SheCodes Basics

Classes were very well explained and I loved how smooth the week went by with learning everything. Definitely recommend if you are thinking about a potential career in coding! I am someone who is a perfectionist as well and want everything to be organized and this course was just that! Everything had its own place and just very easy to access.

 The perfect workshop to start learning from scratch. The structure of the program and the teaching methods are well thought out. Information is presented gradually and dosed, and therefore it is assimilated easily and without haste. My subjective opinion: a wonderful start that fuels interest in further study. 

The course is straightforward to follow (great for a proper beginner) and Matt breaks things down perfectly for a beginner to understand. The way the workshops are formatted made it easy to fit around my day job . Overall it was really interesting to learn more about coding and I enjoyed every minute! 👍

The best part of SheCodes Workshop for me was it's well designed practices after each lesson. They are not too hard nor too easy. They make discovery and curiosity sense which leads to a strong willingness for practicing.

SheCodes Basics was soooo fun! I found it very interesting how HTML elements and javascript works. Exploring all CSS options, color palettes and gradients was super fun playing around with the colors and refreshing the page to see what it looks like! I would totally recommend SheCodes to all women who work with developers and who wants to learn how to create web pages. I am 100% keen on learning more & participating on the monthly challenges! For the longest time I have wanted to get into coding but I was a bit intimidated and thought that I needed a formal IT degree in order for me to understand or to get started. I am happy to report that I was wrong 😁. The course material, course content and Matt were easy to understand and follow. I really enjoyed myself and I cannot wait to get started on the next course.

This is tough for me to learn as a hands-on learner. So to conquer this I would type my code along with the lectures. This is very well laid out and well done. I am looking forward to the next course!

I never thought I would be able to write a line of code and make it functional, but SheCodes made me believe. I loved the experience, the videos in each lesson are very enlightening and the practice exercises are great. They are not exact copies of the examples given in the lessons, which makes it all the better to practice. Step by step, Matt makes you able to build something. I can't wait to continue and sign up for a new workshop!

I HIGHLY recommend SheCodes. I took the free workshop and immediately wanted to take the 3-week course. I come from a teaching background so I was very nervous, yet excited to learn coding. SheCodes was a lot of fun and not as intimidating to learn than I thought. Matt explains things explicitly and in digestible chunks where you can apply your knowledge in challenges.
