My experience taking the UX/UI Design Career Track course has been a long, but rewarding one. The coursework is essentially sources from online, which anyone can access. However, Springboard curriculum shines in that students are able to practice hands-on design skills through 4 portfolio projects, one of which you work with fellow design students and an industry client/ company. These projects are reviewed by hiring managers who give feedback for improvement. Additionally, the student is paired with a mentor that guides the student through learning the material and ideally, motivates them. Springboard's support team is great about getting back to you in a timely manner and making sure your questions are answered. I felt they tried their best to work with me on scheduling course extensions. For me, the biggest challenge with the framework of this curriculum is that it is self-study/paced. If you struggle with time management, this will likely be challenging for you. There is a student Slack channel where you can connect with other students to study together virtually, but other than that I'm not aware that there was any other way to find peer support till the final project. Overall, I think if your strengths lie in time management and consistency, taking this course would be great, especially if you are transitioning careers. The greatest value I found is 1) industry mentor, 2) hands on experience with the material and quality projects to add to your portfolio, and 3) working with an industry company. Negatives are the price and lack of peer community.

Springboard's UX design bootcamp was great, except for some hiccups. The mentors aren't all great and it's up to you to make a connection with them, so I would suggest requesting different ones if you don't feel it's a good match. You're kind of alone in this course and the Slack channel is kind of random and includes people from so many different cohorts, so it's not very organized and people just promote their projects. You should of course use it to get people to test your own capstone projects though! The student advisors aren't helpful unless you ask for help. If you are a procrastinator like me and require some accountability and goal setting, ask to be set up with a springboard advisor to give u a weekly call! The job guarantee is only for people who have prior job or ux design experience really, so if you don't get it, it doesn't feel like you are truly cared about or helped - maybe also because so many of the units are therefore optional. For example, all the career units will be optional if you are not eligible for the job guarantee.

The course was extremely organized and easy to navigate (user experience of their online platform - 5 stars!). It was challenging to power through the course since I was working at the sale time. But I felt supported by my mentor and the springboard team. There are office hours and additional resources..so if you put in the time and effort, you will gain a lot from this course. I started with 0 experience working in Healthcare and honestly I am not very tech savvy. But I feel much more equipped to jump into the field (still nervous though) because of the skills I've gained with the capstone projects. The only con is that it is a bit pricey.

I think that springboard helped me refine my design skills, given there were multiple projects and exercises to do. I learned a lot through application! Practice leads to improvement. One thing tho, I’d like to note that I think this bootcamp is good for 1) beginners (absolutely no experience in design) and 2) moderate/amateur (some design experience) as I think that the material and grading isn’t of the HIGHEST quality, I think it can be better. There are no live classes at all, there’s only 1 collaborative project, that is the IDP and most of the videos/content in the curriculum is outsourced and publicly available—though it was helpful, I think the price is pretty steep. As for my favorite things about it: mentorship and career coaches.

I’m really grateful for Springboard, and I had a really a solid experience with their UX bootcamp. The curriculum was thorough and made me feel prepared for a job in the field. My favorite aspect of their program was their mentorships and career coaches; I found this to be invaluable. Upon completion, I was able to secure a job within two months of finishing the program. I would recommend their bootcamp to anyone!

