SheCodes Basics

I loved this course! I'm writing my Masters dissertation these days and I was worried about making time for this workshop, but the instructions were clear and the lesson-related challenges were equally instructive, and I found myself completing tasks on time and retaining the information too! I'm looking forward to starting the SheCodes Plus course, and I'd recommend this workshop to everybody who wants to start coding.

I am very grateful to the SheCodes team for the opportunity to learn basic knowledge of coding. Despite the fact that I had no experience in coding at all, all the training material was extremely clear to me. Participation in the workshop from the SheCodes motivated and inspired me to develop in coding.

I really liked this workshop. I wanted to get a taste of coding and it has been a great experience.

I absolutely loved SheCodes Basics. It was extremely digestible for a person with no coding experience. They provide all the greatest resources. The only area that was a little tough was the end of the JavaScript section but they provided so many additional assistance via Slack, it evened out. I plan on pursuing further workshops when my situation allows it. Thank you, SheCodes! 

Matt is absolutely amazing at presenting concepts of any complexity! I enjoyed the course and had a lot of fun with all the challenges! Best educational experience I’ve got so far, highly recommend! 

What I loved about the course was how hands-on it all was. The learners don't get overwhelmed with the theory and are handed all the necessary tools to make visible progress in every class. I truly enjoyed the basic course and look forward to the next ones!

I really enjoyed sharing something I love (my town, Mitla!) in my final project. I'm surprised I could make something so polished after three weeks! Well, it's self-paced so more like two weeks for me. It's comparable in content to the Odin Project but unlike that site SheCodes is very direct and practical and almost all the content is on the SheCodes site. SheCodes offers mostly video demonstrations with transcripts and code examples. You learn on the site, you are not directed to learn thru links to offsite learning resources, although it is suggested to do further searching to bolster learning and links with resources are offered. There is very little fluff: no history of the internet beyond a brief summary. If you want something practical, direct, and efficient, this is it. The slack channel and LinkedIn networking are alive and well: this is very attractive if you are trying to build a network. It's also very international, not US-focused.

I highly recommend SheCodes for girls who want to switch jobs. The information was completely new to me but Matt could explain it easier for understanding. I was excited about doing my homework every time. Almost every exercise was with a bonus task where you should use your googling skills and logic.

I liked the sequence of teaching. Maybe the information is not very detailed, but the main things are highlighted and the materials provided, you can find what you need. I even can't wish for more in a short time.

Despite the fact, that I am a fully beginner on IT sphere, It was really fun and easy to understand first basic steps with Matt. I love that we have a lot of practice, but it's also really important to know the theory. Highly recommended to try! Already finished SheCodes basic and now I'm learning with SheCodes plus, really exciting to make new project.
