I graduated from a Stockholm Node Coding Bootcamp with the idea of focusing my future work on Data Analytics. My initial plan after graduation was to start as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, so I accepted a Data Science internship at a cloud communication company. Currently, I am working as a Consultant in the Private Capital department at the World Bank because I realized that this field aligns more with my interests. The job is very interdisciplinary, and analytics are part of the daily job. Data skills are essential in consulting, banking, IT, software, pharma, and many other industries. Node primarily focuses on programming, but it also teaches knowledge that can be easily applied to MS Excel, Power BI, and other tools. For those not coming from an IT background, it provides a solid foundation in IT skills as well. My recommendation after graduation is to go beyond applying exclusively for Data Analyst positions—leverage your previous background as well!

I am working as an analyst as a direct result of completing Nod's coding bootcamp and learning the technical skills they teach. I was hired three months after completion.

Before attending Nod, I was working with sales & business development. I had a university degree which is largely irrelevant to the field of data analytics, but I was inspired to try something new in my career. I completed the 10-week bootcamp in the summer of 2023, which included learning the fundamentals of python, SQL and building a portfolio with ML projects. The course was a mix of classes with codealongs, labs with training exercises and projects & presentations - this variation was very stimulating.

I recommend this course because:
- SQL is essential knowledge in the field of data
- Python and ML are great modern tools to have an understanding of. The portfolio of projects you will complete help to showcase your skills.
- The in-person environment of this bootcamp makes learning 100x easier and more fun. 

I attended this 10-week intensive programming course without coding experience and it turn out to be perfect!
The programming was all on-site and rapidly get you started in the world of Data Analytics and Machine Learning step by step.
The curriculum is well-structured to ensure sufficient coverage in breadth and depth.
The teachers are very knowledgeable and super supportive, they update the most relevant things. Beside technical support, they set you up in the best possible way when job searching.
The course was intensive while well organised. The 10 weeks went by much faster than I thought. I wasn't bored a single day, challenging at times though.  It is actually crazy how much I learned in this time. Everything felt meaningful and very rewarding.

Absolutely the top cause of sleep deprivation! I've absorbed a tremendous amount of information into my own neural network, and I'm genuinely excited to put it all into practice!

To focus on coding all day for 10 weeks straight has been one of the best decisions I've made for myself.

Ever since I got introduced to coding in university I have had a great interest in it, but I could never manage to really get going on my own.
In 10 weeks I have learnt more than I've learnt over the past few years  — all while having fun together with my classmates.

I could not ask for a better group to do this with.

Perhaps most importantly: the instructors are clear and pedagogical, both in presenting new concepts and helping you with your code.

Enrolling in this coding bootcamp has been one of the most transformative decisions I've made in my research journey. I started the course with a mission in mind, to acquire the necessary skills to handle multidimensional data in my research. Today, I stand here not only with that mission accomplished but also with an expanded understanding and a plethora of skills that will undoubtedly contribute significantly to my future endeavors.

The magnitude of knowledge and practical expertise I gained in such a compact timeline was simply astounding. The phrase "time flies when you're having fun" took on a whole new meaning as I found myself immersed in a wealth of information, challenging tasks, and stimulating discussions. I never believed I could learn this much in such a short time, but this bootcamp made it possible.

The course is very comprehensive, covering the essentials of data analysis using python and diving into the intricacies of machine learning methods. Each module was designed to ensure we grasped the fundamentals before progressing to more advanced concepts. The quality of instruction was consistently high, and the pace of the course was well-balanced to accommodate different learning styles.
What truly sets this bootcamp apart is the highly useful toolset I've walked away with, perfectly tailored to use in future research. This toolkit has empowered me with the capability to navigate and manipulate complex data sets, opening new doors in my research career.

 I would highly recommend this bootcamp to all life science researchers wanting to explore the world of bioinformatics. The course provides a solid grounding in coding and data analysis and does a fantastic job of demystifying these subjects for researchers from non-computational backgrounds.

In conclusion, this bootcamp has significantly exceeded my expectations, transforming me from coding an-alphabet to a proficient coder, ready to take on more complex research challenges. I was looking to make good use of my time to learn as much as possible when it came to relevant industry skills in as short as possible with a strong foundation behind my learning journey and attending the coding bootcamp offered by NOD did that and much more for me. I can say that at least for me pretty much all of the course content sat at that sweet spot between being too complex or too easy that made it challenging enough for me to rapidly learn new concepts and be surprised of how much I learned in such a short amount of time.

The fact that such an emphasis is put on the projects and the feedback when you present them makes it really valuable in my opinion since you are not only learning the technical side of coding but you are also preparing to be confident in your abilities to present and be proud of your work! 

Course:
I had a fantastic exprience at the bootcamp.
The course was packed with content and it was quite alot to take in sometimes.
You definetly cant slack around at this bootcamp.
I was not really used to the fast pace of the course, but you will find ways to adapt.
With some persistence and commitment you will learn ALOT!
Main focus was on analyzing data in a variety of fields, shape and condition.
We also practiced preparing, cleaning, reasoning, questioning and story-telling which was nice.

Be prepared:
We used python for this with alot of different clever libraries to make things easier and efficient.
You absolutly need to prepare yourself with some knowledge of python basic syntax.
The programming is basic and easy but be prepared! Your focus should entierly be on data-analytics. 
Machine Learning was a really cool part, it was alot easier than expected. 
I think some academic background will be helpful, you don't need to solve complex math problems yourself since python will do it for you.
But understanding the mathmatical process behind the different statistical theories will greatly enhance your learning experience and skills.

Class:
Teachers are talented and friendly. I got alot of support and help when needed.
They worked hard from the beginning to push the class into positive vibes.
My classmates were very friendly and supportive, we had no bad apples in class.
The athmosphere in class was very relaxed and quiet during leasures,labs and code-a-longs.

Conclusion:
Don't hesitate, just do it!
