Applied Data Science Program by MIT Professional Education

This was my time to attend online courses, and I chose Great Learning because it provided MIT certificate of Data Science. It really sounds attractive.  
I was an expert of digital marketing especially Facebook and Google paid ads. Since I learned Econometrics when I was a graduate student and Econometrics also included linear regression and binary regression, part of Data Science was not totally new for me. 
However, Data Science provided by Great Learning explored more advanced topics than I thought. I provided amazing online courses that the main lectures were taught by MIT professors who went through many important concepts, and during the courses, professors were always willing to answer students' questions.
During the weekend, Great Learning arranged mentor sessions around 10-12 students and students can clarify any problems that was learned from this week. The mentor went through how to use these methods in Python. I really loved the mentor session since I didn’t have any Python background. 
To be honest, I was not a Python expert after this lecture, but I learned many Python logics and I could keep learning Python on my own since I know many basic concepts of Python from this lecture. Moreover, I also learned more skills to read the data and analyze the data, and then interpreting the results. The assignments and the capstone report are very practical that we could really use it in the real world to solve for the problems! This is the best part!!
Originally, I was not very confident that I could get the certificate. I spent 1-2 hours per day learning Data Science as I was working. I couldn’t believe that I overcame it, but yes, I did it. Thank you, all mentors, managers and professor of courses.  
If you don’t have time to attend all courses, Great Learning also kept all records that allows students to do review. They also provided various channels to answer any problems regarding the courses. 
Now I’m going to update my CV to pursue a better job and better future for myself. 😊

The AI and Machine Learning Course was an amazing experience! The course was well-structured, starting with the basics and gradually introducing more advanced concepts, making it easy to follow along even for those without prior experience. The MIT professors were fantastic, with deep knowledge and a knack for making complex ideas accessible. What I loved most was the hands-on approach, working on real-world data projects that gave me practical skills to apply immediately in my work. The collaborative atmosphere with fellow students made it even more enriching. Overall, it was a highly valuable learning journey, and I feel confident tackling AI challenges in the future! 

I do recommend this course I did have a very good experience very complicated material was explained in a very simple and understandable way and the support team is fantastic and very responsive 

Online classes are a delight, with excellently qualified proffessors from MIT. The material and topics are well organized and the dashboard is friendly and clean. Overall time for the complete course is tight, however. More so if you also have other activities like work or school. If you are struggling with this, you will find help the from kind program managers. You might find a couple of technical issues (although I found very few) along the way, do not stress out as help is always close by. Overall, I found the course lacking a little bit in some areas, however, it gets cancelled out with support team. Great Learning values effort and dedication to the program

I was a student with the MIT - Applied Data Science Program via My Great Learning organization in July - October 2024. I have had a tremendous learning experience throughout this course. The course was well organized, and I was consistently supported by the program manager Ms. Prashi. The program was intense, advanced and very applicable in teaching concepts for machine learning and deep learning. I especially enjoyed the hands-on projects, as it gave me a chance to apply the knowledge gained in this course. I am proud of how much I was able to achieve and learn in a short amount (e.g. Python coding, managing large data sets with EDA, feature engineering, clustering techniques, decision trees, Recommendation systems and ARIMA models). Thank you to My Great Learning for creating this wonderful resource for professionals in the field. I highly recommend this intensive course if someone is looking forward to advancing their career in the world of Data science and Artificial Intelligence. 

The program is organized very well. The entire Great learning team is very professional. Punctual on time and every session is very well organized. MIT lectures were great. Great learning mentors are  very knowledgeable and  excellent. It was such a pleasure doing this program . Very enthusiastic team and learnt a lot during the entire program.All the sessions are very interesting. The entire course is very well coordinated and got lot of support from project manager during the entire program. This course is a great introduction to concepts of ML/DL.

I recently completed MIT-PE ADSP JULY 24'B on great learning, and I must say they did an excellent job. The courses content were comprehensive and well structured, covering all the essential topics in data structure, machine learning and AI. The professors, instructors and mentors were knowledgeable and provided clear explanations, making complex concepts easy to understand. The practical assignments and projects were particularly helpful in reinforcing the theoretical knowledge. The project manager was always willing to help. Overall, I highly recommend the program to anyone looking to deeper their understanding of the world of data. Great job MIT and Great learning,

The Applied Data Science Program by MIT & Great Learning exceeded my expectations, offering a perfect blend of theory and practical application. The course delivers concepts and methods in several formats, including video, notebooks, and reading materials. It's all provided on one platform, making it very easy to use and digest the concepts. The professors and mentors thoroughly explain each concept in live lectures and videos, ensuring that by the end of the module you have a really good understanding. On top of that, each week you have the opportunity to clear up any confusion by asking questions to an expert in the mentored sessions. Highly recommended if looking to add data science skills to your repertoire.

