SheCodes Basics

I really loved how this class is presented and structured. The challenges after each section really helped me retain and understand everything really well and it was really nice to have Slack available for any questions. I enjoyed this class so much that it actually solidified my plans for a career change into software development! I'm going to enroll in the next advanced class and already referred it to one of my co-workers! Thank you SheCodes!!

I am a PhD student in Life Sciences and, to my shame, never learned how to code. I felt like I am so out of the culture of my peers. Whenever someone had a "coding screen" on their desk I felt "panicky". After completing SheCodesBasics I feel like I have regained my confidence and now I can focus on things that can help me with work like Python. Thank you SheCodes!

Great and funny course! The videos were easy to follow. You can go at your own pace, and the challenges are significant to learn step by step. I had some knowledge of HTML but the Basics course helped me to put all the pieces together. Matt was reassuring and this didn't make me feel alone in my frustration. Plus, SheCodes has all the tools you need (the radio feature is awesome!)

Great Workshop! It helps to make everything understandable while giving challenges that put the information into action.

The initial free session made it seem light and engaging and manageable. Absolutely not. It is not any of these things. Lessons 1-5 are fine enough, but Lesson 6 onwards - IN JUST THE FIRST WEEK- smacks you in the face with program after setting after format after structure. It's an insane amount of work to throw at someone with the advertised "zero experience." I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM.

That was such a great adventure to learn how to code, very clear lessons, I will definitely make a next step to code. Thanks SheCodes!

In this course i learnd better the html and css. Javascript was new for me. Good course

I already had some knowledge, but Matt showed some things that I did not know about. The lessons are presented in an accessible and concise way at the same time.I liked it so much that I did not notice how I completed the basic course in one day.

Three weeks ago I didn't know anything about programming and all those letters and numbers intimidated me a lot. Now, thanks to SheCodes and easy-to-understand lessons that can be rewatched multiple times, especially when you are a mom😅,  I can say that this is just the beginning. If you invest in your development time, effort and new knowledge every day, the result will not be long in comming. 

The workshop was well-paced and fun to work through, I felt like I was kept on track and made to focus without feeling stressed or overloaded. There is the freedom to be creative and explore with enough structure that I didn't feel lost. There was plenty to learn from the basics, but it wasn't so dense that I felt frustrated.

Very useful course! It is really for beginners, with balanced combination of theory and practice. The information is presented very clearly and correctly. You get the foundation, but there's a space for creativity. You get a strong basis and you are motivated to look for additional information.

I love this workshop so much! It's the best mix of theory and practice I've ever encounter. Every topic was precisely described by Matt along with many provided tools such as CSS Color Palletes and Front-End Cheatsheets. I'm looking forward to the SheCodes Plus workshop!😻

The courses are just great! The best I have ever come across. The support group is always there. The training is very interesting. I'm going to start programming professionally!
