Applied Data Science Program by MIT Professional Education

The "Applied Data Science Program: Leveraging AI for Effective Decision-Making" course offered by MIT Professional Education in collaboration with Great Learning was a robust and immersive learning experience. It provided me in-depth theoretical knowledge and project experiences.The course was well structured for both coders and non-coders. Its live virtual classes with MIT professors and weekend mentor learning sessions were very informational and interactive. The faculties were very interactive and helped with every question I had. The pop-up quizzes in mentor learning sessions were very interesting and it helped to think all the scenarios around the topic.The Olympus platform was very easy to use. It made the access to all the course materials seamless. The detailed recorded sessions were very helpful as well with pop-quizzes. The guided practice projects provided a lot of insight into how to prepare and follow a project path.Finally, the coordinator of my program was very helpful and prompt with all my queries. All the details about the course was communicated timely and explained clearly.

This course has a lot of interesting and insightful information and includes concepts in Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Deep Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Data Analysis and Visualization, Python and AI. I got a lot of useful knowledge from this course. However, It was very challenging and extremely time consuming. So it’s important to come up with efficient time management and study strategies, specially if you are also working full time. The MIT professors were amazing and answered all of my questions on these very complex topics. The course says it’s only 3 months but it was actually nearly 5 months to complete. My cohort started in November, but the class did not graduate from the course officially until March. Despite the longer time, there was so much content to go through in this course that 5 months is still not enough to get through everything else that they offer in this course including additional bonus courses integrated within the program student portal on Olympus. Having said that, Great Learning does try hard to make your money’s worth. Mentors were very knowledgeable and true experts in their field. I am very happy with the responsiveness and eagerness to help from MIT staff and the Great Learning team.

They've teamed up with MIT to provide live virtual classes led by MIT faculty, and they host engaging weekend sessions with industry experts in Data Science, who offer priceless mentorship and support to all students. 
Their online learning management system, Olympus, is extremely effective and very user-friendly, making the experience of online learning seamless, practical, and enjoyable. 
Some aspects I loved about this program include its thorough training, which includes various practice case studies and hands-on projects and the fact that all classes and sessions are recorded, so students can easily revisit the material at their convenience, allowing for a more personalized learning pace. 
I also had the privilege of working with an amazing Program Manager who was patient, understanding, resourceful, and always ready to help by providing quick clarification and assistance in all aspects of the program whenever needed. Furthermore, Great Learning’s incredibly supportive Academic Team was always available to assist us with any questions or concerns regarding our studies. 
This program has transformed my life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to grow as a Data Science professional!

The MIT Applied Data Science program greatly helped me advance my career and acquire the practical knowledge necessary to progress to the next step. The material is accessible and engaging (the lectures are amazing!). They will give you enough background to get up to speed. I was unsure if I could complete the work while having a full-time job and family responsibilities, but the course does give you enough time to absorb the material.  Plus, my boss will help me reclassify as a data scientist for my role at work. Thanks to all the mentors, professors, and program managers - it really was an excellent experience!  I am grateful!

Having completed courses in Data Mining and Data Science in the past, I enrolled in the Applied Data Science Program (ADSP) as a refresher. This program was essential for achieving my goals and reigniting my passion for data science. The well-structured curriculum and challenging nature motivated me to dedicate my weekends to producing high-quality work. I particularly valued the courses on Deep Learning and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. The support from the Program Manager and mentors fostered a strong sense of community. Their quick responses and helpful resources empowered me to strive for innovative, real-world solutions. Additionally, collaborating with my teammates during mentor sessions allowed us to share our experiences and concerns openly, enhancing our learning journey.

Just finished my Capstone project for the MIT PE Applied Data Science program. Faculty was knowledgeable, content was excellent, support was timely and helpful, and I really enjoyed the format. I'd definitely recommend this project to any professionals delving into ML and Data Science.

I've started the course with a huge expectations and it fully filled everything I've needed.I've gotten a shy start by my side when I was confused, but during the course I've realize that mentors and managers were polite and always ready to answer all my doubts.Course covered all the topics in a good way, with super good teachers for every live session, mentors to help us with the final insights to catch all the important things, clear case studies, good guidance during every project and complete study material.

The course takes 12 weeks and includes 6 courses, which are obligatory to be completed. Coursed include python and statistics, data and visualization, machine learning , deep learning and recommendation system. The lectures are lead by MIT instructors. Mentor sessions augment lectures by detailed hand-on seminars. The course is concluded by Capstone project. Throughout the course you are supported by mentors for training and office for admin issues. You also can talk with industry experts from the field for career advise and resume review. This is a great course to get knowledge and experience, do networking and get access to some exclusive resources.

This program was excellent for me as a beginner in Data Science. In few months we overview the foundations and went to complex concepts in AI. The faculty and coaches were very patient and facilitate the information with real case scenarios. The activities and learning material are very useful. Coding with Phyton is not difficult and I couldn’t get the basic level for starting my journey as data scientist. I strongly recommend this course if you want to get into the AI world and improve your career portafolio.

The data science course was incredibly insightful and well-structured, providing a comprehensive understanding of complex topics. The instructors were knowledgeable, engaging, and always willing to help, making the learning experience highly effective and enjoyable. The hands-on projects were especially valuable, as they allowed us to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world data.However, the time between the final report submission and the presentation felt a bit too short. A slightly longer gap would give students more time to refine their presentations based on feedback and ensure they deliver their best work. Overall, a fantastic course that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to advance their data science skills!

I have just finished the Data Science Program and I would like to share my opinion. First of all, I would like to mention that I had no preparation in Python programming or statistics. Great Learning took care of the training before the start of the program, which allowed me to prepare very well for lectures, mentoring sessions and projects. The materials are very good and the content is delivered in a very professional way. By participating in this program, you gain knowledge about data analysis and visualization, unsupervised training, Deep Learning, Recommendation System. 12 very intensive weeks of classes - but also time to gain fantastic knowledge. I highly recommend it!
