SheCodes Basics

Learning with SheCodes has definitely been empowering and interesting. SheCodes opened my eyes to a whole new world that I didn't think I could be apart of. This course helped expand my mind and learn new skills at the same time. I have a learning condition and thought that was really going to make me struggle with this course but I'm so glad to say I was wrong. Each class helped me step by step and it felt great to have that support. I'm absolutely amazed at how much I accomplished with SheCodes and I wish I'd found it sooner. SheCodes is the best course I've done and I'm so glad I followed my gut because Now I see what I've accomplished in a small space of time and it unbelievable. For anyone not sure about SheCodes, take it from me you won't regret it at all; in fact, you'll be so happy you gave SheCodes a chance. Highly Recommended. 

I enjoyed this workshop so much!  I was an absolute beginner before starting this workshop. I thought my brain won't be able to get how to code. I am truly amazed how quick we learnt and what we are already able to do! True, we still have a lot to learn (so google will be your best friend for a while :D ) but it is also so addictive. I am definitely going to continue with SheCodes Plus, I am so excited!! I love your approach, it is totally fitting how I like to work and learn: the deadlines, the interactions on Slack, everything is so well-organised! I have already recommended it to my friends. If the year 2020 taught me something that's that we need to be the ones with the control over our lives. So I googled a lot for some basic programing courses, until I found out about SheCodes. Matt is a very good teacher, his way of explaining is very simple and easy for a total beginner as me, and the support team is excellent, with very fast responses. All together I am very satisfied with the SheCode courses, and will be coming back for SheCodes Plus or SheCodes Plus React definitely.”

This workshop is for beginners who have no previous experience in coding, such as myself. The structure of the course is great, everything is explained in a way that anyone can understand, although you must be familiar with how to install SW or how to work with the computer in general (saving files, opening 2 windows on the screen, etc.) as that is something that is not addressed but is expected from you.  I have noticed some people who took the course even mentioned they are not "good with technology" and I would not recommend those course to them.I loved the fact I could work on my lessons any time I wanted and even finish earlier but totally agree that going slower is not a good idea. The content was balanced and because I now continue with SheCodes+ I can say that the instructor gave the perfect amount of information in each lesson for me to be able to learn something new and make sure that I can build on what I had learned previously. At times, it was challenging, but just the right amount. I think overall it is absolutely worth the money. As a beginner, I had no idea where to start and now I am able to understand the basics and recognize the different codes of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and read it with confidence.One last note, it requires you to be curious and work on your own a lot. Accept it and make the best of it. There is a great support throughout from the SheCodes team as well as other participants, but you will get such a confidence boost if you only give it a try and figure things out on your own first.  I was always interested in learning how to code, but never thought that I would get the chance. When I first came upon a SheCodes ad, I was immediately intrigued; and when my employer asked me to attend further training during my short-term work, I jumped at the opportunity – and never regretted it. Being totally absorbed in the learning videos and corresponding challenges, hours pass without me realising it. I immensely enjoy putting what I just learned into action and can’t believe how far I’ve already come in such a short period of time. Coding can be challenging, but it is also a lot of fun and extremely rewarding. If you are unsure whether you should sign up for one of the workshops, do it! I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

SheCodes is everything I expected in a coding course and more! It teaches you the fundamentals, but in a truly exciting way alongside other women from all over the world. There's something really empowering about it! I can't wait for what SheCodes Plus brings.

I've had so many "false starts" learning how to code from various different sources and eventually came to the conclusion I just couldn't do it. SheCodes changed that! The clear, bite-size instruction videos, example code snippets, challenges and homework tasks are such a great way to see progress and make it all feel manageable and achievable. I have had a great time learning how to code with SheCodes. It not only teaches and gives suggested answers to each tutorials, but also allows us to ask questions when we face problems with our coding. Besides, the deadline of each week's homework disciplines me to pass up my project on time as I tend to procrastinate a lot. For me, it was the best decision to sign up for SheCodes.

It is amazing how much I was able to learn in only 3 weeks! The course is extremely well structured, all the steps and videos are very clear. I really like the teaching system: Learn - Challenge - Solution. It makes things easy to understand and gives the opportunity to try right away what I just learned. Matt is a great teacher - Bravo! Great introductory course. I feel satisfied with the knowledge, feel empowered to create my own landing page, and inspired to follow on with my learning! The classes are practical with tasks that build on previously introduced knowledge and are easy to follow.

 The SheCodes beginner coding workshop was awesome. I went into it with very little knowledge and came out of it creating a webpage that I was actually proud of. The way HTML, CSS and JavaScript are taught, really made me retain the knowledge. I found it easy to recall what I had learned when having to put it into practice.

Just wow! SheCodes has made learning to code so simple and fun! I am so impressed by this course and by what I can now do after only a couple of weeks of learning in my spare time. I can't wait to start the advanced workshops!