 I'm a newly arrived immigrant to the U.S., having been here for six months, and my last class was ten years ago. It was the first time I had been exposed to coding, so I struggled with Python's syntax and errors at the beginning of the course. However, with the guidance of the Program's experienced industry mentors and MIT professors, I gradually became accustomed to coding. I am much more comfortable coding and fixing errors as the course ends. I can handle complex projects, including electives and capstones, and even participate in hackathon competitions. 
Even though I don't rank high among other learners, the hackathons have allowed me to identify my shortcomings. Since then, I have continued to sharpen my algorithms and coding skills. I am incredibly thankful for this Program, and one of the most important points I want to highlight is the excellent support from the program managers. The practical support helped me and other learners overcome many difficulties throughout this journey. 
My determination to become a professional developer in the tech industry has only grown stronger through this course. The foundational knowledge I've gained here will be the bedrock on which I'll continue to build my skill set. I am deeply grateful for this Program and consider it a significant milestone in my journey toward becoming a professional developer. Thank the Program and the Program Manager for the invaluable support. 

The design of the program path was great, takes the student from intro to advanced topics using the right knowledge path. The mentor sessions  were very insightful and the program manager was very helpful and always available to provide guidance and support 

My experience with this course far exceeded my expectations. You get real MIT professors teaching 3x a week. Course content is fantastic with multiple avenues to learn and absorb the material (live video lectures, recordings, follow along case studies, lots of ‘recipe’ python notebooks and many more resources). The human element is what really sets this course apart from the MIT professors to in industry mentors, as well as the great learning lecturers. Special shout out to our program manager, Shubham, for making everything work seamlessly, especially when life and work commitments create special challenges to focused academic study. The capstone project really cemented what the course is all about, practical application of data science. I recommend this course without reservations to anyone interested in this area and wanted to enhance their skills or make a career pivot. Truly a transformative learning experience. 

I was eager to learn coding with python. Cannot forget my wife asking me why "python" and "anaconda" terms, I also wanted to find out. But that was the start of my incredible journey. It was a fulfilling yet challenging experience that pushed my limits, deep into the nights, some interesting dreams, above all insightful. Everything, was making sense after every class. Starting from great roadmap, MIT faculty classes, the mentored classes to fantastic program managers.  I did not have a background in data science, computer science or statistics, or engineering but it all made so much sense. I'm hungrier for more. I can recommend this course a million times. Fantastic team. 

 The MIT Professional Education Applied Data Science Program: Leveraging AI for Effective Decision-Making was an engaging and highly effective program delivered by Great Learning. 
I would highly recommend this program for anyone interested in upskilling for their career ambitions, or those wanting to explore the world of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for their chosen industry. 
Among the course modules the Foundations for Data Science, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Recommendation systems were some of my favorites. Elective courses in Generative AI and ChatGPT’s development stack were fascinating. 
The course was demanding with its rubric and clear standards of academic progress throughout all modules. High praise goes to Great Learning’s mentor team, ancillary content materials, and support resources. The learning portal is intuitive and organized. The communication from the Great Learning Program Manager, and from the learner portal, kept me motivated and on track to complete the course successfully. 
The shining stars of this program were the M.I.T. professors, the Great Learning mentor teams, and the learner community participating in this innovative instruction. The hands-on labs and real world scenarios the mentors used to illuminate the instruction made the learning compelling, digestible, and assured the absorption of the material.  
This program includes content and instructional approaches that cater to project managers, program managers, coders, and business unit line leaders. The content was outstanding (live instruction, live mentoring, and online course content). The concepts learned will continue to make a difference in our approach at work to improve our speed and efficacy at making critical decisions affecting product development, strengthening customer relationships, elevating our customer experience, and will be invaluable as we navigate future strategy for our organization.

As someone who does not have any background in Python Coding and Data Science, the Applied Data Science Program offered by Great Learning and the MIT faculties is an excellent online program to get my foot in the door and my knowledge and skills up to speed in the field of Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Python Coding. I cannot understate my appreciations on how intuitive the platform is, how knowledgeable the professors and the mentors are, and how well the program has been organized by the Program Manager - Shubham Chourasia. 
The learning curve was certainly steep for me. However, thanks to various recorded lectures, online sessions, case studies, and hands-on projects. I was able to manage the coursework at my own pace and become well acquainted with the broad range of topics the course was trying to cover. The case studies and hands-on projects provided in the course all had real-life relevance, making them not only very enriching, but also very rewarding to work on. 
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to acquire new skill sets or to expand their existing ones.
