Joining Hacktiv8 Bootcamp was a major turning point in my career. I transitioned from working as an IT staff to becoming a Frontend Developer, and the bootcamp played a crucial role in making that shift possible. Before enrolling, I didn’t like JavaScript and struggled to understand it. But since JavaScript was a core part of the bootcamp curriculum, I had no choice but to learn it. Surprisingly, what I once thought was difficult became the programming language I’m now most confident with.

My main goal in joining Hacktiv8 was to learn technologies that are relevant to the current job market, and it truly paid off. What I learned during the program has been directly applicable in my current job. I now work extensively in frontend, backend, and even mobile development—especially using React, TypeScript, and Next.js. These are the technologies I use daily to build medium to large-scale applications, often structured with microservices architecture and complex integrations between frontend and multiple backend services.

Advice for future students:
I highly recommend having some basic understanding of the key concepts and technologies before joining the bootcamp. Even if you're not proficient, being familiar with programming fundamentals, SQL databases, REST APIs, and GraphQL will help a lot. It’ll make it easier to grasp the concepts during the bootcamp and allow you to focus more on applying them effectively.

This full-time program focused on equipping us with the skills to become a well-rounded Full-stack Developer.

What truly set this bootcamp apart was its teaching methodology, perfectly aligned with current industry demands. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to explain complex concepts, ensuring we grasped everything thoroughly. The curriculum was well-structured, starting with fundamental JavaScript and progressively moving into advanced topics like React, Next.js, Node.js, and databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. We even covered React Native for mobile development. I particularly appreciated the hands-on, project-based learning approach, where several projects were completed both individually and in teams, which allowed us to build multiple full-stack applications from scratch, truly preparing us for real-world scenarios. We received excellent training and guidance from mentors, and the remote environment was seamlessly managed with effective online collaboration tools and consistent support.

While the pace was intense, as expected in an immersive bootcamp, I felt that some topics could have been given a bit more dedicated time. Perhaps offering optional advanced workshops on specific niche technologies would further enhance the learning. For some learning materials not directly covered in class, we were encouraged to study them independently (self-paced learning). If we ever encountered difficulties, we could always consult with our mentors.

Overall, I would highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone serious about transitioning into a full-stack development career, especially for those considering a remote learning path or a career switch.