I recently completed the Springboard UX/UI Design course and the journey has been quite eventful, with a mix of positive aspects and areas for improvement.Pros:
Comprehensive Curriculum: The Springboard UX/UI Design curriculum is well-structured and covers a wide range of essential topics. From foundational design principles to advanced UX research methods, the materials provided are thorough and relevant to current industry standards.
Flexibility: The online format of the course allows for flexible learning, making it ideal for those with busy schedules or those who prefer self-paced study. This flexibility enabled me to balance my learning with other commitments effectively.
Career Services: One of the standout features of Springboard is its career services. My career coach, in particular, has been incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my success. Their guidance post-completion has been instrumental in boosting my confidence and helping me navigate the job market.
Networking Opportunities: Despite being an online course, I have found that my professional network has grown significantly. Interacting with peers and participating in community discussions has been invaluable in building connections within the design industry.
Understanding and Accommodation: During the course, I faced a family emergency that required me to take a break for about six months. Springboard was very understanding and accommodating, allowing me the necessary time to handle personal matters and then return to complete my studies without any added pressure.
Cons:
Mentorship Experience: My experience with mentorship was mixed. While my career coach was outstanding, my other mentor often provided feedback that felt scripted and rushed. There was a lack of genuine engagement and personalized advice, which was disappointing given the importance of mentorship in such a program.
Support and Engagement: Overall support could be improved. The lack of in-person interaction sometimes made it difficult to fully grasp certain concepts or feel entirely confident in my skills. I believe that in-person classes would have greatly enhanced my learning experience and made me feel more assured in my abilities.
Industry Design Project (IDP): For the price of the course, I believe that the Industry Design Project should be included for all students, regardless of whether they opt for the job guarantee. Completing the IDP after the coursework would have provided a more comprehensive and practical application of the skills learned, which I feel was a missed opportunity and should not exclude anyone from the job guarantee.
Job Guarantee Deadline: The deadline for the job guarantee should not be before the coursework end date, especially if an extension is applied. It is unfair to expect students to meet job search deadlines while still completing their coursework.
Course Pricing: Given that Springboard highlights their unique mentor support as a key feature of the program, I believe the course price should be significantly lower. My mentorship experience was not as noteworthy as advertised, which calls into question the value proposition of the current pricing.
Recommendation:Overall, I would recommend the Springboard UX/UI Design course to individuals who are comfortable with online learning and are looking for a flexible program that fits their schedule. The curriculum is solid, and the career services can be incredibly beneficial if you connect with the right coach. However, if in-person learning is crucial for your educational style, you might find this course lacking in that aspect. For those considering the course, weigh the pros and cons carefully. If the price tag is within your budget and you are an independent learner, this course can provide valuable skills and opportunities to advance your career in UX/UI design. However, be prepared for the possibility that mentorship and support might not always meet your expectations. In conclusion, while there are areas for improvement, my journey with Springboard has been largely positive, and I am grateful for the growth and opportunities it has afforded me.

The overall experience of enrolling in the Springboard bootcamp was good but at some point curriculum needs to be updated and the last month was tough! The mentoring system was really helpful and mentors have a strong background in the field so their feedback is really important. the fact that after graduation you still have access to a career coach feels supportive also.
Graduate 2024
Pros: sufficient support for disability related course timeline adjustments; able to switch mentors; industry project; helpful gradingCons: left to wonder if readings before 2020 are outdated; community slack is useful but wish there were more regular/fun events

The way the program is structured is great and they give you many opportunities to complete projects that can be featured on a portfolio and an opportunity to work with a real client before diving into a new job. The biggest downside is that it’s self paced so at times, when life can get busy, it can be difficult to keep up. Otherwise, all the mentors are great and its nice to be able to get real world experience.
Graduate 2024
I was switching from Graphic Design and Teaching to UX/UI and while I didn’t need another degree, I did need to learn UX/UI from industry professionals and get some portfolio work. I chose Springboard because it had a thorough curriculum, opportunities for networking and real-world projects. They also partner you with a mentor (which you can change if there’s not good chemistry there) you meet weekly during the course. There’s also chances to do ‘on-demand’ calls with career coaches and other mentors. Their curriculum had a lot of good material overall to help you prepare without the fluff you might find in a traditional degree. If you have a design background, it helps a lot. If you don’t, really make sure you have the time in the beginning to learn. They do provide small exercises with most units to help you apply what you learn, but finding opportunities outside of it to practice will help too. Be on top of your own learning—you’ll see why in the cons list:Some PROS: - Self-paced - Had a real-world project opportunity- Support was quick and helpful most of the time. - Regular mentorship and career coaching from people all over the world.some CONS: - Backend issues with their site at times. More than once my dashboard info (completion date or progress tracking) was not accurate and I had to reach out to fix it. Be on top of knowing what breaks or free extensions you take as well. I started screenshotting everything so if they messed up, I could refer back to those. - Billing. Had a few times where I was charged twice in one month. Always check to make sure there is no double charging. They got it taken care of right away, but after the second time, I wasn’t leaving anything to chance. - Not all mentors are the same; my first one was not very engaging in giving feedback so I ended up switching. If you are not clicking with your mentor, don’t be afraid to switch. After all, you’re paying for it and devoting time each week to get valuable feedback and mentorship.

