Rutgers Bootcamps

Learning from Arooj and Justin has been a life-changing experience. Besides picking up Python, SQL, and the many software packages, I really enjoyed completing the projects. Not only when I completed them on my own ahead of time but working with my peers was extremely rewarding. Taking on the large four projects were daunting at first but also meant a lot to me with each different team. Creating the connections with my classmates were important in keeping the class engaging. I had a phenomenal time learning and would highly recommend this course to anyone committed to Data Science. Having previous exposure is recommended.

I have spent a lot of time researching online on how to create my own webApp and found it to be a huge challenge being that there are so many resources online and steps required to complete a full stack webApp. Joining this Bootcamp has allowed me to closely work with the instructor to dive deep into all the necessary steps to creating a webApp. I have also had the chance to work with tutors to help me get through some tough homework assignments. I am more than halfway done with the bootcamp and the knowledge I have already gained is a whole lot! The instructor is very patient and does an amazing job explaining every line of code to ensure his students understand how the functionality works. The guidance is awesome and I definitely suggest anyone looking to learn code to join Rutgers Bootcamp. Even for someone like myself who already had some background knowledge in web development, I learn something new everyday! I highly recommend this course to all beginners, intermediate and even advanced. And to top it off, the career services provided to help prepare for future jobs is incredible. 

When I originally signed up for the Bootcamp, I was extremely nervous.  I had very little coding knowledge and was driven to make a career change.

Throughout the Bootcamp, it was evident that a lot of time and effort went into preparing each class and student assignment.  

Our instructor would give a lesson on a new topic, and we would go into breakout rooms with other students to work on an assignment we just learned.  The instructor then reviewed the assignment with the class to ensure everyone understood the material before moving on to the next topic.

At the start and end of each class were office hours, where we could ask questions and spend time with the instructor and TAs to review any class material to help better understand it.

These 3 months were some of the hardest and longest 3 months i've ever had. I would not have been able to get through it were it not for my amazing Professor, TAs, and tutors. My professor went above and beyond for all of us. He helped us with homework and projects whenever possible and always made sure that we understood the curriculum before moving. It really was a transformative program and im happy I did it and had all the help I did. Im now more confident and ready to start a new career. 

 I recently completed a phenomenal 6-month full stack coding bootcamp that truly made me feel alive. In this immersive program, I mastered MERN applications, JavaScript, HTML, MySQL, and more. The curriculum offered a perfect balance of programming fundamentals, software development, and hands-on client projects. It was truly an empowering journey that provided me with a strong foundation in front-end and back-end development. I'm now confident in my skills and excited about my future in the tech industry. 

I enjoyed taking this course very much and learned a lot from it in such a short time. The 24-week part-time web development course is an excellent course for anyone to become a full-stack web developer. I learned new skills every week. This course definitely requires you to dedicate plenty of time to studying, especially for those who do not have any previous programming experience. In the end, I feel that I have been greatly rewarded with the knowledge and skills that I will need to follow the path of web development. I would highly recommend this course to anyone seeking to advance their career in web development.

My consideration for this course first came from a place of a desperation. Fresh out of my battle with cancer, a stalled degree, and too much uncertainty over my future I knew I needed to gain some control over my life. So through the recommendation of some mutual friends one month after being declared cancer free I would embark on a six month journey that would leave me feeling more fulfilled than I've ever felt in my entire life. This bootcamp will push you to your limit and test your patience every chance it gets, but you will leave it with a strong skillset you had no idea you were capable of. Through instructors that care so much about the material and your individual progress, the resources to further yourself along and an environment that only has your success in mind, you're more than equipped to handle every challenge that is presented. I graduated with a new sense of confidence I desperately needed, a future I'm no longer afraid of, and to my biggest surprise a community of my peers, some of whom have come to be wonderful friends. Anyone looking to make a change in their life, career, or just wanting to try something new I can't recommend this bootcamp enough. It will not be easy, but nothing deeply rewarding and worthwhile ever is. 

The Data science boot camp at Rutgers University was an excellent experience, one that I will never forget. When I started the program, I knew nothing about data science or data analytics. I was familiar with the technology used such as PostgreSQL, Python, along with the other programming languages that are used in data science. however, I didn’t know about all the tools the combine that make data science work. Fortunately for me, I registered for data science boot camp at Rutgers, the program provided the necessary skills to start a career as data scientist or data analytics professional. With the homework assignments and projects done and posted to my GIT hub account I now have a portfolio that I can showcase with pride to potential employers. The Rutgers University data science boot camp was a good choice for me one that I would recommend to other boot camp seekers. With all the programming languages combined with the machine learning and big data technology thought, as a graduate of the Rutgers data science boot camp I am now marketable to move into a data science career path.  

First thing that comes to mind when I think of this course is "Wow! I can't believe I learned all of that in 6 months!". The course was challenging, but not overly hard. I do not come from a Data background (I'm an accountant), and most of the processes/systems were completely new to me. I recently completed my MBA in Quantitative Analysis and needed some experience working in the programs that were used in this course. This is a very fast paced program that does require 100% effort, but if you are willing to invest in yourself, you should give it your all anyway. The instructor and the TA staff were phenomenal, and really help make sure you understand the material. I really feel that if I can do it anyone can.
