Coding Temple

With no exaggeration, Coding Temple was the best professional decision of my life.

I completed the 10-week ASP.NET cohort. There is some assigned prework to be completed by the first day. DO THE WORK! Not only will it give you a sense of whether coding is something you enjoy doing, but it's also a courtesy to the rest of the students in your class. The pace of the class only gets faster, so if you feel that the prework is too much - the next 10 weeks will be very difficult. 

The .NET instructor is Joe, a guy with 10+ years of software development experience. He is a complete wealth of knowledge who is happy to help with any questions or problems you have. BUT, you have to ask him! You will learn everything you need to land a job as either a front- or back-end developer. The other instructors, Derek and Joel, are also very knowledgeable and happy to help out. Ripal will create a masterful resume for you and does great work bringing in recruiters and industry professionals. Everyone is incredibly friendly and wants to get you a job!

I can't stress this enough - you will get out of this class what you put in. If you are breezing through any particular subject, BUILD things with it. If you have difficulty, do as much research on your own as you can to find the answers before asking an instructor. W3Schools, StackOverflow, Google, and Youtube are your friends. Embrace the documentation. 

Ultimately, I can't recommend Coding Temple enough. If you're a career changer (like me) who wants a new professional direction to pursue, Coding Temple WILL arm you with the knowledge and opportunity you need. This is an amazing investment opportunity, but the return is entirely up to you.

I just move our from South Korea 1 year ago. when I moved, I decided to become a programmer. and I study by myself for 4months and try to apply to some company!

eh... as you know, I couldn't get any any any mail.

I didn't know what to do, so just research for this and I found here 'Coding Temple'

I started 2016. Dec and study really hard(hopefully I did) and it was hard! Because as you know learning programming is not easy, and I am Korean.. have a language barrier. but my wonderful teacher! 'Joe' helps me a lot. and not only him 'Derek' and 'Joel' and 'Ripal' they always find the answer and try to explain to me.

and now, I am working company as a front developer(I am so happy about this company). 

anyway, overall 'Coding Temple' will be a good choice for you if you want to become a programmer. but please don't forget this. you have to study a lot and prepare for the portfolio. it's not easy and the hardest thing is to apply to the company and get a job.

but again, Don't forget this. They always help you with getting a job.

I came into the program with some basic HTML knowledge, and what this program really does is it stacks the knowledge on top of each other where you can get to the point of building a static website, a website with functionality, and then building that back end so you can have a database and the website attached to it. The program is very well structured for you to be successful, and they have a very well calendar set up for you to go to events and things that will help you in the long run. This is definitely a challenge. But if you're willing to put in the time to problem solve these complex projects and accept that you're going to go a little crazy figuring out some of these things. Go ahead!

Coding Temple has taught me the necessary skills to become a software engineer, covering topics ranging from backend to frontend development in depth. The curriculum has introduced me to new, more advanced code writing while enhancing my prior knowledge. Instructors such as Yessica Sosa and Allen Ahmed are calm and informative, ready to answer any questions you have and guide you to the solution.

Taking off one star for errors in the specialization sections' lessons, there are missing parts of the code and sometimes incorrect instructions, requiring me to go outside the curriculum for explanations.

Overall, small errors in the course do not take away from the knowledge gained and the skills to change your career!

Coding Temple has been a great experience so far not, just in the expansive curriculum but with the live classes and community as well. With instructors like Yessica Sosa and Allen Ahmed that are amazing and very supportive while remaining realistic in their expectations of you to succeed. The amount of resources they supply is endless and very organized, even providing a guided student map to help you map out your workflow. This is not just your traditional learning, in the ever changing landscape of tech, they prepare you to step out into the real world job market. It's not just a course, its a journey and if you follow all the steps and requirements within 4 months and with no experience they will make you a full on developer.

I was routed to Coding Temple through an application I submitted on App Academy’s website. The first person who contacted me was Andy Enright, who represented Coding Temple in the admissions process. The experience was extremely negative: he constantly interrupted me while I tried to ask questions, and at the end of the call he hung up on me.I followed up with several emails to Coding Temple regarding this issue and also requested deletion of my personal data, but I never received a single response. Completely ignoring applicants who raise concerns is unacceptable for an organization that claims to prepare people for professional careers.Between the unprofessional admissions interaction and the lack of accountability or communication afterward, my trust in Coding Temple is very low. I cannot recommend this program based on my experience.

I'm a full-time college student who somehow does coding on the side. When I first enrolled, I thought I had made some huge mistake. I feel like most people would carefully consider a decision that could change their life. I sure didn't. The first few weeks were difficult for me, but I realize now that was probably mostly self-inflicted. Coding Temple is more than a learning course to complete; it's more like taking a journey on a pathway. It's personal for me, running deeply into every aspect of life. I know I'm a ranter, but just bear with me. Now, it's like I might actually have a chance at learning something I didn't think was possible for me. I can actually code! Seeing my progress, as slow as it is, is more than enough to keep me from giving up. I want to explore the possibility of technology and how it can change my life. I have already come into contact with wonderful people and experiences. What will happen next, I wonder?

