useful tools to make my applications more systematic and easy to follow.

Enrolling in the Data Science Bootcamp was a great decision to kick start my career change from academic sciences into the finance industry. 
The instructors and the course structure made it easy to go from beginner to advanced topics within 3 months, with enough flexibility to adapt the exercises or projects to our own expectations. The courses are really state-of-the-art, both technically and from a business perspective, with topics such as trustworthy AI, data translation, etc... 

The atmosphere was very positive and supportive all the time, which is really precious to keep motivation up during the intense moments. Instructors were very available and ready to help. For the job search afterwards, we got a lot of support to prepare our applications, although the network is mainly centered on Zurich (which is awesome if you're looking for contacts in the area).

Overall, the Bootcamp exceeded all my expectations. I'm very grateful that I could start the career I was hoping for. I feel like I learned all the bases (and more) that I need in my current job as a Data Scientist, as well as the insights and perspective to understand business problems, and communicate meaningful results to my team and clients, but also bring some fresh ideas on the table. The Propulsion Data Science Bootcamp consists of an eight week long curriculum in class, typically with lectures or presentations focusing on certain data science aspects such as Machine Learning, Hypothesis Testing, Visualisation, Web Scraping, Feature Engineering, all of which you might encounter during your day to day data science job later on. The lectures are given by experts from the field working in a broad range of industries. 
The afternoon consists usually of solving exercises on the topic of the lecture, also some beyond the scope of the lectures in case you might be advanced on a certain topic already previously. Thus you can identify topics which you might still need to work on, or topics where you can dive a bit deeper into.
Lecture weeks are interleaved with 1 or 2 day long data challenges, also simulating a job application process. 

What I appreciated in particular was the 4-5 week long project with an industry partner. Having had no data science experience in a commercial setting previously, a project in a business environment allowed me to demonstrate to prospective employers that I can also explain findings to the business side of a company.

Concerning technical details the course focuses on python and to less extend on R, the course program is developed and reviewed continuously by the Propulsion team in order to keep up with current activities within the data science community. 

After the course has finished during the job application process team members are willing to assist you or train you in an interview like setting. Since Propulsion has been active for a couple of years by now within the Zurich area, a valuable alumni network exists already in Switzerland which you might benefit from in addition. Read less

I participated to the Applied Machine Learning Part-Time Bootcamp (online, 6-Weeks, 2 Evening sessions per week) and it was the best decision I've made by selecting this course over an MOOC at a known global provider. The curriculum was extremely comprehensive, covering everything from supervised and unsupervised learning, all the known models and their implementation, creating ML-Pipelines, cross-validation, model-tuning and even Automated ML and Explainable AI as well as model deployment in production.
The lectures were 3-hours long, consisting of a theoretical part, which was presented in an effective way, always with examples, but also giving the opportunity to learn about the statistical and mathematical background of the models and their evaluation. The theoretical part was followed by first an instructor-led and then an individual or group-based live coding session with an always available teaching assistance support. 
The lecturer was very well prepared, an expert in the field and the course was delivered in a concise way, always focusing on the "applied" side of machine learning, giving real-world examples and also mentioning the pitfalls of productive implementation and how these problems can be tackled.
The group size was around 10-12 participants, which also allowed to have limited Q&A rounds and one-to-one support during the live coding exercises.
The course was a compact version of the longer ML curriculum, which is part of their Data Science Bootcamp, therefore it sure had to pack a lot of material into the 6-week long course. Therefore sometimes there were less time for individual coding than it could have been, but still it didn't impact the overall learning experience.
Also with the project work, which had to be submitted at the end of the course, depending on the topic selection, a lot of the learnings could be put into practice.
I would definitely recommend this course to anybody who wants to have a comprehensive overview and good implementation examples with the possibility of real practice (not just limited, guided exercises) with support from experts in the field of ML. Read less

The Full-Stack boot camp at Propulsion delivered everything they promised. The curriculum was quite demanding and covered enough of all major parts of web development to enable me to create useful web applications and let them run. When I graduated I was not done learning about the technologies and tools but I had a solid basis to build on. Also, more importantly, through my final project, I got an internship as a software engineer. My experience at Propulsion allowed me to quickly getting up to speed with the (completely different) tech-stack at my new position and I got hired as Junior Software Engineer after the internship.
