SheCodes Basics

I’m so happy that I 3 weeks ago decided to take courses at SheCodes. I tried some different online coding courses before, but it didn’t work for me, I spend a lot of time, but by the end I could not code by myself. Look at me now, just 3 weeks at SheCode and I already can code my own webpage. The whole platform at SheCode is so userfriendly and Matt is a really good teacher, who explains every toppic very understandable. I’m so excited to continue to learn more at SheCodes. Thank you Matt and your fantastic team 😀.

I am so thankful to have found SheCodes. It was just the format I needed to gain the confidence to continue on the path to web development. Matt is a great teacher and breaks up things so that every concept is more manageable for absolute beginners like me. “I had so much fun learning the basics of Front-end coding with SheCodes! The way the course and the activities are structured, helped me loads in order to understand the lessons in a better way. Moreover, the video-tutorials, the challenges in each unit and the Slack group support, allowed me to achieve all the challenges by myself; they even made get more attracted to the programming industry and all its potential.  I found SheCodes through a friend that works as a developer. She knows that I want to have a career change and SheCodes was one of the schools that she advised me to look.As a person that knows nothing about coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), I finished the 3 weeks workshop with a completely functional page. Not the best looking, I have to admit, but with 3 weeks, I guess it was pretty good!I'm actually thinking of doing the longer workshops that they have (maybe the Plus - 3 months , or Plus React - 4 months).If you want to start coding, this is one of the best ways to start.P.s.: The name "SheCodes" is only for serving the purpose to narrow the gender differences in the IT area :)

I love SheCodes - these were amazing 3 weeks learning basic coding in a fun and interactive way. I would like to continue this exciting journey when I graduate from my MBA. The knowledge and skills I have gained give me a feeling of empowerment to do more and achieve more. Most of the time I got the feeling of flow and it was hardly possible to distract me from coding and learning - I did not expect to be so thrilled! Thank you for creating such an engaging challenge! I started the SheCodes Workshop without any experience and in three weeks I learned a lot! I really enjoyed all the experience of learning with Matt and all the other girls and I recommend the workshop to all the women that are interested in learning about coding! 💜

 Absolutely recommend SheCodes! I wasn't sure if I wanted to - or even could - learn coding, but these workshops made it extremely easy to learn and put everything into practice. You get the right amount of guidance and support, while still encouraging you to search for the relevant resources. 

I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the SheCodes Introduction to Coding Workshop, and I'm very much looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus! Matt explains things clearly, and I think the course set-up is excellent - the challenges are very helpful, the homework is useful for helping cement the new knowledge, and the final project was a fun way of testing my new skills, and starting off my coding portfolio. The Slack community is also very supportive, and it feels so good when you can help others as well. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get into coding, whether you are starting from scratch or have some very basic HTML knowledge like me.

This class was exactly what I needed in term of motivation and support. Just go for it! 

I've learned a lot in a short amount of time. This workshop has raised my confidence and desire to continue to learn web development. The lessons are informative and taught well. The challenges are great at reinforcing the lessons and pushing you to learn more on your own. I am glad I decided to participate in this workshop and I am excited to learn more

SheCodes courses was really great new experience. I am already enchanted and looking for new levels of coding. I really enjoyed all videos, given information, also Matt Delac has good English and nice voice, which really helped me not to scared of all amount of new tools. One more advantage was timing as it is online and i could managa my time accordingly other activities. 

SheCodes is an incredible platform. The videos contain concise and clear explanations, the challenges make us immediately practice what we have learned and the final project has an effect of satisfaction for having to use everything that was taught during the modules. It was an excellent introduction, great experience and I can't wait for the advanced workshop! Thank you, SheCodes!

 I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and would definitely recommend it! It's easy to follow and well explained but it also challenges you enough so that you can figure things out for yourself. Looking forward to signing up to the next levels!

 Highly recommend! As an absolute beginner, I found the lessons were structured well and were easy to follow. 

Can't believe I did it! I am so bad with logical and maths stuff from my childhood and I would never thought I could understand coding. Nothing is impossible, and actually it doesn't ask for same skills than scientist stuff. Matt's courses are really clear and I loved doing exercices step by step to understand all the pictures. It will help me a lot into my new UX designer career! I highly recommend SheCodes!

The SheCodes Beginner workshop was great!!! I liked that it was self-paced so I learned at my own pace/time but that motivated me to stay on top of the lessons weekly. The challenges at the end of the lessons were a good way to put into practice what Matt taught. Overall, I think this workshop is a great place to start and it's definitely peaked my interest in coding. I'm really happy & proud of the page I put together for my final project.
