SheCodes Basics

I have a legal background but I am now confident in my ability to code !!! I am excited to continue my learning journey^^I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the SheCodes program. I have learned so much about the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a short period of time. The instructions were clear and concise, and I was excited to complete each exercise. The SheCodes team support was also great. There was many moment when I got stuck, but the team was quick to help me find a solution.I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. For me, attending the software development session was a game changer. I was first hesitant to enter the realm of software development because I had little coding skills. The workshop, on the other hand, exceeded all of my expectations. The lecturers is extremely knowledgable, patient, and adept in breaking complex subjects down into manageable portions. The practical knowledge gained from the hands-on exercises and real-world projects was helpful. I'm such a skeptic when it comes to online learning, due to the fear of failure. But with Shecodes I excelled. I learned new skills that showed me that I can reach for the stars. What I love the most about it, is how easy it is to repeat the learning material for one to be able to get the hang of things. I also love the flexible schedule that's allowed for one to do their work. The instructor excelled at explaining the work and showing how it can be applied. There is room for one to make mistakes and learn from them with no judgment. It's truly a place one can grow and develop in. I absolutely love it and honestly prefer it over anything else.

Having been interested in getting to know how to code for the longest time, SheCodes Basics gave me the opportunity to get a taste of what it is all about. With an easy to follow video tutorials and insightful coding exercises, I'd really recommend those interested to try the workshop themselves!

I have just graduated from the SheCode Basics and have already jumped on the Plus workshop!It's such an easy way to learn coding with your own pace (that's coming from an ADHD student), I've just put a 1.5 speed and got trough all the classes in a blast.I love the fact that each lesson has a challenge and you can't go forward if you don't complete it (instead of just a final project for example), makes my brain cells work even harder!Highly recommended, 10/10 for newbies to coding like me!

I enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. Creating something from scratch and seeing it work as expected was liberating and empowering. Matt's clear explanation and the content itself kept me hooked to learning more with each lesson. Each concept is broken down into small video lessons that are under 10 minutes and don't make us feel overwhelmed and intimidated when learning something new and challenging. I look forward to learning more in the next workshop!

Great beginner's course, really enjoyed it. Matt was very thorough and explained things really well. There were many resources available too and everything on the website was clear and easy to navigate. The tutor was responsive and the SheCodes Slack channel was a great way to interact with other students as well as instructors when you need help. 

This workshop's easy-to-follow instructions and practice-based approach are perfect for anyone new to coding. The whole process of learning and creating was gratifying and exciting instead of a tedious task.

This is my first time learning Javascript. It was a lovely introduction and I really learned a lot! I'm glad to have tried the Basic course to get a feel of web design and will consider expanding upon it for the future. Thank you SheCodes team!

“Thanks to Matt and his team for this great opportunity. I had a lot of fun, it is great to have a challenge with most of the lectures to apply what you have learned and I loved to have actual results in the end that I can show to others. I started this course to get some basic knowledge in coding as I am trying to change careers into UX Design and be better equipped to talk to developers, but I might just change course completely and switch to coding ... I am not sure yet, the jury is still out there. But who knows?” 

I recently completed the SheCodes Basics course and I can't recommend it enough to other women who are interested in coding. The format of learning is engaging and the pace is just right. The homework assignments are thoughtfully designed to reinforce what we learned in class and encourage us to explore and figure things out on our own. The SheCodes team is also incredibly supportive and responsive on Slack, which really helps when you're stuck on a problem. Overall, I'm really happy with what I learned in this course and I'm excited to continue my coding journey with SheCodes!

Learning how to code with SheCodes has been the best experience of my life, I can't wait to learn more and become a professional coder. The way that the learning material is set out makes it easy to understand and the challenges after every lesson help  give you a more practical experience and it challenges you to learn more and it’s very fun as well.

I started coding less than a month ago and have learned so much. SheCodes is the best platform to learn how to code because in such little time, you are able to learn so much and the team is constantly there to help whenever you get stuck with anything.