The curriculum has been thoughtfully designed, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed working through each of the projects. Being able to work at my own pace, with all the necessary resources readily available, has made the learning experience both flexible and effective. Each project has provided a meaningful challenge and an excellent opportunity to benchmark my progress.What truly stands out, though, is the support from the instructors. Daniel Ezaro, Katelyn Mehren, Allan Ahmed, and Yessico Sosa have each played a key role in my success. Even though not all of them were my direct instructors, they’ve never hesitated to offer guidance, whether through one-on-one sessions, project feedback, or just being available when I needed help. It’s clear they’re not only experienced educators but also genuinely invested in student success—always maintaining a positive, encouraging presence while balancing teaching, workshops, and individual support.I'm grateful for their dedication and for the structure of the program that has allowed me to thrive.

This bootcamp was very helpful. My goal was to learn more about programming specifically backend and I now feel much more confident with those skills than I did prior to the bootcamp. I took the backend python specialization and Dylan was super helpful creating videos and hosting live classes that made it much easier to understand the content. The instructors are all very helpful and available to help almost anytime. The curriculum is well laid out and they are constantly evolving the bootcamp experience based off of surveys they offer to students. It is very clear that they want you to succeed and if you are willing to put in the work you will get lots out of it. There is also extensive career search help both during and after you complete the bootcamp.

Overall, this bootcamp has made a great impact on my learning journey. The hands-on projects have helped solidify my understanding of the material. The live sessions are especially valuable and feel like the cherry on top, offering real-time support and clarification that are key to success.What truly makes Coding Temple stand out is the quality of the instructors. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Yessica Sosa, Daniel Erazo, and Allan Ahmed; all of whom are very professional, well-trained, and capable of breaking down even the most complex topics. Their support and teaching styles have made a real difference.Two areas that could enhance the experience are the use of the Disco platform and the Career Department. Adding more structured content and resources to Disco would make it even more effective for self-paced learning during off hours. Additionally, I feel the Career Department could be improved, as the sessions sometimes feel unproductive and not as focused or impactful as the rest of the program. With a few adjustments, this part of the bootcamp could better match the high standards set by the instructional team.Thank you for providing such a meaningful and challenging learning experience.

Attending Coding Temple has been a great experience on my journey to becoming a software engineer. I'm close to graduation and feel well-prepared for the tech industry thanks to everything I’ve learned here.

Enrolling at Coding Temple was one of the best decisions I’ve made for taking my Software Engineering career to the next level.  The program is designed to take students from little or no coding background to becoming job-ready developers, and it does exactly that—efficiently and effectively.

The coursework at Coding Temple is structured to ensure students gain both fundamental and advanced coding knowledge. There was a change in the curriculum and course schedule a month into our cohort- that was an adjustment, but every module builds on the previous one, reinforcing essential skills while introducing new concepts at a manageable pace. Whether it’s front-end development, back-end programming, or mastering databases, each lesson is tailored to make sure students can apply what they learn in real-world scenarios. Coding Temple doesn’t just teach coding—it prepares students for the industry with hands-on projects, collaborative exercises, and interview preparation that ensures we graduate ready to land jobs.

The instructors are knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their students' success. Among them, one teacher stands out—Dylan Katina, who I had the privilege of learning from in the Backend Specialization. If every educator had Dylan’s passion for teaching, learning would be an incredibly fun and enriching experience for all. His ability to break down complex concepts into digestible lessons is unmatched, and his enthusiasm creates an engaging classroom environment. Dylan not only teaches code—he instills confidence, problem-solving skills, and the drive to keep pushing forward. His support made a world of difference in my journey, and I truly appreciate his impact, that will not be forgotten!

The journey at Coding Temple was fun, challenging, and rewarding. It wasn’t just about learning syntax and algorithms; it was about growth, resilience, and mastering the ability to think like a developer. Anyone looking for a coding bootcamp that will prepare them for the workforce while making the learning process enjoyable should look no further. Coding Temple provides the knowledge, the tools, and the community needed for success.

We do get assigned a career coach that will be helping us, and I have been getting initiated to that process having just fished the bootcamp. The accessibility has been an adjustment to me, for it has not been not the same experience as working with the instructors- but if, in the end, the result is landing a job with said assistance, I'll certainly be a happy camper!   I cannot rate Job Assistance yet to its full potential, but am happy to report back once I've complete my tech-residency- so I have to give it N/A for the time being.  The field as a whole within the job market is rather competitive, so anything to help stand out from the crowd is going to be essential to landing a job fresh out of a bootcamp.  This course is just the start of a career and journey into becoming a software developer- what one does with the knowledge and connections made during the course is up to you!  I'd suggest making all the connections possible, staying close with your classmates, and continue building projects regularly to add to your portfolio to show how capable of an engineer you truly are! 

I highly recommend Coding Temple to anyone considering a career in tech, and if you’re lucky enough to have Dylan Katina as your instructor, you’re in for a phenomenal learning experience.

I came in with zero coding knowledge and left confident in building and deploying my own full-stack apps.It definitely wasn’t easy, there were moments that tested my patience and brainpower, but the instructors were always there to support me.Big shoutout to Dylan, who was incredible on the backend side and all throughout the course. He had a knack for instantly spotting what was wrong with my code and never stopped pushing me to improve. And a huge thank you to Allan, who helped me lay a solid foundation and made the basics feel approachable from day one.If you’re willing to put in the work, it absolutely pays off. I’d recommend Coding Temple to anyone serious about starting a dev career. 💻🔥