I really liked studying at Springboard at UX/UI track. The program was very rich and professional, with lots of extra materials to dive into. My mentor was excellent and I am very grateful for her ongoing full support and recommendations. Only timing was very challenging for me, so I reco to have some extra time:)

I recently completed the UI/UX Design Career Track at Springboard, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering essential topics and providing opportunities to dive deeper into specific interests. Seriously, I have a whole library of books I’ve ordered that I can’t wait to read thanks to recommendations in the curriculum!Springboard’s mentorship program was really what stood out to me when I was looking into bootcamps, and it didn’t let me down. My mentors, Aida and Tatiana, were incredibly supportive and provided me with practical advice that helped me refine my skills and approach to design. Their friendly and empathetic approach made our interactions both enjoyable and productive, and I’m immensely grateful for their guidance.Springboard’s support staff also played a crucial role in my success. They were exceptionally understanding and accommodating, especially when my twins were born prematurely during my course and had to remain in the NICU for some time. Springboard offered me multiple course extensions, allowing me to focus on my family without worrying about the additional costs of completing my certification. Their empathy and flexibility were invaluable, making a significant impact on my ability to succeed in the program. As a result of the program and the Industry Design Project, I feel confident that I was able to build a robust portfolio and am hopeful it will help me find my dream job as a product designer. I really can’t recommend the Springboard UI/UX Design Career Track enough to anyone looking to transition into a design role.

The Springboard UX/UI Design Career Track offers a mixed experience for aspiring designers. While the mentorship component stands out as a significant highlight, providing personalized guidance and encouragement, the overall structure and content of the course leave much to be desired. One major drawback is the lack of structured teaching for essential UX/UI tools like Figma. Students are expected to learn these programs on their own, which can be quite challenging without formal instruction or dedicated resources. This gap in the curriculum can hinder the learning process, especially for beginners who might struggle to navigate these complex tools independently. The content of the course, though extensive, often feels disjointed and unorganized. The flow between topics lacks coherence, making it difficult to see the bigger picture and how different elements of UX/UI design integrate with each other. This scattershot approach can be frustrating and detract from the overall learning experience. However, the industry design project included in the curriculum is a standout feature. This project provides practical, hands-on experience that is invaluable for students. Working on real-world problems helps to cement theoretical knowledge and develop a portfolio that can impress potential employers.Despite these positives, the inconsistencies in content delivery and the lack of structured tool instruction ultimately impact the program’s effectiveness. The mentorship and practical projects are strong points, but they are not enough to fully compensate for the course’s shortcomings. Overall, I would rate the Springboard UX/UI Design Career Track a 6/10, reflecting a program with potential that requires significant improvements to better serve its students.

I recently completed the UI/UX design bootcamp with Springboard, and overall, it was a rewarding experience. Despite my background in design, I found the curriculum well-curated for both beginners and experienced individuals. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering everything from the fundamentals of design principles to the latest industry tools and trends. The online platform was user-friendly and well-organized, making it easy to access course materials and communicate with instructors and peers. The hands-on projects were particularly enlightening, allowing me to apply new skills effectively. I especially enjoyed the Industrial Design Project with Springboard peer members; it boosted my confidence and helped me discover areas for improvement. However, There were a few areas where I felt the program could improve. The pacing of some lessons felt rushed, taking more time than expected for me to fully grasp the concepts.Overall, I highly recommend Springboard's UI/UX design bootcamp for anyone looking to break into the field or advance their skills. With a solid curriculum, hands-on projects, and supportive mentors, it provides a strong foundation for a career in UI/UX design.

Having recently completed Springboard's UI/UX Design program, I can confidently say it was an enriching experience overall. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the people I had the opportunity to connect with, especially my mentor, who demonstrated genuine care and expertise throughout the journey. Their guidance was invaluable, and I feel fortunate to have been matched with such a supportive individual.
The curriculum provided a solid foundation in UI/UX design principles, equipping me with the necessary skills to tackle real-world challenges. However, one area for improvement could be the currency of the content. While the program covered essential concepts, incorporating more up-to-date technological advancements would have enhanced its relevance in today's rapidly evolving landscape.
Despite this, I emerged from the program with a deeper understanding of UI/UX design and a newfound confidence in my abilities. I would highly recommend Springboard's UI/UX Design program to anyone looking to embark on a career in this field.

I recently completed the UI/UX Design Career Track with Springboard, and it was a good experience overall. Springboard is a great way to transition careers. The mentorship they offer is really helpful as well as the IDP (internship that links you with a real company to get on the job experience). Nice to perform at your own pace - they are generous with extensions and support.
Graduate 2024
Springboard is a really good bootcamp. The mentors and career coaches are great. My only complaint is that a lot of the course materials are links to websites that a person could access for free. But the access to industry professionals and career advisors makes up for that.
