They provided a really well-structured course, and they offer a lot of help in learning the materials.

The course focus on practical data science skills and the course is quite extensive since the course utilizes weekend hours only. The instructors offer extra help during weekdays, which become a big help in learning. I’m a computer science student who was familiar with python before joining the course. The data science is a topic of my interest. However, with their proper guidance, I can stay interested and absorb the materials in three months time.

 I attended the 6-week course at a cost of $5800. Part of the reason for choosing thedevmasters was that they offered lifelong learning. They're nice people and they made me feel welcomed and capable. Having little experience with data it was a daunting task for sure but I felt confident because of their warmth and seeming knowledge. 
The classes were interesting and made me feel excited about the anticipation of being part of this great industry.

I'm sitting here contemplating a job at McDonald's just so that I can pay all the money borrowed to pay for this waste of time. They didn't teach me anything that wasn't available online for free.
Also, all the work done was saved in their student portal which was switched to their own platform that I can't access and all they seem to care about is looking good so that more people sign up for their classes.

They have improved their program but not $5600 better. They advertise offices in several places but in reality, they rent rooms for the day and are disorganized in every aspect imaginable.

The DevMasters program was invaluable for me, it has allowed me to excel at interviews for data analyst and data scientist positions!

Projects are 100% hand-on and reflect real problems faced by companies. The support of the DevMasters team, in particular Sr Scientist Zia Khan, was crucial to succeeding in learning Python, data modeling, and advanced concepts in Data Science (such as Recommendation Systems, or Sentiment Analysis using Twitter Feeds.)

DevMasters is a great course for providing one the foundation they need to break into the field of data science. The course starts by teaching you the fundamentals of programming and Python syntax and ends with introductory classes into the big picture material including, but not limited to, natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning. While it is not required, if this is your first time programming or you are not very familiar with Python, I would recommend completing the free codeacademy python course beforehand just so the first few days of the course will not completely overwhelm you with brand new material.

 The teachers are extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter and are very willing to address any questions/concerns you have.

After completing this program, I feel I have a solid foundation of the data science principles I need to continue learning and diving deeper into more advanced topics and projects.

They also use the term Project Based Learning to describe the process which is a great description of what they do. The team is very competent and passionate about the material. They really want people to learn the material and they do this by having a course that is very focused and efficient. Give them a try and come to one of the meetups. You will certainly benefit.

I am an Information Systems graduate who found this course looking to extend my knowledge from undergrad. Specifically, I wanted to know more about Data as I became an enthusiast after working with a Customer Strategy team for my internship. I was not aware of the skill of Data Science so I was amazed at the topics the class covers such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. I learned a variety of programming languages in undergrad like Java, PHP, and SQL so learning Python in the course was not too difficult. I really enjoyed the Project Based Learning portion of the course. The projects mimic real life cases you could face as a Data Scientist. These projects also give you experience in cleaning data, building predictive models, and feature engineering.

I highly recommend this course because of the great team you will get to learn from. If you never coded a day in your life or have no statistics background, this course is still for you. The DevMasters team will get you moving in the right direction to master Data Science. There is a lot of great knowledge to gain from this course if you are willing to put the time and effort to learn a new skill.

The DevMasters is a learning center(s) that offer(s) courses in data science. They offer scholarships sometimes, too. The best part about it is that it's a one time tuition fee (payments schedule available) and you can join all courses. If you feel behind, you can jump to another team to repeat some classes. If you're ready for some different topics, you can join them as well! Their classes are offered all day on the weekends, so it works perfect for those with a weekday job. Most classes are 8 hours which a lunch in between, so you will need a lot of will power. You are expected to practice throughout the week to complete assignments and projects. They have organized instructors that really know what they're doing and have experience in the field and offer office hours throughout LA. If you want a career in data science, I highly recommend a program like this.

For me, theDevMasters program was the most compact and convenient path to come up to speed on some of the most popular Python packages and tools used in data science/machine learning.

My team of instructors (i.e. Zia, Kate, Sidy, and Jay) was knowledgeable, patient, and able to deliver a lot of hands-on, technical, and conceptual material effectively and in a short amount of time.  From those with backgrounds in inferential statistics, you should have little trouble transitioning to the predictive modeling focus of machine learning.  Of course, not everyone will have prior modeling experience, but that didn't seem to hold back my cohort.  My group had a good mix of learners from varying backgrounds, which encouraged more questioning and conversations in class.

Overall, I had a very positive experience with the program and would recommend any prospective to at least sit in on one of their group learning sessions, review the curriculum (which appears to be updated regularly), and meet with the instructors to really understand and appreciate what you can get out of the program.

Hello there ! i am pursuing MS in Data Analytics & has baised background of math & mechanical engineering, here in Devmasters i have started with zero background in any programming language & stastics but over the period of time dev masters cource work & teaching staff made me pro-efficient in python & machine learning, now i am able to do short term project of data science with use of machine learning algorithms & data sciensce libraries in python, all the staff are experienced data scientist coming from different domain so in projects that we have done in The Dev masters we got to know being a datascienist how you will approach to the problem, so its not just about training for tool but these Course is blend of technical knowledge of machine learning algorithms, tool training (python),domain knowledge & braining storming for doing project. So far i have completed 3 projects over here & also attending lectures every weekends, the best part is you will get help & discussion hours for solving your doubts by istructures any time on email,phone or inperson.

As a student i will strongly recomended to all who wish to persue therir carrier as Data Scientist or becoming a machine learning expert.

Hello, My Name is Nehar Begam, I finished the DevMasters Machine learning data science boot camp. It was very helpful for me especially because I came from no coding background. They have amazing prework which I did for about 4 weeks and later I completed my boot camp for 8 weeks. The best part of Bootcamp it is 100% applied hands-on. It helped me to understand the concept and apply it in right away. At the end of every class they have in class projects which help us to master the whole day learning into 3-4 hour intense project work. DevMasters work with you for 350 hours in-person training. They have amazing staff Zia , Kate, Sidy, and Jay. These are very high-end professionals with Ph.D. and machine learning specialization. The most important factor about their project is Project Based Learning (PBL). In PBL class your do 6 projects with your team. It runs for 4-6 weeks. These are all project with real data or kaggle projects. In PBL I build my job skills. It was like working with Data Science company. The class was fun and all team members and staff are very helpful. Thanks a lot to devmasters team and the value of the program is amazing. I will call it hidden secret in LA & OC. I will recommend new learners to join this program.

My name is German W Aparicio Jr and am a Project Manager at Gehry Technologies Inc, a Trimble company located in the Los Angeles area which provides consulting, strategic advisory and advanced project delivery services to leading owners, architects, engineers, builders, fabricators and industry professionals worldwide. I have both research and professional experience as a consultant for leading design engineering firms and universities. I received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and a Masters of Science in Architectural Studies (SMArchS) Design and Computation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
I chose theDevMasters because of the accelerated 6-week hands-on learning experience being offered and various topics covered in the Data Science field that would allow me to get up and running in a short amount of time.
I think the topics covered and real-world project examples are the most interesting but, working with and getting to know theDevMasters team through hands-on coaching, especially from Kate and Zia, was the most rewarding. I could have learned some of the same material online, books or other university programs but, getting face-to-face time and real-time replies to your questions from industry experts and practicing Data Scientist is unbeatable.
