I enrolled in Springboard's UI/UX Design Career Track after spending a year debating which Bootcamp to attend and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I ultimately decided to attend Springboard because of their mentorship program, which pairs students with a one on one mentor who has worked in-field for at least three years. The combination of mentor support and the asynchronous curriculum worked really well for me. It allowed me to complete the curriculum on my own schedule while still having the structure and support of a professional, and having the personal mentor relationship helped so much when it came to insight into MY personal learning process. I was really impressed by the career curriculum. I had been a little weary about the career focused aspect of a bootcamp, but the material and career coaching was very in-depth and genuinely reflected the tech industry. I highly recommend Springboard both for absolute beginners and folks who have a little bit more experience coming in.

I just completed my UI/UX Design Career Track cert. Set to complete in 9 months but I finished in 11 months. Taking on this course is a lot of work but it is worth it if you are seriously looking to make a meaningful career change. The curriculum is in-depth and aligns with what most designers talk about online. I can confidently say I understand the process of designing a solution and the research that goes into it. The mentorship is what really stands out about this boot camp as opposed to others. I also have a job guarantee that I hope will help put me in a wonderful role.

Overall, the course was great and left me feeling prepared for a career in UX/UI design. What I really liked about the course was the mentorship, the student support, the internship project (IDP) and the career services. The course was expensive but the job guarantee has made me confident that it was well worth the price.

Overall a good course. The curriculum is excellent with some great reads and projects to do along the way.But in my experience the mentor support and case study reviewers can be very hit or miss. Some weeks great and others not showing up.

Springboard was an enjoyable experience for me. It had good/fun assignments. The curriculum needs to undergo some updating, but the mentors are great and keep you in the know. The career services is pretty nice too. Only negative for me really is that they need to do more in depth background checks on the companies they partner with for the Industry Design Project.

Overall, it was a good experience, especially, while having a full-time job. The best resource Springboard provided was my mentor. Mentors can explain concepts and processes more in-depth. However, learning UI and Figma is almost nonexistent. You will have to rely on Youtube for that and commit to doing your own research outside of the curriculum.

Overall experience was okay, but I would recommend paying monthly and then finishing up early to save costs. Curriculum was mostly videos and articles (like on medium) that you could have self-studied. However, I did appreciate the three projects and the Industry Design Project. If I had one gripe is that because the market is so oversaturated almost every other portfolio has a "Citypups" design sprint. I would have rather done another capstone that would then be unique to me. Mentorship is great if you have a good mentor! I did, but if you join the program and you get a mentor that is just like "Mmmhmm yep looks good" then you aren't getting the best experience and you should try and change that. Overall, while I didn't have a job by the end of the program I don't regret doing it.

I found the Springboard curriculum to be well organized and its self paced too. I could easily manage study time in between my work days. Student support, career support, weekly mentor calls, office hours, on-demand 1:1 mentor calls have been great. Course materials, Capstone projects and Industry Design Project let me prepare for my career in UI/UX Design.

This program was really helpful for anyone beginning a career change! The overall support from mentors and other advisors was greatly appreciated. There was a lot of great projects and content for those who are trying to learn how the design processes. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Ok guys, beware of Springboard. I don’t want anyone to make the same mistake that I did. I am about to graduate their UI UX course and let me tell you, it has been an absolute disaster. I really expected great things from them. In the beginning, I would literally even reply to “advisor” “how are you” email blasts. But, boy was I in for a ride. Most of their content and curriculum is YouTube videos, medium articles, and articles that come up on Google. By the way, yes, the articles WILL have grammar mistakes, misspelled content, and you will see content from 2003 that’s not relevant today. If you can force yourself to self-learn, please literally just pay for Udemy videos or watch YouTube videos, study other people’s case studies, and you will learn the process. Trust me.I am sure that not all of them are, but I am pretty sure some of the mentors are literally found through Craigslist or under a rock. I was literally shocked when I looked up my first mentor’s portfolio—it was something I could put together in five minutes without any ui ux skills. That’s not an exaggeration. I guess we cannot expect that much from them since they are literally getting paid pennies, and, guess what, the good designers are out there creating products, not mentoring others. The worst of it is that they literally charged my card when I already finished the course. Their employee told me my last payment date—it was paid. Yet, I wake up to another payment on the next month. Guess what? It takes them three weeks to process a refund.

Springboard was a fantastic way to learn UX/UI design at my own pace. You have the opportunity to connect with career coaches and mentors as much as you need to. You also complete 4 big projects that are used as your portfolio when you are finished with the program.

