MIT IDSS AI & Data Science Program

It was an amazing experience going through the program. The program allows you to work on programs and quizzes on your own time. The lecture really helps you with all the concepts clearly and I am grateful that I have enrolled in this program. 

AI and Machine Learning are all the rage these days. When asked by your organization to use AI to solve a problem, how do you know if the problem is well-suited for an AI solution? What's the likelihood of your project succeeding? This is why I took this course. I wanted to actually implement AI in a number of scenarios to see what works and what's hard. I did that and learned a ton. 

This program is a wealth of information and would be valuable to anyone interested in data science or someone who works with data in their current field looking to increase their skillsets in data analysis, manipulation, and machine learning. There really is semesters worth of information packed within a blistering 12-week program, but even working a full-time job and a busy summer holiday schedule, I never felt overwhelmed with the workload. The MIT professor's lectures were clear and engaging, the Great Learning platform is easy to use and convenient, the program managers were available and helpful, and the live lectures with our assigned industry professional gave a ton of access for questions and discussion. The examples and case studies that are worked on throughout the course touch on many different industries and applications which I found to be very insightful. As someone changing career paths and just starting in data science, I feel much more prepared and focused.

This course has been awesome, I learnt a lot and developed useful skills. Also the staff has been incredibly nice and helpful, really recommend this program!

This is an excellent course with great exposure, training and mentorship on innovative concepts and trends in Machine learning. I have successfully completed the Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data - Driven Decisions with MIT and Great Learning. It was an amazing journey of learning. Though hectic, it is worth taking the course to get to know significant concepts of data science and machine learning and how to apply to real world problems. Mentoring sessions are highly beneficial giving overall idea of different topics and clear guidelines. Course materials are valuable and can be referred throughout. Course coordinators have a professional approach. Overall I am happy and felt a great sense of accomplishment in doing this course.

I really enjoyed the classes and learned a lot in this course. The way the spread out the quizzes and assignment, you'd have enough time to do them and actually review the materials

As a professional with experience in Maintenance, Project Management and Supply Chain, this program has helped me to visualize the practical usage for these new skills I've just started developing. The simplicity of the theory-practice way of working and the fact that you learn at your own pace makes it easier. Program managers, professors and staff are always attentive to your needs or support. Overall I can tell I'm satisfied with the program and visualize this as a way of taking better business and operational decisions with the proper tools to do it.

The interaction among these students, enriches the already substantial learning environment.
So the program is a very good combination of method + content + teachers + students + learning pace

I am an engineer trying to get into data science career and I really enjoyed and learned a lot from great learnings with MIT affiliation online program for Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decision. you get great instructors that explained the concepts clearly and every module has short learning videos followed by many practice quizzes that really helped to get an understanding. and on weekends we get mentioned and conceptual learning sessions where we can ask any questions we have with a live class support. this is by far the most organized online  programs i have taken so far so i would recommend anyone that wants to get into data science to take this classes  . great experience , support team and platforms !!  

Simple put, the most profound learning journey I have been a part of. It has transformed the way I think about, view, and solve complex cases. I will definitely refer this to anyone interested in the course. 

This course covers great aspects of data science and machine learning. From making sense out of unstructured data through statistical approaches to application of machine learning algorithms. I really learnt a lot from this course. “Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions” provided by “Great Learning” and “MIT-IDSS” is a journey in itself. It is an incredible experience of ten weeks with honest and disciplined learning. I have done many online programs during the last two years, but I genuinely agreed with the fact that this program is different in itself. The program material, level of quizzes, project work all were designed considering one’s learning speed, workload, and capacity to achieve. The best part was that I learned Python programming during the pre-course work, which helped me to understand data visualization techniques and their applications in building Machine Learning (ML) models. We learners also got a chance to connect with other enthusiastic people across the globe during the mentor sessions of the program. It was indeed a great practice knowing how people are evolving themselves in the world of data science. Thanks to wonderful mentors, who provided generous support throughout the program. I must insist on people taking this program and have faith in “Great Learning”. If you are looking for magic to happen in your thinking towards data science and ML then this course is best to accomplish! Please go ahead and enroll yourself without any doubt :-) 

The course is structured in such a way that a learner comes across each concept several times. A learner first sees the pre-recorded videos from each module from MIT professors. Then they go through additional reading materials. By this time, a learner already has a good grasp of the newly learned concept before attending the live private mentor learning session. Here the mentor goes through the concepts once more in-depth and clears the doubts. Another optional mentor learning session takes place where the mentor explains a real live project and how that is solved. Then finally, another round of study of the quiz.I can not remember any time of my life before, where I learned so so much in a short period of time. If anyone likes to get holds on the machine learning topic very fast and effectively, this is the right place. This course is expensive but totally worth it.

There are courses and then there is DSML by Great Learning/MIT. This one is guaranteed to exceed your expectations from the scope of content covered, the depth of content in every week, and hands-on coding, the theory covered by MIT professors, support from actual data-scientists and always supported by great Program Managers. The course instructors are always available to go into depth on any topic of your choice and cover the details from their experiences. It was fun to dig into code again after many years. This course is better than reading 10 fluffy books, blogs on various DSML topics or other off-the-shelf courses. Mind you, it is intense, not at all easy, and lasts 3 months long - Looking forward to be done after this weekend!
