Let me paint the picture: You’re broke, hungry for change, and desperate to claw your way into tech. So you sign up for Coding Temple because they promise a job or your money back, right? Wrong.

That guarantee? Riddled with conditions. Miss one check-in, take an extension, apply to the wrong kind of job? Boom—you’re out. No refund. No safety net.

But here’s the part that really stings:
I finish the course. I’m deep in the trenches—LinkedIn’s a war zone, Prentus is a digital graveyard, and every job gets 200+ applications in under 30 minutes. I’m exhausted. Depressed. Unseen.

And what do they tell me to do?
Post. More. Content.
“Keep building in public!”
“Share your wins!”
“Promote your journey!”

Let’s be honest—this isn’t community. It’s marketing.
You’re not building in public—you’re fueling their brand. You're a walking billboard with impostor syndrome. You’re tweeting while wondering if your alumni counselor even has a job themselves.

The people “supporting” you? Most of them are ex-students who didn’t land jobs either, now working back at Coding Temple. What does that tell you?

And it’s not just the vibe—it’s the structure.

You do all the work.
You promote them.
You navigate a collapsing job market.
And if you fail? They still win. You still pay.

This isn’t a pipeline into tech.
It’s a content farm fueled by desperation, disguised as opportunity.

Let me say what no one else here wants to admit out loud: Coding Temple is running a PR machine disguised as a bootcamp.

You’ll scroll through these glowing reviews and see phrases like “changed my life”, “supportive community”, or “learned so much.” Sounds wholesome, right? Ask those same reviewers one question:

Are you actually working in tech now?

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth: many of us were explicitly encouraged to leave glowing reviews—not after getting jobs, but during the bootcamp or right after finishing, when we were still broke, jobless, and holding onto hope like a security blanket.

They know how to weaponize vulnerability. They frame it like “Building In Public” but it’s just bootcamp-induced Stockholm Syndrome.

You’re told to post.
To celebrate your progress.
To keep the hype alive.
Meanwhile, behind the curtain:

The job market is a dystopian nightmare.
The instructors and job counselors? Mostly ex-students who never got jobs in the field.
The job guarantee is booby-trapped with fine print.

This was a great bootcamp and introduction into the realm of software engineering. I had a lot of support from instructors, including them reaching out weekly to just check in and see how I was doing. It was easy to schedule one-on-one time with an instructor and get personalized help. I have learned so much since starting the course and have a better skill set to continue my learning as a software engineer. The best part was the back-end specialization with Dylan Katina. He is a great instructor and I enjoyed the real-world application of everything. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to get into Software Engineering!

My name is Ashley and I am an alumni of coding temple. There are reviews that warn you aways from this institution because there is no job help, there is no support. Believe it. They give a resume temple this I found was oddly similar to one you you can get for free, and tell you to copy it but you are largely on your own.

Additionally, as having to participate in the flex program, I am supposed to have access to my materials. I don't and when I have brought this to their attention they have dodged me everytime and still have not given me access.

Go to udemy. You will save you money and learn valuable skills. 

I'll say that while there is quite a lot of information to digest, I don't believe that changes based on your bootcamp.  I had a ton of support, even though I was flex-based.  I recommend this style of coursework  for organized and driven students who don't require a live setting.   If you have any doubt, I would urge you to do the live setting.    That being said, if you know this is something you are interested in learning, and are able to stay well-organized in your time, there are plenty of instructors who are willing to help you in your journey!

I liked Coding Temple. I believe there is a lot of value in their program, and that they are always working to provide more value to their students. My favorite part about the program was their instructors - my first teacher Travis and specialization teacher Dylan. Sarah was great too, but we only had her the first week of class. I loved having classmates, and I enjoyed having the option to do stuff outside of class, time permitting, with the workshops, codewars problems, and whiteboards. 

Coding Temple is hard. You have to apply yourself. I would recommend being sure that you want to do it before making the commitment, because it’s a big one. I spent some time on freecodecamp everyday a couple months before deciding to sign up for class. There will be things that really test your patience and mental strength. You will spend long hours on the computer learning complicated things. I found it to be a lot of fun, even though sometimes it can be very frustrating and/or difficult. There were days where I seriously wanted to rip my hair out. Go into it with the expectation that you will have to learn to teach yourself things and investigate. You will spend time reading documentation and troubleshooting by yourself, but you will always be able to schedule a 1-on-1 or ask your classmates for help. 