Springboard is an excellently curated program for people who are motivated enough to learn independently. It's true that a lot of the material can be found for free online, but there's so much information online that it would be hard to curate only high quality materials as they have. There was one part of the course that was a learn along video mini course, and there were a few challenges like this as well. I wish they would incorporate more of those, as most of the material is article reading. If you're a distracted reader, this can be a challenging, frustrating way to learn. But they are also really great about making you practice the new things you learn, so you're actively doing UX/UI work from very early on instead of just consuming information. My mentor was incredible and helped me grow tremendously. The career coaches are great too, and my internship was such an impactful thing for my career. I learned a ton and really felt like I was working in the field - collaborating with other UX researchers and presenting to stakeholders. I would definitely recommend this course to people who are diligent and can manage a self-paced, independent curriculum. I would have liked it more if there had been more collaboration with other students peppered throughout the course, instead of just at the end. And of course having professors would be ideal. But all in all, I felt the content I learned was top of the line, relevant, up to date information that left me with a competitive edge for my new career. I'm very happy with what I got out of it and felt the material was very in-depth, just as I had hoped.

Good: I had UX UI Design knowledge from reading books and watching Youtube videos but I was still confused, not knowing how to fit the puzzle. After joining Springboard and following the curriculum, a light bulb lit and the puzzle was complete in 1 year for me, for others it was 6months and to some it was 9months depending on your speed - the course is self-paced. This makes me happy. Bad: It was not made clear to me that "Job Guarantee" does not mean you will be served a job on a plater of gold after course completion - that's what I thought it meant. No, job guarantee. according to them is, after graduation, if you do not secure a job, your money will be refunded. Upon graduation, I soon realize, I was the one to search for jobs and make connection. This makes me sad. Finally, the instructions were information overload. It is like intertwined thread - sometimes directing and redirecting you to other places, with hyperlink to other documents, it is overwhelming. It should be straight-forward without any hyperlink to other documentation which makes confusing and overwhelming.

Springboard UI/UX design track was a very fulfilling and mind-blowing experience. I started this course to have a career change, and It provided me with so much in-depth information to be successful in this career. I started without experience creating a beautiful portfolio with four different case studies. I finished this course in a year more than it says in the course. The course provides multiple pauses and breaks if you feel overwhelmed and have family emergencies. I took breaks and paused whenever I felt I needed a break. It provides support throughout my course with mentors, career coach calls, advisor calls, and even provide office hours. My mentor helped me with all my design problems and was there for me when I was stuck. My advisor was my support system for my mental health. She helped me create tools for me to build healthy habits and time-management skills. It was a wonderful experience and Literally changed my life.

Best experience could have had! Mentors, hiring managers, student support, career services and everyone are professional and knowledgeable. Springboard has the whole system down! From start to finish you are supported and taught everything you need to start a career.

The best part of this program for me was the mentorship. The curriculum is definitely something you could learn on your own just by seeking the information online. Being able to get feedback from my mentor was incredibly helpful and he asked questions that allowed me to start thinking like a designer. I wish they had more industry design projects since the one thing that I was told in interviews was that I had a “good design eye” but lacked experience. My career coach was also great in helping me set myself apart in interviews. The info I got from her definitely helped me land my first job.

Springboard is a great schooling experience for self starters who are looking for career advancement. Everyone I spoke with whether it be a mentor, advisor or job coach approached their job with passion and empathy and excitement for my design and growth.

I loved my experience with Springboard. It helped me pivot my career and land me a job in UX within one month of graduating the course. I was working full-time while completing the course and it took me one year in total. My mentor Mirela was incredible, always boosted my confidence and imposter syndrome, and my many career coaches along the way were so helpful in teaching me strategies to interview, negotiate for a higher pay, and were overall just very affirming and resourceful. I will say that landing a job so quickly I believe was majorly in part due to my background in art, experience in graphic design, and digital design already. Learning UI was a breeze for me because I already had a lot of experience in fine art. UX was a bit harder but the course helped me learn a lot of concepts quickly and efficiently. The Springboard platform (which I believe was powered by Duolingo) was so well-designed and naturally had great UX. My only critique was that a lot of the resources were already available Youtube videos. I think the mentor and career coaching program, Capstone projects, and assignments, were more valuable than the course material itself. I think for the high cost of the program, Springboard could have created more of their own teachings. Still, it was completely worth it because I tripled my salary within one year and got a senior title in UX within a year and a half!

I finished the UX/UI bootcamp last year, and had a really positive experience throughout. My mentor and other staff connections were very helpful and informative. The content was easily digestible and I saw them continuously improving upon the program experience throughout the duration of my course. Springboard does a good job bringing the educational foundation to students and provides an opportunity to use that education in a real world setting (namely though the IDP). I had an abundance of support throughout my program, and felt as prepared as possible bringing what I learned to my current UX role which has been a successful journey.
Graduate 2022
I had a great experience with Springboard. I was stuck between Springboard Vs. Design lab when I was choosing which bootcamp to work with and decided on Springboard because they offered weekly mentorship, real life experience (industry project) you work with for 4 weeks, and excellent communication with the career help/advising. For anyone who is switching careers or looking to find a good program I would definitely recommend Springboard. I enjoyed the mentorship. The challenging part was to keep track of your time if you're working full time. I ended up quitting my job because it was too much for me and finished a little bit over a year. You also have to learn a lot of the tools on your own like Figma or your portfolio. Everything was intuitive and I enjoyed the process. I'm only giving job support 3 stars because i'm just starting my post completion and won't know how it'll end up.
