    Full time coding bootcamp

The classes are very fast paced which makes sense because its only 3 months. The instructor and TA were helpful although towards the end there was some “just google it” responses to my questions, I understand there is a practical part to this, but it was a little frustrating. Other then that I did receive a lot of support both outside and inside the class. I also received support in the career field with one-on-one support. Overall, I would give this class a 9/10.

Way to go, Saqueb! We're thrilled you benefited from the support of our entire team both inside and outside the classroom. Like you mentioned, while we strive to equip students with a robust academic framework, we also work hard to help individuals develop strong problem-solving and self-teaching abilities through internet research and other available resources; two essential traits developers constantly utilize in real-world roles. Congratulations on successfully completing the bootcamp! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

    My Personal Bootcamp Experience

Making the decision to join the Rutgers Coding Bootcamp over 6 months ago felt haste and a little reckless at the time. I was confused about what I wanted to do career wise and was in too deep to change my major, again. I felt completely lost and decided to embark on this coding journey because I saw how my brother's life changed for the better once he finished his coding bootcamp. But I still wasn't sure if I was doing it for the sake of others or to satisfy my own needs and wants.

This online coding Bootcamp is the most intense class you will ever take in your life.  I learned a lot and am confident to apply to jobs as an entry-level software engineer, HOWEVER, I was coding every single day a minimum of 8 hours a day.  I took 6 days off in the 12-week period.  Two homework assignments a week plus four hours of new material Mon-Fri was overwhelming at times.  It was a lot to learn, a lot to study, and a lot to master in such a short period of time.  I recommend at ...

    My Best Decision

I was pretty nervous going into the course, I had no previous coding experience of any kind. Over the course of the class I learned coding skills I could have never imagined learning. Along with that I made great friends in the class and discovered my talent for website concept design. Hi Anonymous, thank you for your feedback. We regret that your program experience did not live up to your expectations. Our mission is to assist as many hard-working, aspiring developers as possible. As a matter of fact, as you read through feedback on Course Report, you will find several instances of individuals who were successful with no coding experience prior to beginning the course. We designed our program to help individuals with varying proficiency levels, ranging from those who may have more experience to novice self-starters who are seeking a career change. Before starting the boot camp, students are provided 30 hours of pre-work, and we do recommend that those without any previous experience take it a step further and also spend time on free online tutorials in addition to the pre-work. Upon starting the course, we begin by covering the basics, giving students a solid foundation upon which they will build throughout the program. Each lesson iteratively builds on the last, and we find that as the curriculum progresses, students feel more and more confident in the material. Because we know this is a challenging course, we do offer several means of support including office hours, Slack, and free tutoring sessions. Were you able to take advantage of these?

Our professional development services are built on the principle of empowerment. While we do not secure direct employment for students, we offer in-depth job support by helping individuals achieve the 'Seven Milestones to Become Employer Competitive.' Starting in week three, students are provided the tools and templates for developing a personal brand and in the following weeks continue to build a noteworthy online presence, technical resume, and stand-out portfolio. Leading up to week 21, students have the opportunity to prepare for technical interviews by practicing with their Career Director and classmates. We finalize all career ready tools in week 22 to help students receive personalized feedback on their professional materials from their dedicated Profile Coach. We hope you found these resources and assistance to be helpful. We know job seeking is hard and often a full-time job in itself, which is why we encourage individuals to submit a large number of quality applications on a weekly basis to maximize their professional networking and increase the possibilities of securing a well-matched position. We do our best to communicate to individuals that building a career and landing your desired dream role takes hard work and commitment - two key factors that can only be accomplished by the student. Our career services offering is frequently being updated to improve our ability to equip students for the job search, so we appreciate your insight.

We sincerely care about our students, and it is our goal for all students to leave the program feeling equipped with the knowledge and resources to find the right tech role. If there is any other way in which we can support you at this time, please reach out to us at (732) 430-2144.
