SheCodes Basics

Very easy to follow the lessons on coding basics and as a hands on learner, the activities made it easier to grasp onto the HTML, CSS and JavaScript languages. I have started the Plus workshop right away and can't wait to complete them all

I'm positive this course has launched the beginning of a great career for me. Matt took his time and broke the lessons into the simplest form ever. Never in my imagination had I thought I would know how to code but here I am, coding and speaking coding terms. Lol. I knew I made the right choice by registering for the SheCodes Express class and subsequently signing up for SheCodes Foundation. Thank you Matt!

I'm thrilled I signed up for the SheCodes Basics workshop! I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop because of its organization, community, and feedback. The challenges and homework projects are challenging and fun!! Matthieu Delac is an excellent teacher and the support from the SheCodes team is fantastic. I would highly recommend this workshop for newbie coders.

I haven't played around with HTML or CSS since making MySpace skins as a teenager. This course was a great refresher to dust off those skills. And I learned a brand new skill with the introduction to Javascript. The lessons were short and straightforward so the time commitment was very reasonable while working fulltime. The challenges for each section helped you build off of each previous lesson, showing how HTML, CSS and Javascript can be used in conjunction. Highly recommend for beginners and those who need a refresher!

SheCodes basics have been phenomenal, I started the course with ZERO knowledge of coding, and to think that in 3 weeks I've created a website landing page is absolutely crazy to me. Matt is such a great instructor and makes it playful and easy to understand. I'm so excited to proceed to the next stage and continue the journey with SheCodes 🥰

This was my very first introduction to coding and I believe SheCodes was the right choice. I really enjoyed the format of the SheCodes Basics program - structured with lessons and homework, but you still had the freedom to go at your own pace through out each week. I also really liked being a part of the Slack community - everyone is willing to help if they can and then you have the support of SheCodes as well.

Programming course from SheCodes is my very first experience of fully online studying. Another thing is that it was my very first programming experience. And I'm very happy with this course! It's interesting itself and a platform is absolutely comfy for using. I always had enough of explanations from lessons and additional links. Sometimes tasks were tricky but in a positive way. I only got more excited to deal with that task! I'm curious to find out more on the next level and will gladly recommend this course to my friends

Shecodes was a great experience.  It was taught in small manageable chunks that built on the previous days learning and provided great hands on opportunities to try the skills that were taught.  I took this course because I am a teacher in Ontario Canada.  The province has recently added coding to the curriculum and I was nervous about teaching something that I didn't know anything about. So I took this course to get a solid understanding. Now I feel much more comfortable with the subject and confident enough to talk to my students about how cool coding is. I'm so glad that I took this course, for such a reasonable price too. 

I have greatly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics Workshop, the lessons were easy to follow and very informative. I feel the way that the system is set up is very good for people looking for a safe environment to learn to code with lots of support available should you need it. I'm looking forward to the next workshop!

Loved SheCodes Basic! Short and straightforward videos with clear explanations and simple examples specifically designed training material for beginners and advanced students alike. Extra info with links at the bottom of each video where you can learn more. Who knew that it would be more difficult to decide on the colors you want to use for your final project than the coding part itself 😅. Good thing Matt has a solution for that too with SheCodes Color Palettes and CSS Gradients. Thank you Matt & SheCodes team!

SheCodes is a great initiative to learn and understand coding. It has a great format which makes it possible to learn coding next to your full-time job. The Basic course was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the Plus sessions.
