Altcademy's online coding bootcamp has been a great platform for me to develop my self-motivation skills. The structure provided by the program is ideal to prepare for a full-time software development career. There is a right balance of theory and practice, plus the feedback from instructor is very helpful. Highly recommended!

The course is good, the instructors are extremely nice, responsive and helpful, BUT the course is ALLLLLL over the place. examples are extremely confusing (seem totally misplaced or irrelevant) and include things you haven't even learned yet in the example code, which makes it way more confusing. I found there was no flow of content its here and there then going back then too far forward and its overall an extremely hard course due to this reason.

Altcademy is on the cutting edge of teaching people to code, moving forward this model will make all others obsolete. This program has surpassed all of my expectations. The curriculum is deep, yet straightforward and easy to understand. There are so many exercises and assignments to help solidify the concepts. The most enjoyable part is the support I am getting from my mentor, oftentimes helping me break through mind blocks that last for hours. This is an amazing program.

Learning to code is not for everyone. It's a long-term commitment and requires hard work. You need to be able to spare at least 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week for at least 4 to 5 months, including the weekend if needed. You need to be able to prioritize and stick with it. Personal time will suffer, family time will suffer. Programs like Altcademy are great because the structured learning path ensures you are learning concepts in the right order, which removes a lot of unnecessary roadblocks and deadends. In the end, it's going to be worth the time and work.