I think the front end core section of the course could have been a bit better. That was the main thing that I struggled with, and why I chose backend as my specialty. I felt like I didn’t have enough time to dive into JavaScript and React like I was able to with Python. I am happy with my decision though. 

Coding Temple gave me the opportunity of my life. I've been interested in computers and development for years, until I met CT. They are a strong community with high values and knowledge. All the resources, material, and lessons itself are above and beyond on terms of quality. I grew my knowledge with them in a level that I couldn't imagine. The instructors, support and professionalism they have is unvaluable. They are more than a bootcamp and I am grateful for this opportunity. Thank you Coding Temple. 

I recently completed the frontend specialization at Coding Temple and had an outstanding experience. The curriculum was well-structured, covering everything from HTML and CSS to advanced JavaScript frameworks like React. The hands-on projects made learning practical and engaging.

A highlight was Cristian Sachs, our frontend instructor. Cristian’s deep knowledge and ability to simplify complex topics made the learning process smooth. He was always available for questions and provided valuable feedback, helping us improve continuously.

The support from the Coding Temple team and the collaborative community added to the positive experience. Their career services were exceptional, aiding in resume building, interview prep, and job placement. Thanks to Coding Temple and Cristian Sachs, I feel well-prepared for my career in frontend development. Highly recommend!

I recently completed a software engineering bootcamp at CodingTemple, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows that ultimately culminated in a rewarding journey.
Backend Core and Specialization with Dylan Katina The highlight of the program was undoubtedly the Backend Core and Specialization segments, taught by Dylan Katina. Dylan was an exceptional instructor who clearly dedicated significant time to preparing for each class. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he had a unique ability to make complex topics engaging and understandable. Dylan's thorough approach ensured that we grasped the core concepts and could apply them confidently in practical scenarios. His teaching made the backend specialization a highly enjoyable and valuable experience.

Frontend Core ExperienceThe Frontend Core portion of the bootcamp, however, was initially disappointing. Our first instructor, Shoha, struggled to meet the expectations set by the program. His lack of preparation and novice demeanor were evident, which impacted the quality of learning. Recognizing these issues, I brought my concerns to the Principal and Student Success Manager at CodingTemple. To their credit, they acted swiftly and within a couple of weeks, we were assigned a new instructor, Christian.
Transition to Christian Although Christian joined us in the final two weeks of the six-week program, his impact was immediate and positive. Much like Dylan, Christian was well-prepared, knowledgeable, and engaging. His teaching style resonated well with the class, and he significantly improved our understanding of the frontend technologies, even in the limited time he had.
Overall Experience Despite the initial hiccup with the frontend instruction, my overall experience at CodingTemple was positive. The swift response from the administration to address our concerns and the exceptional quality of teaching from Dylan and Christian reaffirmed my decision to join this bootcamp. I feel well-prepared to embark on my career in software engineering, thanks to the solid foundation and practical skills I gained from this program.

In conclusion, CodingTemple's software engineering bootcamp, with its strong backend instruction and responsive administration, is a commendable choice for aspiring developers. The presence of instructors like Dylan and Christian makes it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about a career in tech.

I participated in the flex software engineering course, I found it great and easy to jump into. Any issues I had, the staff was more than willing to address and find a solution as soon as possible. If you have never programmed at all, I would recommend taking the guided course versus the flex course as the flask and react sections were a little advance for me, as someone who has had previous programming experience. I will say the software engineering course is web based and not as much desktop application based as I thought. I would recommend this to friends and probably do this a lot earlier in life if I had known about it.

My experience with the Coding Temple Flex Program has been 10/10! The instructors are SO helpful and responsive. They have so much additional material to offer students who are stuck on certain concepts. I also have to give a special shoutout to Aften with Student Success. I started the program working full-time, in school (separately) part-time AND planning my wedding-- really poor planning on my part. She really helped eased my stress and gave me a glimpse of what was to come after crossing the finishing line!

I offer my unconditional and support for you all who want to study at coding temple. the curriculum is honestly designed to give you a deep understanding off all technologies and languages in a short period of time. You change your life in months ,not years. i choose a deferred tuition. Pay only after getting hired with monthly payment as low as $399, flexible learning, Portfolio based projects ,gain  hands on industry experience . thank you all my staffs, and special thank to Donovan  O' Linn for his assistance.
